This was my first time at Save More Beer & Pop Warehouse and I have nothing but good things to say about it! The staff was so kind and helpful, working with me to find everything I was looking for to help me host Steelers Game Day. I'm not much of a beer lover but I found great seasonal options for my friends and family and I left with some seltzers and mix to make Bloody Mary's in the morning for myself. I also found some great N.A. options for a few friends who prefer not to drink alcohol. There's something for everyone. The selection is so extensive and the prices are hard to come by. It's a little bit of a hike to get here from south hills for me but totally worth it. I will definitely be stopping back for all of my hosting/tailgating needs!

If you're in Pittsburgh and looking for a solid beer store, check out Sav More Beer and Pop. They've got a really impressive selection. From kegs to single beers, I've found their prices to be some of the lowest around. They've also came in clutch with tubs for kegs and taps for me when nowhere else seemed to have them.

I've been coming here for years, because they're cheaper than the distributors around me. You can find a wide selection of brews, ciders, seltzers, and snacks. All of your cases will be arranged by state at the back of the door. Your craft beers and speciality drinks are placed at the front of the store where you'll find lots of fun, colorful cans and bottles. These crafts could be 6-packs, 4-packs, and singles.

Where I live we have to buy our beer and alcohol in stand alone stores for now until they eventually get them to grocery stores but that won't be for a while. That being said I'm used to not having the convenience of picking up beer or wine while grocery shopping. This store I've seen a lot when going between Shadyside/Squirrel Hill and heading down to Homestead and Waterfront. As far as beer goes they have a really large variety of beer that is sold here and many brews from all over the country as well as imports. What I couldn't pass up on was the deals that they have on Yuengling. Being that Yuengling is local I was especially going to take advantage of the deals. A 24 pack case (cans) is only 15 dollars here, premium and lite are a dollar more. THAT is a really good deal. In Buffalo if I can even find a case of Yuengling at Walmart it costs closer to 19 dollars for a 24 pack. The prices for other beers seem to be inline as regular priced whether bottles or cans such as around the 22 to 25 dollar range for mainstream type. Of course the specialty brands are going to cost more and may not be available in 24 packs but rather 12's and 6's. Now that I've finally gone to Save-Mor I'm not going to bother buying beer at either Walmart in Buffalo or the Duty Free at the border when going home. The prices of Yuengling here make it worthwhile to only buy it at Save-Mor. Instead of driving back to Brown Hill if you want a quick and dirty way to get back to 376 take the back street (Saline) because Beechwood has a long line and light.

The store is very organized with beers grouped by state and country, and they carry a huge variety from local breweries as well.

The Open Road is here in the up-and-coming Garfield neighborhood to help supply sober and sober curious people, and really anyone interested in cutting back on alcohol or supporting someone who is, with delicious beverages that help you feel like you're not missing out on a thing. There are nonalcoholic beers, spirit-free versions of things like gin, bourbon, bitters and truly anything else you might need to make yourself alcohol free drinks at home. There are also pre-canned and bottled options where you don't have to do any of the work, nonalcoholic wine and bubbly, functional beverages with added benefits, the amount of choice is nearly overwhelming in the best possible way. It's a clean, open vibe in the shop and the staff is kind and helpful. I have bought from them a number of times throughout the year at various pop-ups but this was my first visit to the shop and of course won't be my last. They are regulars at Pittsburgh festivals and other events and I'm deeply appreciative for their presence in the community!

I'm not sober but this store is for everyone! I started shopping here a couple of years ago during Dry January. I now do Dry July or dry-ish July too They have so many options! Great for cutting down your drinking or completely abstaining. Also really great to pick things up here if you're having a party, get together, company over, and so on. I personally have a couple of pregnant friends who cannot drink but like Non alcoholic wine. This is just such an amazing concept as a store and it's awesome seeing places like this start to pop up. More people are cutting back or going sober and you never know someone's reason for not drinking!

They served Collefrisio wines and had great cheese plates. My friends and I would go for their happy hour for half priced glasses of Riserva wine. It was a very laid back atmosphere. I don't think the wine bar has reopened, but I visited recently for a coffee. De Fer Coffee & Tea is now the coffee provider inside the grocery store. I guess I haven't been there for a while, because there were a lot of changes! The macaron stand isn't there any more, and they have seats instead. I was so glad that I took my laptop with me, because once I saw the seats I decided to stay and work. While sipping on my oat milk latte, I watched all the Downtown work people come and go ordering custom sandwiches and hot foods for lunch. They have a good selection of food and the prices are reasonable. I remember one time ordering salmon, veggies, and something else and it was only about $10-$12. They served it to you on a plate, and I ate it in the wine bar. I didn't eat anything on this most recent trip, but I enjoyed my latte from De Fer. I'm glad to know they have seats now because I definitely plan to eat/work there more often. They also have a restroom downstairs that is kept clean.
