I was getting desperate and ready to call people I know from the area but haven't talked to in years just to see if they happened to have a bottle of wine laying around their house that they wanted to sell to me. Who knew it would be so hard to locate one bottle of wine to drink on a Saturday afternoon if you are in the Leechburg Area.... So I had to drive just shy of 20 miles vs. 5 round trip because Leechburg Liquor and State Store is never open and closes bright and early on a weekend night.... Next time I know to just bring my own bottle in my suitcase.... But seriously you had a nice selection of wine and I was able to get a bottle of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay chilled out of the cooler for 10.00. which is a pretty good price. I also grabbed some little bottles with twist off caps of some Pinot Grigio....I haven't tried that wine yet...but cheers to you Vandergrift for supporting the drinking habits of your visitors....Lord knows there isn't much else to do around them there parts of the country.....

They typically have a large variety of craft beer 12 packs on hand, so I like to grab two different twelve packs to get more variety. I came at an off hour around lunch on a weekday and it was still fairly busy. They have a decent selection for their size but really just not comparable to the revamped locations that are three to four sizes bigger. Their liquor selection is really basic, but I found the wine selection to be adequate, and the employees friendly. It will do in a pinch, or in my case, they had a specific bottle of Rye that I wanted that other locations were out of. They would better served to remodel and open in a bigger store front.
