Two times I have been to this brand new flagship store. Both times I've been let down by the front of the store. What happened is the self checkout closed. So people who wanted a quick in and out, now had to wait in a line down the isle, like the line I was waiting in. The person in charge (Gabe)opened new resisters to relieve the line stress but in both times I was there on different occasions (Gabe) the person in charge took people from the other line and started two new lines while the suckers in my line waited twice if not triple the time it took to purchase our items. If I were you I'd stay with Safeway or Raleys. Enter at your own risk, but if your in a hurry, best drive down the street to Raleys. read more

4/7/23 came into deli this morning to have a sandwich made. Chicken salad well get home start eatting it and get this horrible chunk of nasty in mouth it's a big size of straight raw chicken not even cooked. The two times I've came here I've gotten the worse customer service even the customers that go here are rude. Not sure if it's a racial thing or what. The first time I came in I got attitude just because I was asking for a fork for the potato salad I had purchased at the deli. The second time I was checking out and my daughter was standing next to a white lady and my daughter pointed at some watermelon she had at her self check out (mindful that my daughter is 2 and curious) and this lady straight un snatched all her things so my daughter wouldn't grab them. I apologized and said my daughter is learning her fruits and this lady straight up ignored me. I'm sorry I didn't know I was in a high end grocery store. I've always been a huge fan of Savemart cakes. I recently ordered my dads 70th Birthday party cake from the new store excited about the new location. The party was 70's Disco theme and I requested specific colors in a disco Theme. When I picked my cake up I was so disappointed. They decided to attempt a disco ball right in the middle of the cake. I love the atmosphere and the new look inside of this store however when I got up to the cash register my cashier was rude and unwelcoming which I didn't understand considering the fact that she wasn't that way towards the customers In front of me. Such a beautiful stores. Millions of $$$$ spent to make amazing. So why did it take me almost 15min to checkout with only one ahead of me. NO BAGGERS! I saw 1 bagger with 5 lines open. Observed 5 managers walk by, look and keep walking. Really? What happened to teamwork and pitching in when busy to help cashiers? You spend millions of dollars and are too cheap to have BAGGERS. It's the same crew from the lakes store with some new friendly additions. We get our meat from the grill every weekend and the service and quality is stellar. After working a late night shift I went to Savemart 01-24-2022 between 6am-7am. I bought 4 Dungeness crab for $78 for dinner later that night. Today was opening day, and the opening must have been the most highly anticipated store opening I've ever seen. The place is packed! My first impression was a little underwhelmed. I expected to walk in and see the most beautiful grocery store I've ever seen. Instead, I felt the decor was dull & boring. It's clean, and crisp, but too monochromatic. My friend described it as looking like a Winco with just a splash more color. Ouch! I love the specialty stations. I got some food from the hot food station. The tri-tip was great, the mashed potatoes & gravy very good, and the roasted root vegetables crunchy. Just how I like my potatoes & sweet potatoes- not. The fresh sushi is very good, I love the salad bar. That's something this side of town was sorely in need of. Overall, good store. I like it. Corn on the cob and tri-tip from The Tipping Point. Both so good. My boyfriend got broccoli and cheese soup from the hot food section and he didn't care for it but the tri-tip made up for it. We would definitely get that again on a night we don't want to cook. read more

I am not impressed with the new store on Oakdale and Sylvan. There is no pharmacy. We've got a pandemic raging yet the aisles are a mile long, with no escape cross-aisles should you go down the wrong aisle. Also, there are standup displays taking up space. Recently, I realized I was not in the correct aisle and had to get out. Hyperventilating, I had a "choice" of going to my right where a customer with children & a cart were blocking, or to the left with an unmasked customer coming toward me. A grocery store in the East Bay has directional arrows in all their aisles, and require masks and have available sanitizer. You guys have been out of cart wipes at 2 stores. On this Yelp page SaveMart says masks are required, but it's not true. I saw 2 women talking on their mobiles throughout their entire shopping outing, even yakking at the self check -- with no masks the entire time in the store. I doubt there was even anyone on the other end of the call, more likely an excuse not to MASK UP! Also, get some help in all of your hot delis. Those people are understaffed and working hard. read more

I have been coming to the store for a couple of months on and off, including last Wednesday, but I think that will be the last time. First of all, they are constantly out of items, and some items aren't even carry despite what's in the ad. I don't know why the produce section doesn't carry more grape tomatoes, but it seems like they always have only one carton on the shelf, and I need to to make my salads for an entire week for my lunches. I refuse to pay $.70 more for a premium brand because they keep running out of the regular brand that I need. Also, they don't carry Yuban coffee for some reason. I just want to give a shout out to the sushi counter. The man and women who make the sushi are AMAZING! I work in the same plaza so I go grab sushi often. They always greet me with a smile and if they dont have my roll premade they will make it for me fresh! Also for some weird reason Savemart does not sell spicy mayo (sriracha mayo) so I always have to ask for an extra side of it and they always stop what they are doing and get me a little cup of it. Love this super market! Specially the meet department and the BBQ Grill department. Is very big so you have to walk around. At the beginning it could be very overwhelming but give your self some time to learn your store.
