Save Mart (in Hanford) is a very nice, full service grocery store. Although somewhat lacking in ethnic foods, they do offer some. The prices are somewhat higher than other local grocery stores, but SM is a very well apportioned store, clean and spacious, to shop in. I especially like a few things about Save Mart: the bakery, the deli, (but the wings are way too salty); the cook to order grill attached to the meat department; and now, even sushi created fresh daily. Product quality is always very high and appreciated. The things I don't like are: being charged for each small produce bag to put my veggie selections in, and the somewhat deceitful pricing practices - I.e. the buy one, get one free meat sales, and the necessity of e coupons for the best specials. I also don't care for the games. I know it is a successful marketing tool, but believe the dollars could be spent in other ways to lure in the public. All in all, I think Save Mart is a boon to our town, serving many people quite happily that other markets don't satisfy, and I am very glad they are here. read more

A well stocked and comfortable store to shop in. The employees are friendly and helpful. Gives one a feeling of security and allows one to shop and take their time. It is a large store but easy to find what you need. Very clean aisles and shelves and end caps and displays stocked. I used to be in the grocery business and I spot a lot of things that are positive. This store is so overpriced and the employees look like they hate the store more than I do. It has never been great but since new owners took over it's definitely worse. The clicked items on the app don't work properly and you should check your recipe every time you walk out. The store is usually stocked properly but you pay dearly. I've lived in Los Angeles my whole life, but being from Fresno with most of my family still there and coming back to the Central Valley for visits, more or less I've been shopping at Save Mart since I was a kid. In the last few months I've shopped at the Kingsburg location several times and I'm consistently impressed at how clean it is and how friendly and helpful the workers are. They are also well stocked and I always find what I need. Love the updated look too. Parking is plentiful and the self checkout lines help me get in and out.. especially when we're getting supplies to get settled in for our visit. I would definitely shop at the Kingsburg location again. read more

Recently moved to this town and started shopping at the local save mart and have had some bad experiences with some of the employees. Not sure if it's because of my ethnicity but a certain employee always stares at me until I leave the store and has even followed outside as I left. I have tried to talk to the manager but the manager seems to disregard my concern. I hope this behavior doesn't continue. read more

Frustrated. I needed a large turkey for Christmas. For some reason plus 20 pounds have been hard to find this year. This was my 4th store tonight so imagine my excitement when after looking through one freezer here of "buy one get one free" turkeys for like 0.99 a pound to not find one, to look across the aisle to see a freezer of obviously large turkeys. I see the price of 2.99 on the label but check the app and sure enough this brand was supposed to be $1.99 a pound. At register the turkey rings up as $2.99. Upon asking the cashier, and showing him my app price, he notices my turkey labeled "fresh". I said well clearly it is frozen, not fresh. He said well someone threw it in the freezer by mistake. But the freezer was full of "fresh" frozen turkeys. Not just "someone" threw one in the freezer. I went to take it back but again realizing I needed turkey for Christmas so I extremely overpaid for a frozen turkey because its label said "fresh". So now I have the needed turkey for family dinner but am frustrated by the amount I paid, and the false labeling, as well as the lack of willingness to adjust based on the product. The guy just kept saying that says fresh when my app said frozen for that price, and I was telling him it is clearly frozen, you'd think that would have indicated a price adjustment but no such offer was made. The store is lovely and well organized but is willing to definitely overcharge the customer. read more

Be careful. The prices they have as signage are not always what you are paying at register. Weigh your fruit and make sure you take a picture of that too so that you know the scales at the register are also charging more. Not a good issue to have "Save Mart". Granted they do have good sales, customer service is over all good. There are about 3 employees that are meh attitude. But overall good. I still can't help feeling I spend so much less at Costco. read more

Save mart is posting face mask to be worn in store! But the store is full of people without mask and some employees have them on but down not doing any good! Does not seem to be any kind of enforcement at all! Bagger laid my bleach on its side, leaked all over floor, put my hot already to eat ribs on end in bag with bread and other stuff, grease on everything! Kingsburg customer service has gone down hill. I use to love doing my shopping at this location and was excited when they opened up. Now it just seems they want to get you in and out, without a greet of some sort or a smile. The cashier's here at this Save Mart are extremely rude and pick and choose who they want to acknowledge. It seems as if they discriminate for your color, choice of wardrobe, or who they know. They depend on the self checkouts and have extremely long lines almost every midday and evening. The help there is unacceptable and floor people never smile. They have an older gentleman and woman who by the way has like frizzy blonde hair who are outspoken and say what they feel about you. I have told them on different occasions smile more greet us and all they gave me was attitude. I am an older man who likes the old fashion way. Yet these folks you have their need a meeting from management to let them know what it is to get us back as customers. read more

The employees are what make this store. Its a clean store, good products, good sales, convenient location with lots of parking, but I repeat it is the employees that make this store so good.... One negative- its a small town, there are no bike racks for locals to lock up their bicycles...EDIT!!!! I found the bike racks, they are on the east side of building!!!! read more

Yes SaveMart, I have to knock you down a star. OK, right around the first of the month, we know it's the busiest time for shopping, right? So why, oh why, around 6pm, do you only have ONE lane open!? All the self checkout lanes are open, and only one real cashier. I always have reusable shopping bags, and I want my 5¢ per bag discount! I can't get that if I use the self checkout. I also can't buy alcohol in the self checkout, because you have to wait for an attendant to come verify your ID. That's really annoying! So they REALLY need to get it together and have more than one lane open at a time when they know things are getting busy. What ever happened to the express lane!? read more

One reason I like savemart is cause of Rosa brothers milk being there. Their gas saver card is also nice, if you fuel up at shell, which you should. Because cheap gas will kill your car. But what I don't like about savemart is they crank their prices up. I can say this is a nice savemart nonetheless. I like it. read more

I must admit I do not live in Kingsburg, but my folks do. Today is Sunday of a holiday weekend and any place in town with a public copy machine is closed. My folks are not tech savvy and do not have a printer. After calling all the places I could think of to see if they had a public copy machine (CVS, Walgreens, Kmart, Walmart in Selma) I gave it one last shot and called SaveMart. Deanna answered the phone and asked a couple questions, then told me to come in and ask for her. My mom and I went in, she asked a couple more questions, then took the forms we needed copied and copied them. SAVE MART,THIS WOMAN DESERVES A RAISE! Huge store. Well organized always have what Im looking for on hand. Staff is hit and miss meaning some are friendly and some seem smug. The biggest let down here is that the lines are always without fail so long. I wish they had more lines open at a time. read more

The store is remodeled. It looks nice. The problem is the "old" employees are still to busy to help customers or even acknowledge them. I bought less then 15 items and decided to use self check out. After 14 times of the machine calling for assistance, and 20 minutes of my time, did an employee tell me it was because I used my own bag. This Save Mart is extremely clean and well organized. Super friendly customer service. I am not from Kingsburg but we pulled of the freeway to see if they had a bakery so that we can pick up a birthday cake and they had a bakery plus much more. I was very impressed. Been to this store many times and it has always been pleasant. Very clean and well kept inside. But the last few times I have been there, the shopping cart storage area must have a homeless person or something staying there. It reeks of urine. Just nasty. Even my daughter gagged. read more

live in Kingsburg only really get Beer here but in the last year selection went to vendors choice, sale items are not stocked store blames vendors , vendors blame store ... cold room broken bottle many times last 8 months . beer choose went to hell in last 10 months or so . almost like someone is against beer sales . save your time go to total wine and more , Winco not so far from there .. savings 30- 40 % between the two stores .. no brainer ..
