I'm not sure what the store is. I've driven by it so many times but I don't know what it's about. Is it a grocery store because it doesn't say market or grocery anywhere in the title? I don't know what Aldi means. Does it have a meaning it's right next to a target so it can't be anything like a target store. I've driven by it for years and have no clue only because there's never been a reason for me to go to Aldi. If there was a reason, then I'd know what it is I think by the photographs and by peering in the window, it looks like it might be a grocery type store. I did peek in the window as I drove by. I looked inside. It said that you have to pay a quarter for a grocery cart but you'll get your quarterback when you turn in your cart. I wonder if they charge for bags I wonder if you can get your dime back if you return the bags when you're done I don't know. read more

This used to be my go-to for groceries but it's gone way downhill. This is the third time I've gone when they have no carts available and only one cashier working with a ridiculously long line. I just walk out. Definitely needs to be managed better. read more

Awesome little store with all the essentials and then some. Everything seems well stocked and organized. The brands are a little odd, but I guess that explains the low prices. I imagine they're made by the same manufacturers. People complain about the cashiers but I had a good experience. My guy was helpful getting my bounty into my California approved reusable bag. All my items arrived home alive and well. I avoided this place for months for no good reason. I probably should have been coming here instead of Walmart were I end up getting more random stuff that I don't need. Excellent prices and good quality items. I'll def be here again soon. read more

3/5 only because I didn't feel the store lived up to the hype I had expected after viewing many many Aldi Hauls on YouTube. Of course the shoppers were in other cities and states and this store has been only open for one week, so maybe later I will enjoy the store more. I am a regular at Von's and Sprouts and Trader Joe's for groceries. There are brands I am used to purchasing and using in my kitchen that Aldi doesn't offer. That is not to say that their brands are not good, I just haven't tried them and I am unsure. I'd rather not spend money on brands I do not know. On this day I walked away with a bag of purple grapes, a box of shredded wheat squares, and tea packets. read more

This was my first visit to an Aldi. The store was smaller than I expected, but there's a lot packed in there. The prices caused my jaw to drop more than once. Just 39-cents for medium avocados! 49-cents for celery! Then I saw the artisan cheese, and oh, I knew I'd found bliss. I visited the day before Thanksgiving and their cheese selection was the stuff of queso-laced dreams. I bought, um, more than I probably should have to haul in a cooler back to Arizona. I'm left even more eager for the chain to finally expand to the Phoenix area. read more

Grading a grocery store begins and ends with how they handle their produce, pre-made food and cooked food. In my first and only visit to this Aldi's, I found their produce section irresponsibly disorganized and neglected. There are rotten tomatoes (photo attached) above a label that says organic yellow potatoes. The organic food section (photo attached) has inorganic foods mixed with the organic.. it's ridiculous and lazy to have a produce section like this. I don't know Aldi's corporate culture, but I'm guessing other Aldi's stores are ran much better than this one. So I'll give Aldi's the benefit of the doubt in the future, but this store that I visited on 5/19/21 needs a tune up bad. Otherwise.. it's a new building and outside of the horror that is the produce, there's some interesting options. FYI, some of the stuff sold there labeled as organic is SO not organic. Make sure to read all the labels before putting into your cart. Won't be going to this Aldi's again, but will give the company another shot where my wife and I live. P.S. Aldi's, it's 2021. I pay with plastic, so I don't want to bring a quarter to unlock a shopping cart! I was born in 1984 and thought we'd have flying cars in 2021, not crotchety grocery stores. read more

Went into ALDI, Hanford for the first time a couple days ago. Pros and Cons: Pros: clean, stocked , spacious. Cons: the quarter for a shopping cart, the incredible lack of brand variety(I tried several "compare to" items and they DID NOT compare favorably), I bought 3 of the store plastic bags, but ..surprise!....the checker does NOT bag anything, so I spent 15 minutes bagging my items in the parking lot. Last, but not least, the checker barely acknowledged me, the only words she spoke were "thank you", never looked at me at all . Dismissed. The products were not that marvelous, prices just okay. I love this store. I know it doesn't have the best reputation in town, but they have great prices. I don't mind bagging my own groceries, at the cost of their efficiency. I don't mind paying a quarter for a cart, which I get back anyway. The carts have always been clean, and I appreciate that. It's a little different, it may not be the store for everyone. You may not get all your grocery shopping done here, but I get mostly what I need. read more

It makes me sad that there are a handful of very negative reviews of Aldi, but most of them are a dated around the time the Hanford store opened, while they were dealing with Pandemic and also organizing a new store. Aldi originated in Germany years ago, and spread in Western Europe, and as frugal long-time international travelers who often buy DYI food when we are abroad, we've really appreciated them. But you have to learn how to shop there. The majority of brands are Aldi store brands, although not labeled as Aldi. That's how they can offer quality products at bargain prices. Yes, there are times that I shop there when I can't get one or two items, and then I just put them on the list for the next time I shop at SaveMart or Smart and Final (or at Grocery Outlet, another great bargain place). The quarters in the carts? In the EU, you have to put an entire Euro in (usually worth around $1.30), and people do it without complaint, because it's not an expense, just a minor inconvenience that's pretty customary over there. Just keep one or two quarters in the console of your car, and you'll always be set. As for the check-out staff, I hope the original complaints have smoothed out over time, because of the four markets where I normally shop over the space of about a month, Aldi beats them all. They are courteous but FAST. I almost never have to wait in a line of more than 2 minutes, no matter now much stuff the person ahead of me has. And no, I don't mind bagging my own groceries, or just taking them out to the parking lot and stashing them in my trunk. For people who need to watch their $$, this is the first place you should go, and Grocery Outlet should probably be the second one. And just one last thing -- If you like wine, try the store brand Winking Owl. In a blind taste test with our daughter and son-in-law, both Bay Area wine snobs (sort of!) all four of us rated Winking Owl Chardonney the winner. read more

I hate grocery shopping and Aldi's makes it somewhat more pleasurable. It is not so overwhelming with people like at Walmart. Prices are good too! They have all the basics I need and I love walking up and down their deal/seasonal aisles. So far all the things I've bought in those aisles are legit, including blood pressure monitor, collapsible bucket, jewelry stands...ok I do end up getting things I don't necessarily need but they're good prices!! So far all workers I've encountered have been nice. My only downfall is they run out of fat free milk pretty quickly or what's left expires the next day. Also, their fruit items are not as sweet compared to Costco or Save Mart. Otherwise, I'm heading out there again tonight for some quick and easy shopping. read more

Such an amazing experience. Two of the workers, David and Chris truly made my week. I ran in at the last moment needing to stock up on wine for my wedding and they were so helpful and patient with me. They truly went above and beyond and I am so grateful! They could have turned me away but they didn't. They could have just let me in at closing and allow me to make my purchase. It takes genuinely wonderful employees and human beings to assist the way they did. Blown away by the new level of customer service these men exhibited. Would HIGHLY recommend. read more

Great prices and good quality when things are in stock. I love their deals and vegan selections! I love that they are adding more vegan options all the time. The staff are helpful and the lines move fast. I just wish people would stop parking in the ev parking when they aren't an ev car! We pay extra for the license that allows us to park in those special spots so please respect them. The store does nothing to enforce the parking policies and you have to stock up on an item if you like it because things get discontinued a lot. Overall, this store is awesome except the parking issues pretty much. read more

I was so happy when this store came to this location but its not Indy Aldi. I understand the store wants to be efficient and constant with the customer service they provide to consumers. Throwing your merchandise in the shopping KART is not way to provide customer service. I heard cashiers are timed how fast they can ring up merchandise and send customers out. I asked the cashier if they are timed he completely ignored me . I been to several Aldi stores back in Indy but I never felt so unwelcome at this location. read more

I do like this store. They carry a lot of good products, some that I really enjoy and go there specifically for so they get 2 stars for that. Can't deny they have some good stuff. However, like most things in Hanford, our Aldi sucks. Sorry. I've had to leave my entire cart (and my quarter LOL) 3x due to the most ridiculous long lines and 1 cashier working (sitting like Bran on GOT). Today was my worst experience by far and so bad I don't think I'll ever return. There was Bran over there with at least 5 people in his line with carts FULL to the brim. I immediately knew I was going to leave I just can't wait that long simply because I enjoy their pineapple guacamole. Then I noticed at the end cashier #1 light was on, I marched over there and waited. I saw a young woman who worked there come out from the back, I thought "cool, she's coming to ring up my guac", NO. She looked at me and turned the opposite way. I shouted to Bran "hey, is this register open? The lights on?" He didn't answer but looked directly at me. I asked again "does anyone work here? Can you hear me???" Again, no response. I just said "I guess no one works here" and left my items on the conveyor belt thing. Yeah, Bran that was me. I hope you had to get off your stupid seat and put them back personally. You're welcome for the .75 cents. Another example of poor customer service in Hanford. read more

Unfortunately this store lets you stand in line patiently for what seems like forever then decides to take someone with a cart who walks up suddenly after you've been holding your groceries standing in line waiting. NO WAY. I won't be back. That's the worst thing you can do. This store isn't worth dealing with that situation. The manager was the one who did it I believe and let me quote what he said "I tried". read more

My first time going to ALDI. They have great produce selection and it's all very fresh. The sales prices are fantastic. I live In Kingsburg so it's quite a drive. read more

Great alternative grocery store!! Kind of refreshing to see some things that are are a little different than every other store around. I've heard some complain about their cart system...but I'm a fan! No more silly carts hanging around the parking lot. read more
