I went here for the first time. I order a plain slice and a chicken roll. The marinara sauce on my plain slice had a funny taste and the dough was too hard. Savarona is great Long Island pizza, let me start off with that! When I came in I saw that it was pretty busy in the store. The cashier, a young very polite girl took the orders. The pickings were many so I had time to decided as they took down the line. I'm bad at picking so I tried the Spinach Stromboli and the Chicken, bacon Ranch, slice. Man I didn't know what I was in for. The Stromboli danced in my mouth! The chicken slice talked sweet nothings into my ear. The Stromboli was full of cheese and spinach, it was crunchy outside with Parmesan and light oil on its shell. It added to the already strong flavor of the spinach. The chicken, bacon, ranch slice went another path. The well cooked chicken was fried and mixed with chopped bacon. There was no marinara sauces, it was completely ranch based. The tomato on the bottom actually helped the tangy ranch flavor stand out. I have no choice now but to try more menu items later. Now that I done grabbing your stomachs attention, it's time to speak to your eyes. When I walked in I saw the table were not wiped down at all. I mean there were crumbs everywhere. The table I sat at I moved because there was a cup with a straw still in it. They had water damaged ceiling tiles move out of place that exposed the dirty roof. The floor tiles have seen better days too! At least 80% of them were cracked. The deliver guy dropped his pizza holder at a empty table then went to the bathroom. For some people that might be offensive. Lastly when there's downtime the staff sat at a table and talked, loud. I don't think customers want to here there conversation at all. My girlfriend was asked to leave because she did not have a mask on. She is fully vaccinated and nys and cdc has lifted the rule. I called and asked to speak to the owner. He or she was not there. I politely explained to the employee that her me and my friends and family will not patronize this establishment until they lift this insane rule. This is now on the owner. To my embarrassment I only had $3.00 left in my pocket because I lost my debit card so haven't been able to take money out. She asks the other guy if that's ok? Usually they are pretty good , sometimes a bit of a flop. But we always kept going because nothing too serious was ever wrong. Well this time we ordered a stuffed meat pie with olives and when the pie got home there was VERY little meat and no olives. So we called and spoke with the owner who said his chef admitted to forgetting the olives and that he would replace the pie and just come in in 20 min to get it. so with the remaining 4.5 slices excluding the half chewed remainders, we went to pick up the pie. out comes the fresh stuffed pie and the guy takes the pie and cuts it in half and said hes only replacing the uneaten portion. WHAT AN A**WIPE! honestly how are you going to tell a loyal patron that you will replace the pizza you royally screwed up and then when they come in for the promised replacement give them half. to top it off the half they took back from us, he set on the back table and we had to ask... This pizzeria just won my loyalty. I've had pizza from them a couple of times with friends but I just called and placed an order myself for the first time and the customer service was INCREDIBLE. I work in food service so I have very high standards for "good service." The girl on the phone was so nice and didn't sound bothered by the call (which so many places and people do?!). She was very patient; I asked what they have as far as desserts go and she listed what they have, again, without sounding impatient. I used my card to pay over the phone and anytime she didn't hear me clearly she politely asked me to repeat or confirm what I said, clearly wanting to ensure the order and my card o info were correct. And finally, I asked to make sure I can tip on the card and she fully explained how to put a tip on the card. Again, the patience, kindness, and friendliness was astounding. I can't say enough about how good of an experience it was. I'm so pleased to have spoken to such a good representative for the pizzeria! I didn't get the girl's name so I hope they recognize who this is because she deserves all the praise!! read more

I love NY pizza and this is our new favorite place when we are in Suffolk county. We use to go to Carlo's Pizza but they have gone downhill over the years so Savarona is now our favorite go-to-place. Whenever I eat at a new pizza place, I always order the plain cheese so I can really taste the sauce and cheese. Savarona's does a good job with making sure their pizza's have a good amount of both sauce and cheese. The combo of those 2 ingredients are what make a pizza perfection.. so simple, but yet so dificult to master. I also like that their dough is chewy and just a tad sweet. One thing I did notice is that their pizza is slightly saltier than other NY pizza, so don't add salt unless you really like your pizza's salty. read more

I have ordered 3 times. I think the pizza is excellent. But, only the 1st time was a pleasant experience! The 2nd time pizza guy showed up gave us pizza got tipped a $5 and quickly left. We quickly discovered that the pizza top was pressed against the pizza. We called they were helpful and said they will send another one. They did 30 min later it showed up. We should have recieved a discount or some knots for the trouble. .but No! The 3rd time the same driver kid shows up with $20's and $50's for change. What did he expect a $15 tip? Sorry, but just no. I know it seems good to have in the Kohl's outlet while doing shopping, but there are plenty of better eateries around. I remember going once or twice as a kid and be very underwhelmed, but figured I'd try again. (Just a heads up, the following story happened a few years ago, but I couldn't find the name of this place so yeah, outdated story that's gonna cause eye rolls, but anyway.) I was doing some birthday shopping for a friend at Michael's and was starving by the time I was done, so I decided to retry this place. The service seemed pleasant enough and let me and my friend who was with me sit in the back. While that may sound nice, they were reluctant to let us do so, but it was a cold, blustery day in March, and the door was wide open, with insects flying in. This room in the back was dinky, cold and honesty a little gross. Our pizza? UGH. May I bring up again we were very hungry, but it was near inedible. It was painfully overcooked, you couldn't even taste the cheese and marinara. My garlic knot was also scorched. I mean, I hate how a majority of LI's Italian food is undercooked and doughy, but that doesn't mean I want it cooked to practicality nothing! To top this lovely meal off, (and here's where the eye rolls start,) 2 employees plopped themselves down and the one had a cone on his head for who-the-hell-knows what reason, and the charmer that was near him said, "nice China hat! You should be a ninja fer Halloween!" Um, wait to mix up your cultures on top of your racist comments! To which he responded, "no, I'm being a m**get fer Halloween because I have a high voice and I'm short." SERIOUSLY? That's like putting yourself in a wheelchair and saying you're going as a cr*pple. I have always like this place in the past, but when i ordered food from here last night it was a totally different experience. I called and i must have had an older menu, because they don't make the combo platter i like (veal and stuffed shells parmigiana dinner) anymore. When i asked if they could just make it , they said no and that i would have to order the veal and stuffed shells separate. I was a little taken back Then at the end of my order i asked for the total, i ordered 2 veal parmigiana heroes, 1 sausage parm hero, and stuffed shells dinner. I asked for the total and the girl over the phone said "I cant give you the total cause another girl is using the register". I told her nicely that I needed to know how much money to bring with me and she finally gave me the total. Thirdly when i brought the order home I found that there was almost no sausage in the sausage parm hero. the veal was ok and they only gave 3 stuffed shells in the dinner. But the sausage parm was ridiculous. In conclusion I have decided to never go back there and I'll have to find another place for Italian night. read more

This pizza place is the best. In the Mastic Beach/Mastic/Shirley area there are a lot of mediocre pizza places but this one is legit. Every time we're in that shopping center I always get myself a slice from the best. Its OK, I have eaten here several times out of convenience while at Stop N Shop or Kohls, but I don't really consider it a destination Pizza place. They do have variety iof different Pizzas including a pretty decent deep dish, but I prefer going to either Mama Lisa(West on mtk) or a tad east to Domenic's Mr.Pizza (Pathmark). Since shopping in this shopping center it seemed a conveinent place to stop and have lunch with my family. We order several different speciality slices and sat down to eat our meal. The first problem was nothing was hot and everything was greasy. Two bites into out meal A ROACH went running across my table right on top of the napkin holder! When I approched the people behind the counter they just shrugged their shoulders and said "i cant belive that the exterminators were just here last night" and he walked away. Worst customer service. Owner/manager is nasty and does not know how to speak to customers. They completely messed up an order and double charged my card. I was told there was no way for them to reverse the charge and that the next time I ordered there would be a note in their system to make it right. When I called the next time to order again and explained what happened I was told that the girl who did this was fired and there is nothing they can do. Not how you should treat customers. Giving 5 stars since this has been the best pizza near me (I'm in Moriches) in the six years I've lived here. I've been to all the joints and this one is by far the best and most consistent (We go to Anton's too). The last few pies we've ordered for take out have been a bit on the thin side (their pizza is not the thickest usually, but this has been thinner than usual). My husband went there yesterday to get some pasta carbonara, they charged us $30 for 2 pasta carbonara and when we got home we realized the pasta was plain. I have always held fast to the belief that the further away from the geographic center of Brooklyn you get, the crappier the pizza is, and I have no idea how the clean majority of other pizza places in the area stay in business, but this place makes great pizza. My family and I have stopped in a few times for pizza while shopping. The food is ok/ good but certainly not amazing however while stopping in today with my mother for a slice I noticed the man behind the counter pick up the tip basket and look in it and say something like " ugh really" ( it was empty). I was a little shocked that he did this right in front of a customer. While eating my mother and I saw him do this to the 2 customers after us as though he was trying to create attention for someone to give a tip!!!! He heated the pizza and that's about it so I am not sure why he wanted a tip. We will not be eating here again with employees acting like this. read more

They will also put on toppings from the regular pizza area = Cross contamination. It's been a while since I've been here but tonight was an awful experience. My husband and I decided to split an eggplant parm hero and it was terrible! First, there was about a 1/4 of the amount of eggplant I was expecting (even more sad since their prices went up), no sauce on the eggplant at all, it was overcooked and had a TON of cheese on it.
