Good times at Angel Stadium on March 28, 2026!…read more First time attending a Banana Ball League game with the Savannah Bananas playing the Indianapolis Clowns (deep history, look them up!) The Clowns did a lot of juggling. Was welcomed at the stadium gates by staff wearing banana costumes. Immediately went to the merch line although lengthy, they kept it moving well. Friendly staff! A small sized jersey not designated for male or female was $80 Very entertaining from the singing dancing, ball playing, baby races, music, and there a Mr. K that looked like Mr. T from the 80s. K for potassium. There was Princess Potassia. Owner Jesse Cole did some emceeing in his yellow tux. Derek Klena, the Broadway star from Wicked, Anastasia, and others is the new member of the Bananas. His singing was amazing! The two singers with the Indianapolis Clowns were fantastic! The Bananas are known to be like the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball. They sometimes do back flips right before a catch. There were appearances by Darth Vader accompanied by storm troopers. Jered Weaver, retired pitcher from the Anaheim Angels made an appearance and threw a pitch. In the middle of the game, we took a break and got hotdogs at the concession stand downstairs. From high up on the upper level, the view was not too bad with direct view of the big screen and I also had my binoculars. The hubby did not share my binoculars and said the view was fine. Fans First has a lottery system and we had been on a waitlist in 2025 and got our tickets in November. The Stadium was packed with 45,000 fans, most wearing yellow including the hubby and i. Before the game ended, there was an announcement for an after party at a designated part of the stadium which we skipped. Definitely fun and family friendly.. Will give it 4.5 stars and round to 4.

Strong opinion alert - do not play Zombie Apocalypse. Of the 100+ escape games my wife and I…read moreplayed all over the country, we both agreed this was, without a doubt, the worst. It was truly frustrating how much this game felt like a cash-grab to more-or-less trick people into giving them $30 per person. To paint a picture... - Zombie apocalypse takes place in a single room (which used to be Escape Savannah's lobby). The room is sparsely outfitted with plastic folding tables and chairs, several lockboxes all with number digit locks, and cheap looking set pieces and theming straight from the Halloween store's clearance bin. - The setting is supposed to be a "research lab" but there are various items thrown around that do not fit with this theme and just feel like random trash - tarps, a tire, etc. Even the boards on the window aren't real boards.. they are painted pieces of paper. - There are no cameras or microphones in the room as is normally standard in escape games. Instead, to get a clue, you must knock on the gamemaster's door and tell them what you have solved and what you need help with before they can provide you a clue. - Because Zombie Apocalypse use to be Escape Savannah's lobby, you are directly adjacent to the gamemaster's room separated only by a sliding door that does not completely close. Throughout our game, we were distracted by the loud conversation the gamemasters were having in the room next door. When we knocked on the door for a hint, no one came out. - At one point during the game a gamemaster presumably arriving for her shift with coffee in hand walked from outside the building, through our room, and into the gamemaster room- she said "don't mind me'. At another point, an arriving group of players for another game was knocking on the door to enter the building (through our escape room) for their escape room. - We were told in the intro to the room that there would be a live actor that enters the room at some point. The gamemaster said this "zombie" will not touch you and requested us not to touch this "zombie". At no point during our hour did any actor/zombie enter the room. When we asked the gamemaster at the end of the game about it, she said she tells people that there will be a live actor whether or not there will be or not "to keep people on edge". She said if we wanted to see the live actor, to come back on a weekend (note: we played on a SATURDAY afternoon). - The puzzles were all paper based. The puzzles themselves weren't terrible, but many of them (for example, index cards with basic arithmetic on them) felt more like homework than fun, clever puzzles normally seen in escape rooms. - There were no fun moments/surprises/reveals in this escape room. The entire (one room) space was available to us from the beginning of the game, no technology was used, and there were no fun interactions - just entering numbers into combination locks to open lockboxes. The ending was very anticlimactic- it ends once you open the last lockbox. To be honest, we weren't even sure if the room was over. - Halfway into our hour, our gamemaster came in and started cleaning-up/resetting the puzzles we have already completed while we were still playing. We have never experienced this in an escape room... at that point, we just turned to each other and laughed. - At the time of playing (early January 2020), this room was listed as a capacity of 8-16 people. We played this room as a group of two and finished the room with one hint used- not because we are great escape room players, but because there wasn't a ton going on in this room. In my opinion, six people should be the absolute maximum for Zombie Apocalypse due to the limited number of puzzles and small space. As I type this, I can't stop shaking my head. I really don't like disparaging small businesses, but Zombie Apocalypse just felt...unethical. We hope those new to escape games do not judge the escape game industry as a whole on Zombie Apocalypse.

Good place for a wooded walk with lots of side paths, quiet, and off-leash dogs…read more We came here late on Sunday morning in late October. The weather was perfect: cool, sunny, and light humidity. I wore a sweatshirt which ended up being hot by the end but a good protection against mosquitoes. The trail information signs do not have maps. The only small offshoot we saw that was labeled officially was loop 2 near the entrance. The other offshoots only have the wooden markers, no numbers or anything else. We went down loop 2 from the second entrance. It's a narrow trail but good timing for us because we came across people with 2 dogs and a 3rd off lease who "just barks" at people. All the trails had trees of varying sizes in the way. There was once a pile of trees to climb over but it was surprisingly sturdy. Another time there was one that I had to shimmy over. It was about hip height to me. There are a bunch of geocaches here but most look like they are off trail. We found a backup one hanging from a tree just after climbing over the wood pile at the far end, but no pen. Next time: I'll bring a lighter long-sleeved shirt and try more offshoots.

I made a mental note and researched it when I got home. Surprisingly, I could not find much information on this trail since it looked like a well marked path with a proper sign. I saw a few pictures on the internet and an article in the news about the construction of the project. It was not even in my trusty AllTrails App! Both frustrated and intrigued, I naturally decided to investigate for myself for today's edition of Adventure Friday! Despite the crappy, rainy weather this morning, I packed up my little one in the car with plenty of snacks (don't forget to pack a lot of snacks if you are hiking with a toddler, no joke) and convinced a friend to join me with her little baby. Parking - There is a small lot by the trail head that could probably fit a handful of cars. The lot is not paved. There is a big lot across the street, but I'm not sure if that was intended for the spill over, so I'm not telling you to go over there, but maybe if you get a coffee at Black Rifle, maybe they'll let you park the car there for awhile? You probably only need it though if you organize a group to go though. We were the only ones there today at the time. Trail Description - This trail system can be found just across the street from Nine Apparel and Black Rifle Coffee Co. It's actually across the street from their parking lot. According to the information board on site, the Blue Sky Preserve is 641 acres and the trail consists of two trail legs and four trail loops all marked with colored markers which are as follows: Trail Leg 1 (blue) - 0.41 miles Trail Leg 2 (green) - 0.9 miles Trail Loop 1 (yellow) - 0.42 miles Trail Loop 2 (orange) - 0.29 miles Trail Loop 3 (pink) - 0.16 miles Trail Loop 4 (white) - 0.32 miles Previously owned by various timber companies who used it primarily for agriculture and light timber production, The Blue Sky Preserve was purchased by Chatham County for greenspace and provides a habitat for rare and endangered species. The property consists of Tidal Rivers, Freshwater Tidal Marsh, Blackwater Rivers and Swamp, Bottomland Hardwood Forest and Forested Depressional Wetlands and lots of natural pine can be found there. Difficulty Level - Easy (IMHO). Flat all the way through. Mommas & Poppas, it is no paved, so NOT stroller friendly, in my opinion. I would think it would be too wild of a ride for the babies, even if you had a stroller like a BOB. Save yourselves the trouble of unpacking a stroller and use a baby carrier instead. What we did - We completed all but Loop 1. It took us about an hour with toddler starting and stopping, breaking for snacks along the way. Beware - We saw a snake slithering away in a big hole on the side on Leg 1 (blue trail). Still getting used to snakes around here. It is not the mountains, but grateful that we have trails like BSP to walk around and get some fresh air! Go on, take a hike!

When you have a super energetic toddler, and every weekend you have to think really hard how to…read moreburn down his/ her energy, it is troublesome.I've tried to bring my toddler to the playgrounds in local parks, but she got bored after going too many times. Then I started to think maybe she should learn how to exercise properly instead of playing regular swings or slides. This summer we had a chance to visit relatives in California. I did some search and brought my daughter to a kid's gym class where the equipments are designed for young toddlers. Apparently, my daughter loved it. After returned back Savannah, I started to search a similar place, and fortunately, I found Peds Play literally the next block from Monkey Joes Savannah. The small gym is belonged to Peds Health by Dr. Ericka Russell- Petty. I first asked Dr. Ericka whether I could take a look before taking kids in. She kindly agreed and showed me around. When I saw the equipments, I talked to myself "OMG, they look tough, I don't think my toddler is ready for them". Dr. Ericka told me kids always find what they can do and enjoy being in the gym. I went home and considered for 2 days, then a Saturday morning I decided to bring my kids to Peds Play. My toddler in the beginning was very careful looking for what she wants to play. 20 mins later, she started to move things around (thank God, because it was still early, and we were the only party in the gym, so I didn't have to worry disturbing other kids). Then almost an hour passed, my daughter played crazy in the gym and climbing the net like a monkey. In the end, I had to beg her to leave. I think Dr. Ericka was correct, you've never known what the limited is for a kid. When my daughter walked out the door and headed to the car, she told me "mummy, I am so tired, but I like it". As soon as we got home, she crushed on the couch immediately. Dr. Ericka currently arranges with different classes for Saturday afternoon. Also plans for summer camp. Although my kids are still too young for either one, I believe after they turn to 5 years old, they will be excited to join the programs. But at least for now, my toddler can have fun and burn down her energy in this kid's gym in the weekend. Additional information: Have to be 2-25 years old to participate, and must wear socks or sneakers. Age 2-12 years and under 60 inches tall is $10 for first hour then $5 for additional hour Age 13-25 years or above 60 inches tall is $12 for first hour then $6 for additional hour Come back the next day for $7 for first hour then $3 If you are interested in being members, pay $30 for 30 days Monday-Saturday 9am- 6pm, Sunday Closed You may see Peds Play door is locked during the business hours. My daughter and our family were treated with a total lack of respect and professionalism simply because she was [recreational/not on a travel team]. The owner made it clear through their actions and attitude that if you aren't paying for the most expensive competition packages, you aren't a priority. We felt unwelcome and dismissed at every turn. It is disheartening to see a youth sports program prioritize status over a child's love for the sport. If you are looking for a gym that values every athlete regardless of their team level, this is not it!

We saw many different birds and tons of squirrels but most animals were hiding somewhere! We are seniors so it was $5 each and she is 2yrs old so she was free! We got a nice workout for only $10, well worth it and highly recommend if you are in the Savannah or Tybee Island areas

The experience is self-guided, which we really enjoyed. You're given a map and can explore at your own pace. There are also restrooms and vending machines near the entrance, which was convenient. We spent about 2 1/2 hours exploring, and it was a lovely way to spend the day. Definitely worth visiting if you're looking for a relaxing outdoor experience with children!
