SO and I were doing laundry at Spin City and, while we were waiting, we realized that the stadium where the Savannah Bananas play is right across the street. We had to go to the gift shop and get a memento. There were no games scheduled, but we saw some players parking their cars and going to practice.

    Go Bananas!!!

I need to gush about how much I love the Savannah Bananas. I've followed them on social media for several years, and have appreciated the content they post as entertaining and fun. However, I hadn't realized just how massive the Savannah Banana movement is until I attended my first game recently. What an amazing experience! From the moment I parked my car outside the T-Mobile stadium two hours before the gates opened, Bananamania was taking the city of Seattle by storm. Folks were flooding the streets all decked out in yellow; banana costumes, Savannah Banana jerseys, tutus and so many more creative outfits. A stage was erected in a park just outside the stadium, with music and entertainment, as well as scheduled periods of time for both teams to meet and greet fans. When the gates opened, the teams formed a processional from the park to the stadium. It was time for Banana Ball and the fans were screaming, high-fiving, dancing in the street and having the time of their lives! Traditional baseball has become such a bore, so I'm really excited to have a newfound interest in the sport. From the moment the game began, the league's "fans first" philosophy was made abundantly clear. Popular music played throughout the entire game, and every 5 to ten minutes there was some kind of performance that kept all 48,000 spectators enraptured by the lively antics. Through comedy sketches, choreographed dance routines, and tons of audience involvement, I never felt the need to check my watch - I was reveling in the showmanship and expertly-crafted entertainment. The Firefighters and the Savannah Banana's played that night, and even though the Bananas won, it really didn't matter. Everyone in attendance was there for the pure joy and excitement of Banana Ball, and to create lasting memories with friends and family.

People flooding in for the pregame

This was in Montgomery Alabama at the Riverwalk Stadium. We really did not have a great experience from the beginning! I was chosen in the lottery to purchase tickets which I originally thought was going to be for the Savannah Bananas but it was for the firefighters vs clowns, so I purchased four tickets anyway . It did not give me any options other than just to purchase the tickets (no seat options or anything) which you cannot view until the day of the game. We live over an hour away so on the ride there, I found that our tickets were Berm tickets, not knowing what that meant I looked it up, and it meant our seats were on the grass, way on the other side of the outfield, we had my aunt and uncle who are both in their mid 70s with bad backs and knees. We get there for the pregame get in line at 2:30 in the blazing sun. The "gates" don't open until 3:30 ,everybody swarms in like sardines, the pre-game does not actually start until 4:30 so everybody's pretty much standing around and shopping their mercandise stands. The "gates" to get in the stadium opened a little after 5:30 so we stood in line in the hot sun for three hours. The pregame was not enjoyable and should be done on the field not on a parking lot. The Riverwalk stadium in Montgomery is nowhere near big enough for 7000 people in the concession area. It was a very hot, loud and an aggravating experience. When someone buys tickets they need to be well aware that BERM means the grassy area. A man told us in line they had a few picnic tables, so once we rushed in, we rushed straight to the area that would open at 5:30 and stood there until the gate opened ,so that we were able to get somewhere to sit. Luckily, we were able to get one with the sun blazing in our faces. Online tells you you can only bring certain chairs that are so many inches off the ground when we get there most everyone has a full-size bag chair. One hamburger was $13.50 which did not include anything at all with it, if you wanted grilled onions, jalapeños, etc., that was $1 each extra. Which takes about 45 minutes to an hour in line as well. If we had normal tickets and could get there right before the game started and not have to wait in line so many hours then it might be worth another chance but based off this experience no. They definitely need to let their fans know what seating they purchased or was available for purchase. There were a lot of people furious about the same thing being put on the grass when they arrived. Those seats require a blanket or a chair or standing the whole time unless you're lucky enough to get a metal picnic table. From where we set, you really could not see the game very well you've pretty much had to watch the TV monitors and didn't really know what was going on. I could've done that at home.

Yes, the pitcher is on stilts.

Banana ball! Banana ball! Banana ball! I hit the jackpot! I won the ticket lottery and landed seats to see the Savannah Bananas take on the Party Animals at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium. It's almost unbelievable--a minor league team packing a 75,000-seat football stadium not once, but twice in a row with sold-out crowds! And the best part? Their commitment to affordable, fan-first pricing meant I paid just $40 for my ticket, while resellers were charging hundreds. From start to finish, this was an electrifying spectacle--long before the first pitch and even after the dramatic, walk-off home run. Sitting in row 7 of tier 5 beyond third base, I was completely engaged in the action. Their Fans First ticketing system was a breeze--seamless, stress-free, and exactly as promised! Clear communication, timely QR codes, and effortless entry made the experience all the more enjoyable. Before the gates even opened, the Bananas were putting on a show--autographs, a mini-concert, and a merch bonanza that made it impossible not to grab something. I walked away with a BB hat and fridge magnet to add to my growing collection. The game itself? An absolute blast! High-energy entertainment packed with fan interactions, mini-shows, and surprises at every turn--a wedding proposal, a pie to the face, and players climbing into the highest tiers to sign autographs. The massive stadium screens kept the excitement going with replays, hilarious mini-games, and close-ups of players dancing, swinging bats, and just being their outrageous selves. Singalongs like Coldplay's "Yellow" with the entire stadium lit up by cellphone lights created unforgettable moments. Local sports legends, including Carolina Panthers players, jumped in for the fun--one even carried a football while scoring a run! And the magic didn't stop after the final out--more autographs, more fan interactions, more memories that will last a lifetime. This wasn't just a baseball game--it was a SHOW. If you ever get the chance to experience a Savannah Bananas game when they're on tour, grab it! Trust me--you don't want to miss out. [Review 431 of 2025 - 816 in Georgia - 23993 overall]

    Excellent seating

This is absolutely hands down the most boring game I've ever been to. Talk about false advertisement! It was not entertaining. It was not the baseball version of the Harlem Globetrotters. It was subpar baseball players pausing every five minutes to call a toddler down to the field to do something cute. No offense to the kids. Kids are cute, but I didn't pay that much money to watch a children's talent show. This was miserable! I hated it! There are just not enough words to describe the intense hatred I feel about this. Absolute waste of money! Absolutely over hyped! Save your money and go to a minor league game! They're WAY BETTER! Boring!!

My wife heard about the Savannah Bananas after the founder was at a professional business event in Las Vegas a few months back. When she found out they were in town to play a game against the firefighters, she bought tickets and we headed to the park for what turned out to be a fantastic evening of entertainment. The experience was incredibly fun, filled with music, dance routines, and comedy. The players were surprisingly skilled and athletic, adding to the enjoyment of the game. We had prime seats right behind home plate with plenty of shade, which was a lifesaver in the Vegas heat. On the downside, the concessions were grossly overpriced and the quality was average at best. Paying $12-$14 for two bottles of water felt like insanity. Despite this, we had a great time. It was like a date night for me and the Mrs., and we both agreed that it's definitely a great event to bring the kiddos and grandkiddos to for some quality family entertainment.

Banana Beer--No bananas inside. Maybe a little like Blue Moon.

Wow! The Bananas call themselves the "Harlem Globetrotters of baseball," traveling the country and delivering a ballgame and a show, and their fame is only skyrocketing. Jesse Cole has managed to achieve the Herculean task of getting non-baseball fans to a game. The game itself is Banana Ball which is not rigged but instead an abbreviated version of baseball. The rules make for a quicker game and there is a time limit on top of that. In between innings, before the game starts, and even after the game ends, there is non-stop entertainment too. Can you imagine a three-year-old making a home run out on the field against the Bananas? How about a granny relay race around the bases. Maybe a soccer mom kid pickup and run around the bases? What about the golden banana first pitch that needed to be found blindfolded with hints from the audience at the start of the game? Plus, I'm sure it would be different at a game you attend in the future. The entertainment is constantly being evolved and sometimes even being tested right in front of you. There are so many things going on at a game it is hard to describe to someone that has never experienced it. Oh, and then there are the concessions. When you come to Bananaland, your experience is All-Inclusive. Their concessions in Savannah are All-You-Can-Eat hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, water, soda, popcorn and cookies. Yes, you can buy other things to eat and merch, but you don't need to. Want two, or three, or more of those free hot dogs? No problems! All in the Historic Grayson Stadium which is the first ever Ad-Free ballpark! Tickets? Well, good luck finding them at face value. Everything gets sold out. Stubhub and other places are options but obviously at much higher prices. Most seating is general admission and it you get there early for a game you will get a good seat so there is nothing to worry about on that front.

A rip-roarin time for kids and adults, baseball fans and baseball-ambivalent folks alike!! Pros: - Thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. Seriously, I was skeptical about getting there early, but they kept me entertained from the moment we stepped in the park. - Hilarious and fast-paced carousel of fun. - Tons of audience engagement (think acrobatics, songs, stunts, and free donuts!). Cons: Pretty much none that I can think of, and I'm not even a baseball person. We'll definitely catch them again next time they come to our neck of the woods (Phoenix).

You can take pictures with the team before the game

The Savannah Bananas are a MUST see! They are the Harlem Globe Trotters of Baseball. They sing, they dance, the fans are involved in the action...it's incredible! I highly recommend getting the VIB experience (Very Important Banana). You get in early, get to meet and take pictures with the players. You can hang out on the field and find your seats first! (Seating is first come first serve!)
