I originally booked a Creepy Crawl pub tour with this company in April 2022 for a private group of about 20. The tour guide was great! He was focused on the history of the town and sprinkled in the macabre. When I brought family to visit Savannah in mid June 2023, I booked the same tour hoping for a similar experience. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed this time around. We had a different guide that spent a good chunk of time telling her life story. From NYC, "fashion designer", moved to the Caribbean, somehow ended up in Savannah. She could not emphasize enough how much she enjoys partying. She took us to an inn and told us the story of the inn keeper killing a man, boarding him up in the wall, and now a ghost haunts the garden. It took her almost 30 mins to tell this story, putting us almost halfway through our tour. We then stopped us at McDonough's. She said she called the back room "the portal to hell", but didn't give us any explanation as to why. As we waited for the group to get drinks she showed us pictures of "apparitions" her other tours have seen. Our next stop was Central Cemetery, where she wasted another 30 mins telling us to take pictures with our flash on and then convincing us that the lense flares were ectoplasm. My brother said he saw someone in the cemetery and she said they must be a ghost, but no they were live people walking through past close. She took us to an old theater turned bar and that's where my group departed from the tour. Overall, she was longwinded and spent more time telling stories about her experiences, real or not, than the history of Savannah & it's ghosts. We didn't stop at the Cannonball house, the 17hundred90, or Abe's on Lincoln like I had the previous tour. read more

Haunted Pub Crawl was a blast! It was an all around awesome time. Greg, our tour guide was hilarious, crass and very knowledgeable, with plenty of great stories. Being from Boston (don't worry, he's been in Savannah for a while and has def got the street cred) it was hilarious to hear him say "ya'll" every other sentence in what's left of his northern accent. Also, we walked by another ghost tour while we were passing the cemetery and their tour guide was dressed in a top hat and talking like kermit the frog or something. This is the point where we instantly knew we made the right choice. I'm not really in to muppets. Last thing. Seriously girls, if you are planning a bachelorette party, please don't go on this tour. I think about every one of us were ready to toss them by the last bar. Go be obnoxious and talk about condoms somewhere else, please and thanks. read more

I spontaneously booked the ghost walk pub tour when my husband & I arrived in Savannah. It was on a flyer at our hotel & I'm so glad I saw it because we had the best time! We met at the Six Pence Pub about a 1/2 hour before the tour & were handed our cups. The bartenders were super friendly & soon Dawn, our tour guide for the evening was coming around and introducing herself. Dawn was phenomenal! She was witty & fun. Her stories were entertaining & easy to listen to. The tour took us to about 4 different pubs & we made a few stops in between to listen to some ghost stories. Our group was lively & all the pubs were very nice to us. The Pirate House was one of my favorite stops! I would definitely take this tour again. It was one of our favorite things we did on our honeymoon road trip! read more

My sister-in-law had done the Creepy Crawl pub tour with Greg (who began the business) when she'd visited Savannah years ago, so she called him when it was time for the rest of the family to visit. When making the reservation, she mentioned that I use a manual wheelchair; on the tour she took, there were some attics and basements, so she wanted to see if modifications could be made. Greg was kind enough to give our four person group a personalized tour, that ended with his insisting on walking us almost back to our hotel door. He's a funny guy and an entertaining, skilled storyteller. Do I now believe in ghosts? Well, no - but I do recommend the tour. read more

Not creepy, but guided crawl with some funny very long winded stories from a nice guy (Greg). Not what I expected, as we didn't go into any creepy locations, but instead went into & stood outside bars that have some ghost related stories. Was boring at times, but if you have 3 hours to kill, it's fun enough, dependent on the crowd. read more

We had a lovely time on the Creepy Stroll (which is not the pub crawl). The tour group was small and intimate, perfect for telling ghost stories. Our guide, Greg (who is the owner), was engaging and thoughtful. We had two kids with us, 9 and 13, and unlike the last ghost tour we took in Savannah, this one was much more age appropriate. The kids were already tired when we met at the cemetery since we had logged 16,000 steps that day, but Greg's captivating story telling quickly hooked their attention. By the end of the tour they were completely engrossed in the stories. Greg's ghost stories are all set in a historical context and we got to walk through some squares off the beaten path. I was hoping with a walking tour we would have a more personal experience than with a big group on a bus, and I was not disappointed. We all had a great time and I am looking forward to another visit. read more

Bernard was very informative. Although we just had 4 people on the tour and it was 19 degrees with the wind chill we had a great time. Honestly I think it was a split 50/50 between the tour guide Bernard telling jokes and being serious with creepy stories. It was a great mix. Ok...well, I ended up deciding to give this tour company a 4. Here's why: I took the Creepy Crawl Pub Tour the first time in March 2011. It was a blast. I'd rate it a 6 on a scale of 1 - 5! Our tour guide, Andre, was the reason. You can get a million ghost tours in Savannah (I've done about 999,998 of them!), but the difference was Andre. His story-telling ability was top-notch and he refrained from the usual tricks of trying to pretend he's a spirit, pointing out things just for shock value, etc... A true professional and had our group hanging on every word. We had a small group - about 6 people, as that was the Sunday after St. Patrick's day and most people had left town. So, it was the perfect pub crawl ghost tour...just wish I'd taken it a little easier on the booze...I'm having trouble with remembering the last half hour or so! But, it remains in my memory as the best ghost tour I've ever had and don't truly expect it to ever be topped. A short summary: you meet at the Six Pence Pub (which has excellent food - better than I expected, and a decent beer list). Then, you walk around to various locations hearing ghost stories and stopping by other bars to refill your cup! Do note that the price of the beer/drinks at all of the bars is not included in the tour price (and it shouldn't be, because not everybody want to drink...I have no idea why, but that's just the way it is)! ;-) Each tour guide can set their own directions, stories, places to stop, etc... So, could be a completely different tour each time you go. Then, in June of last year, I returned. I e-mailed the tour company to see if Andre would be available for a repeat tour, but he was not working the only night that I could go. Sad. So, I skipped it. April of this year rolled around and I found myself in Savannah again, looking to repeat my experience from last year. However, I didn't call ahead to see if Andre would be available, we just went on the only evening we could fit it in. First off, this group was larger, about 20 people. And, no, the guide wasn't Andre, and I can't remember her name. However, I wasn't too impressed. She had a difficult time keeping the group organized (granted, there was a group of about 5 girls that were constantly being late when we were supposed to be leaving each bar, asking really inane questions (they types that don't really even pertain to the tour), and just generally being rowdy). So, not the tour guide's fault completely, but she should reign in that type of behavior as it's disruptive to the rest of the tour group. Apart from that, her story telling wasn't compelling. She just didn't convince me that she believed anything she was saying. I think part of the fun is suspending disbelief and being so enamored with the stories that you believe them without question (kind of like a Stephen King book...his stories are WAY out there, but the writing is so good, you don't doubt it)! The tour was scheduled for two hours. Just over the two hour mark (at about 2 hours, 10 minutes) and only being at the 3rd bar, we decided to just duck out of the tour. It was going downhill fast (matter of fact, it had already crashed and burned and I just think the guide wanted us to booze it up at that point...we had been spending 10 minutes or so in each bar - enough time for people to use the restroom and get a refill, but we had been in that last one for around 20 minutes when we decided to leave). I'd rate this tour guide a 1. But, because of the excellent experience I had the first time, I went with an overall score of 4. Would have used a 5, but just can't do it because the last one was a train wreck. Bottom line: would I do this tour again? Yes. But, I'd call ahead and see who the guide was going to be that evening. Should YOU do this tour? Yes, maybe you'll get lucky and get a great guide and be hooked like I was the first time. read more

We went on the Creepy Crawl Pub Tour. I can't remember our tour guide's name, but she was super friendly and entertaining. I was really creeped out by most of the stories, but I'm also a wimp. My boyfriend wasn't really creeped out or scared, but he was entertained. I'd recommend this tour, because you can do any number of ghost tours but it's just that much more fun with a beer in your hand and hearing stories about the bars you were just in. read more

One of my favorite Tours, though I did have... not a bad experience at the Moon River building, but an unsettling one. Before taking this youtube Ghost Adventures Moon river and watch it. It will make your visit to the brewery better in my opinion if you see what that crew experienced. read more

We did the "Creepy Crawl" and it was probably the best thing we did on our trip! Our group was about 24 people and by the end of the tour everyone was exchanging numbers, so much fun! Our guide Linda was awesome and was drinking at every bar with us. We went to about 6 bars and although we didn't stay long she would tell us the story of each bar and why it was considered "haunted". I definitely don't recommend it for kids or grandparents, this is a pub crawl after all and it goes pretty late and the group gets pretty rowdy. Definitely worth the money and better than any lame ghost tour stuck in a bus! read more

My friends and I took the Creepy Crawl Haunted Pub Tour. It is heavy on the "pub" part and very light on the "creepy" part. That being said, it brought us to pubs that we normally would not have noticed to visit. It takes you off the beaten path and away from the tourist traps. We actually liked one of the pubs we visited on the tour so much that we went back the following night. If you do this tour, just keep in mind that the stories are a little lame but if you are visiting Savannah with friends this is a great alternative to sitting at a bar and a good way to get a feel for the city. read more

Pub crawl was fun, our guide did not return us to the six pence where we started but simply told us to walk up the block a few streets. His directions were incorrect and we wound up wandering the streets of Savannah at midnight, it was disturbing how he just kind of dumped us off like that, it ruined an otherwise fun experience for me. read more

Was really looking forward to this & was a bit disappointed. If you are looking for most of the tour to really be centered around the drinking vs ghosts then this is for you. Pretty much hitting a bar then a story after each. Which the stories were entirely too long & drawn out.. Until I was a little tipsy I found myself really bored. The guide, however was very very nice but could cut back on length of stories & jokes so it would feel more serious. read more

Andre was our guide for the pub crawl on Wednesday evening. He had his work cut out for him as mot of the group were New Yorkers. We hit 5 pubs with cool stories attached to all and interesting facts along the way. Andre gave great suggestions as well for making the most of our visit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A group of my friends and I went on this tour last weekend during St Patty's day. We happened to find out about it at Six Pence Pub where we had lunch and saw all the great reviews. I've been on Ghost Tour Pub Crawls before, but this one takes the cake. First, the owner Greg was very helpful on the phone & made us feel welcome from the first time we met him in person at the bar. He introduced us to our tour guide, Taylor, who was amazing at her job. She kept 20 drunk people entertained for 2 hours & made sure each group was taken care of during the tour and after it as well. I have been on three creepy pub tours and the guide makes the trip. We just had the owner of the tour give us our guidance and it was horrible. Not one historical fact was told during the tour. He told more stories about his drunken escapades which I have more to tell. Very disappointed since I brought family in to see this tour. I would recommend the full moon tours over this. read more

Don't waste your time with the Creepy Crawl tour. My boyfriend and I went on this tour together with about 20 others and it was so boring we left the tour midway. Our guide Linda was neither informative nor interesting, and we knew others felt the same as everyone was talking amongst themselves rather than listening to her. To us it seemed the group was too large for Linda to deal with by herself. About 90 minutes into the tour 2 younger woman got lost and Linda left the 20 others of us in the middle of a square for 20 minutes while she went back to find these girls. Not only was it unprofessional to leave 20 people alone when you are their guide, the two girls should never have gotten lost in the first place. One of the pubs (an Irish one which Linda repeated stated was her favorite in the area) we went to didn't even have any ghostly stories associated with it, Linda told us 4 or 5 corny Irish jokes and that was it. We have enjoyed other ghost tours in Savannah, but cannot recommend this one. read more
