This is an incredible (but very busy!) state park. We camped at walk-in site 83, which was hands…read moredown the best site in the park. The walk-in sites in general are all amazing, you're secluded from everyone else but still close to the amenities. Site 83 is about a 4-minute walk from where you park your car. There are two tent pads and plenty of space. It's a beautiful site--book it early! The amenities at the campground were great, with plenty of places to recycle, fill up water, and throw out trash. The bathrooms are also very nice, but they are some of the busiest bathrooms I've ever seen! There are plenty of hiking trails as well, a great visitor center and gift shop, and it is an all around lovely state park.

I'm not super experienced at camping, but the campsites felt quite close together to me. Compared to other places we've been, the sites are much less private. AMENITIES: 5/5 The amount of water spickets and bathrooms around the site were great, and the showers/main bathroom facilities were nice! STATE PARK: 5/5 We loved walking a bit of the state park over the weekend! The suspension bridge is super cool, and it's really fun to walk on and explore the unique rock formations along the water.

Paid double for the wood we used, paid double for the kayaks 2 of my children used. When questioned, the owner got snappy and rude. The camper sites are small if you have any sort of camper with any slide outs, there is very little room to play with out feeling like you are spying on the camper next to you. The campground is for sale. We will not consider coming back until it sells and there are new owners.

If anyone would like to see the letter she mailed to my 87 year old father, who had been a seasonal for over 15 years and who's wife was on Hospice and just recently passed away, let me know and I would be happy to share the eviction letter he got from her. My dad didn't spend a lot of time at his seasonal site last year, because he was taking care of my mother. Now that she has passed, he doesn't have his seasonal site to enjoy this year and beyond. My dad loved the campground and the previous owners. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CAMPGROUND OR MICHELLE FUSSY THE OWNER, There are plenty of beautiful campgrounds in the area to support. I would give her a negative 10 review if I could. I put this same review on last fall, but was forced to remove it because she purposely overcharged by dad's electric bill and would only agree to his calculation if I took my review off here. THIS CAMPGROUND OWNER IS DECEITFUL

So I wanted to make the most of the couple days I had there and decided to book a guide trip with Walleye Dan. Our guide was Dustin and he picked us up in the morning right at our dock. Within a couple minutes we had lines in the water and a few minutes after that our first few fish. Caught them pretty consistently the whole morning and my only regret is that we didn't have time to spend a few more hours out there. Everything was provided for fishing (rods, bait, etc.), just make sure you bring any water, snacks, and sunscreen you need and a valid fishing license. The booking process was very straightforward. I submitted an email through the website about availability. Shelley got back to me quick and I called her the next day to book. No problem with securing a time on a summer Friday morning. Sounds like they're pretty flexible and will work with your schedule. Couldn't recommend them more if you want to catch some fish!
