When I arrived, she applied numbing cream as she had another customer - making use of her time for both herself and customers which I thought was very smart. The microblading process was quite painful even with the numbing cream but the results were fantastic. My brows have appeared to be darker and fuller while looking natural. I came back today for a follow up appointment with no additional charge and cannot wait for my eyebrows to heal! I loved her hospitality and work. Because my first experience in an unrelated Manhattan salon left me with extensions that felt heavy and looked so over the top (when I asked for a natural look) I thought I'd never do them again. However, thanks to a Groupon, I decided to take the plunge and try again. Benny was my clinician and did an AMAZING job. I did not want my lashes to be too long (I just wanted them fuller) and emphatically asked for the shortest possible length since I wear glasses. She was very careful, precise and at the end, I was amazed by how subtle, yet noticeably natural and pretty the lashes looked. My 16 yo daughter also did them for the first time and they were beautifully done by her clinician as well. The staff was very nice and when my extensions were done, Benny explained in detail how to take care of my new lashes. She, herself, also had beautiful lashes on and when I asked her about them, said they were already two weeks old! I was so surprised by how full and great they still looked. Once I arrived, Alice checked on my eyebrows and had me sign some paperwork. There was aftercare instructions in the back so make sure you take pictures of it! (Alice will let you know to take pics of it as well) Once I sat on the procedure chair, she went through my options. Since I had redness due to the removal, she was afraid it would show if she added just the microblading hair strokes. She suggested I do the combo which entails shading along with the hair strokes. Of course there was an additional cost but I really didn't want to have my eyebrows fixed again for future purposes so I went ahead and opted for the combo. Once I laid down, Alice walked me through the entire eyebrow drawing procedure and asked me what kind of eyebrow shape I was looking for. I was bored of my straight brows so I wanted more of an arch but not too much of an arch. She drew and perfected my eyebrows countless of times in order to get the right and perfect style. She also made sure my eyebrows were aligned and symmetrical. All in all, the procedure was entirely painless and very easygoing and smooth. I will post up the pictures of my eyebrows once they'll done healing so you can see the finished product! (They're way too dark as of now so I don't want that to scare you guys off!) Book with Alice! Alice was very pleasant to work with, but my brows were not as bold as I would have preferred (even though I paid extra to have them done in the "bold" /more full style). Alice reshaped my brows a tiny bit by shaving off/plucking, and once I got used to the new shape I loved them. Alice did mention that because my skin is on the oilier side ( have combination skin), and more sensitive that my results could be lighter. They are! Here is a before and after. Told them I had an appointment and then I went to go pick the color. I was seated in the last and only available pedicure seat left. This place is pretty busy on a Sunday morning at opening time. The host lined the tub with plastic and turned the water on in the tub. A girl named Ivy continued my pedicure after a few minutes soaking. Asked for the water to be a little hotter and she did not complain. She asked if I wanted my nails cut, and then she clipped, filed, and buffed. Put oil on the cuticles and soaked again, then picked off all the dead skin. Overall clean work and seems to have painted in the edges too, which I really like.
