Wanted to do something special for Valentine's Day with my husband. All it took was one quick call, car ride and short consultation. Within hours we were getting uniquely designed tattoos!! We were greeted and tattooed by Travis, the owner at Savage Kat Tattoo Co in Auburn, WA! His professionalism and skills were absolutely outstanding. We got extremely lucky that he happened to be free due to a cancellation. The universe was truly looking out for us! He sat with us and listened to everything we liked, wanted and hoped for. Designed multiple options for us and modified our chosen designs until they were everything we could dream of. The designs were perfectly matching for the both of us while being tailored uniquely for our own preferences and placements. This was also my husband's first tattoo! I'm so thankful we had such a lovely experience with a tremendous artist who showed my husband everything that a tattoo appointment and experience truly should be. Travis was so great in offering advice on placement according to anatomy and future tattoo plans to ensure a perfectly done tattoo. He made sure he got our approval on everything every step of the way and clarified spelling multiple times throughout the process to guarantee no chance of mistakes or misspelling. This was a small but extremely notable thing for us and really showed how involved and invested Travis is in both his art and his clients. After each of our completed tattoos, he was kind enough to take a video and photos of our tattoos and send them to us. This was so nice. We could immediately show off to friends and family - and in way better lighting and angles then we'd have been able to get ourselves! While there, I also decided to purchase a high quality nose jewelry that Toxic, a tattoo/piercer at the shop, was even willing to put in for me. I am writing this review for my partner as he is too kind.... The apprentice David refused to do his tattoo in the 3 different locations he requested and also asked for it to be oriented differently and also got refused. Yes he should've just left and not allowed him to do the tattoo in a location he did not want but he is too nice as I mentioned and also had been waiting for 2 hours for this tattoo. The piercer used titanium jewelry and his knowledge/experience were apparent. This is my favorite piercing shop. I have gotten tattoos here as well. The shop is always clean and a super fun environment to be in. Gumby is amazing. They are very professional and knowledgeable, and always have a calming presence to them. My piercings, jewelry changes, and removals (had two dermals removed by Gumby) have gone smoothly and with little anxiety. They are great at talking you through the process and making sure you're comfortable, while making it as quick and easy as possible. I just got my Daith pierced today, and it was just overall a very pleasant experience (as pleasant as possible given you are being stabbed with a tiny needle lol) and I was in and out of there in about 15 minutes. I have been able to get same day appointments more often than not, but if they're busy, they're worth waiting for an appointment! read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Went in to get my nose re-pierced as it had recently closed. The place is clean, open and decent vibe. AFTER getting my nose done, the guy tells me that he didn't have the correct length stud for my small nose so it would fall out my nostril. And I could come back in 10 weeks to spend more money to get the correct size if the piercing had healed well enough by then. I work in Finance in the corporate office and I have to stick my finger up my nose 20 times per day so it's not hanging out my nostril. If I hadn't just paid $70 plus a fat tip I would let it heal and try again. read more

I have been waiting to get a tattoo near and dear to my heart for two years now. After planning and over thinking and dreading the rib pain I finally found Savage Kat, and Paige! Paige is a first year artist but she's so incredibly talented I would not have known. Paige was incredibly kind, professional, helpful, fun, fast, and all over amazing. She made me 5 different sketches and only had to to tweak my choice very slightly for it to be perfect. She also made sure I felt comfortable while getting my tattoo, while my chest was exposed, and while I laid in a slightly awkward position for 90 minutes. The shop is also SUPER cool and comfy. It's got gorgeous lighting and something to look at in every corner. They played a movie, so I basically just laid back and watched a comedy once we got everything all drawn up. I got my septum and nostril pierced by Robyn, who was amazing and explained every step of the process to me and was super easy to work with right from the get-go. The shop is super clean and they have extra measures in place for COVID. They sanitize EVERYTHING and I felt comfortable and safe. I like that they have tv's set up so you have something to chill out and watch it you're getting tattooed and have to be there for hours. I would definitely go back for more piercings. My last piercing experience was interesting to say the least. The piercer asked me to steal lidocaine from my work in trade for free piercing. So I was skeptical of trying a new place. Hidden Entity came highly recommended so I went with it. As for choosing which piercer to see, I went with the name as they both came with great praise. Gumby was so nice. I went in for a nostril and septum piercing. The nostril had to be paired with the other side (done previously). He took the time to really make them match to the best of his ability. Same with my septum. He took his time and not only made sure the septum would be a good piercing, but making sure it was straight. He was very clean and explained everything he was doing as he was doing it. The process was so smooth and pain was minimal. I'm absolutely in love with my new piercings and I will be recommending Gumby to anyone and everyone I can. The shop was clean and they were on top of their Covid precautions. I absolutely would recommend going here to get your piercings done, no matter what you want to get. I finally got the courage to get a nose piercing that I've been wanting for a very long time. I was nervous a bit scared to be honest before walking in and getting it done. I was greeted very friendly and quickly by Robyn. She really assured me that it wouldn't hurt and it'd be quick. So we signed some paper work and she got my ID. Afterwards, I was seated down for about one - two minutes while she was prepping everything , also she marked where the piercing would be and showed me in a mirror too so I would be happy with where it would be and I was. So Robyn did the piercing she told me breathe in, and then breathe out and when I breathed out she puncture my nose and it was done, honestly it was quick and painless! I absolutely was beyond relieved. She cleaned my nose cause obviously you're gunna be bleeding by now and let me know the cleaning process and healing process. I bought the solution from the shop too so I can clean it immediately after I get home, which I totally recommend getting. In the end I spent $81 for the piercing, solution with tax. Which isn't bad at all! You're treated so good at this shop. Also the shop's cleanliness is STUNNING from the ground up , very clean and organized. Which made me comfortable and confident coming here. Over all, come here and go with Robyn she'll make your experience amazing. She's so friendly and quick! read more

Got a septum piercing here probably like 2 months ago and pretty sure the piercer put it way too low. This was my 3rd time getting it re-pierced and the previous times at another shop I was able to flip my piercing up, now it's difficult to do so. When I got my septum done at another spot, it healed perfectly fine, didn't hurt after it healing. The piercing is supposed to go in the "sweet spot" which is more tender. After couple of weeks getting it done at hidden entity I could still feel pain, definitely wasn't the softest spot in my nose. He was kind of quick with it too. It was the end of the day so I get it, you wanna peace out. But now I'm probably just going to take out the piercing and go somewhere else lol read more

This review is specifically for the artist Jeff. I was super excited to get a coverup. I originally wanted a phoenix. The first warning sign I should have seen was that the design he came up with was nothing like the multiple photos I sent him. We spent 2 hours trying to fix it and he didn't listen to what I was telling him. I eventually changed it to a tiger because the phoenix was not what I wanted. Next warning signs, the first session took 5 hours and he didn't finish and he wanted to set another appointment for 2 weeks out. Every place I've gone to has said to wait at least a month. I pushed the appointment out to a little under 4 weeks. The 2nd session took 3 additional hours and hurt a lot from the start (I sat for the first session of 5 hours without issue). He still didn't finish and everytime I asked him how much longer he just said "it'll take as long as it'll take". At this point, I was feeling like he wasn't comfortable with the style of tattoo. The tiger head was not great after the first session but I thought it was because he didn't have time to finish. For the first session, I used saniderm and it healed fine after about 5 days. After the 2nd session, I was in so much pain and the saniderm was soaked after the first day. I went in and he changed it out. It was still oozing alot and by day 4, it was leaking so I took the saniderm off. I ended up having to take antibiotics because it got infected. I went in to have Jeff look at the tattoo and he didn't bother looking at it more than a second and says "it happens sometimes" and to check back in with him in about 2 weeks . No information about what I should do to take care of the tattoo. I was in pain for almost 3 weeks. I sent an email cancelling my follow up appointment with a picture of how damaged my skin was after the 2nd session and never heard back from him. The pictures are the stencil, right after the first session, right after the 2nd session, last pic shows the damage after about 3 weeks healed. It is still healing. I posted pictures on a tattoo forum and everyone believes he didn't know how to do this tattoo, milking me for money, and overworked the tattoo and damaged my skin. This ended up taking 8 hours, $1200 and I need to pay someone else to fix it. I don't trust him to touch my skin again. I'm posting this so others can be aware. I went to Savage Kat because there was only positive reviews but now realize that none were for this specific artist. read more

We originally wanted our tattoos done in dime or nickel size but he immediately told us that that wouldn't work due to older age and the tattoo changing and all that. The owner and him would always look over the stencil to make sure the placement looked right and then would have me officially approve it. Overall the experience was amazing! It's been a month since I got a tattoo at hidden entity, and I let them know that I wasn't comfortable with the shading on this tattoo the day after it was done. They initially claimed that it would look different after healing. Two weeks later they contacted me asking for my phone number so they could call and set up an appointment. They never called. I did think it was the way that they pierced it at first because my at home care for it was constant and I still do clean it because of the healing not being fully done.
