I thought maybe he could jerry rig a little hook or something for my bedroom door. And then he hung my curtains! This guy's the real deal. Could probably fix or figure out anything. Old fashioned manners, very professional. Would definitely call him again!

Nice people and their service is streamlined and reliable however at a time when most companies are…read moreremoving long term contracts these guys will lock you in for a pretty hefty 5 years! We tried desperately for 30 days to upgrade our alarm again but apparently getting more money from us proved too difficult for them and I finally had to give up. So after about 20 years with them we decided to cancel and move on but were told there's 4 years left in our contract. Apparently we did a slight equipment upgrade last year and they extended us another 5 years without our knowledge. Early termination fee? But of course. A reasonable set amount? Of course not. It's the full monthly rate times the # of months left in the contract. The incentive for a company to not have a contract is they have to offer great service to retain you as a client so you do not leave them for someone else. And if they're the best why would you ever leave? Bottom line. Be careful with these guys when you esign those 72 page contracts online so you know the plan.

I recently contacted Mar Vista Security and Intercom Systems about upgrading our call box. My…read moreinitial plan involved spending around $3000 on new hardware and installation to go from land line to cell-based, plus dealing with an ongoing monthly bill of over $50. But Jack turned that around completely with some fantastic advice over the phone. Instead of pushing for an expensive upgrade, Jack recommended switching our land line provider from AT&T to Spectrum. This simple change would save us over $300 per month without needing to touch any of our existing equipment--and he didn't charge a dime for the consultation! We're talking $30 a month for a business landline with Spectrum versus the whopping $360 we were paying AT&T. Thanks to his pointer, Spectrum is coming out tomorrow to handle the switch and finally rid us of that overpriced service. What really sets Jack apart is that he was the only one out of several companies I contacted who actually suggested this smart solution. The others either ghosted me or tried to upsell unnecessary work. Jack's honesty and willingness to help, even if it meant no immediate business for him, speak volumes about his integrity. If we ever decide to upgrade the system or add cameras in the future, Mar Vista will be my first call. Highly recommend--5 stars all the way!

What seemed like a…read morepromising experience during the initial phone consultation quickly turned into a frustrating and disappointing one. On installation day, the technician arrived late without any meaningful communication, and the overall process felt rushed from the start. The installation itself lacked attention to detail. The TV ended up slightly crooked, the mount wasn't positioned at the ideal viewing angle despite our earlier discussion, and the cables were left exposed instead of being neatly concealed as we had expected. There was little effort to ensure everything looked clean or professionally finished. To make matters worse, the technician hurried through the job and left without properly explaining the setup or checking that everything was working correctly. We had to spend additional time adjusting the TV ourselves and eventually hire another installer to fix several issues. Considering the cost and the value of our television, this experience was extremely disappointing. I expected a professional installation with careful workmanship, but instead received poor service and unnecessary stress. Based on my experience, I would not recommend piXL America.
