These guys are a joke; they have no clue what they are doing…read more I had a part that needed to be returned to Yamaha to re-program it. I was told by Yamaha to send in the part thru a dealer, and they would re-program it for free. I went thru Norfolk Marine (Big Mistake). I dropped the part off on Wednesday and explained to the service manager what had happened and exactly what Yamaha told me. I also provided him the information Yamaha requested to be sent in with the part. He said he would have his tech look at it, I asked him why and that it just needed to be forwarded to Yamaha, he said just to verify the part. A few hours later I received a call from him saying a Yamaha tech would be out to program and install the part. I said that Yamaha was very specific stating the part could only be programmed at Yamaha. I asked him if he spoke to Yamaha and he said yes (this was a bold face lie) and they told him it could be programmed in the field. He told me the tech would meet me at 8:00AM that Friday. I took off of work Friday morning and the tech did not show, I tried to call the service department's manager at 9:00AM, and he was not in, the receptionist said she would let him know when he came in, he returned my call about 15 minutes later and said the tech was wrapping up and would be out shortly, he showed up around 10:00AM and told me no one had scheduled him to come out to my boat. He spent about an hour or so and could not get the part to work, he then called his office and tried a couple of other things, still did not work, he then called Yamaha, and they said the part would have to be sent to them in order to get it re-programmed (waste of 4-days). They then sent it to Yamaha, and it went through some problems there. Yamaha finally got it programmed and overnighted it back to Norfolk Marine (Thursday). I called Norfolk Marine the next day (Friday) and they said it did not come in and they would be looking for it. I called the following Monday, and they said it still had not shown, I then called Yamaha, and they told me it was signed for and gave me the tracking number. I entered the number, and it said it had been delivered the prior Friday. I called Norfolk Marine, and they went on an Easter egg hunt, come to find out it was delivered to the parts department and they refused it and told UPS it was supposed to go to Yamaha. It has been over 5-weeks, and I have not been able to use my boat, the part is now missing, and Norfolk Marine has no clue where it is.

I took my car to this shop after some locals recommended it to me. My engine was making interesting…read morenoises and was losing coolant and I wanted them to try to figure it out. They told me what they thought the issue was and that I shouldn't drive the vehicle. They told me that if I had the work done with them they would waive the diagnostic fee. They quoted me a price for the rebuild and told me 3 weeks. After receiving the parts, it took them 7 weeks and 2 days to get the car back to me. During this time, they decided to not waive the diagnosis fees and added extra fees without discussing them with me. I had to call them every week to get an update and they never updated the timeline. For reference during this time, my other vehicle had $10k worth of body damage repaired from a drunk driver hit and run in 3 weeks and they called me every week during the repair to let me know how things were going. After receiving the car, it sounded worse than before. They stated that my timing chain tensioner needed to be replaced (this was replaced 4000 miles ago) and that my vacuum reservoir was cracked. The vacuum reservoir was in fact fine, they had connected my vacuum hosing to a check valve backward. The "timing chain noise" was in fact an improperly torqued bolt from their engine rebuild. I called to request a partial refund due to improper work, as I had to pay another shop to figure out the improperly torqued bolt. They offered me a small partial refund and said that they would mail me a check. Well, it has been almost 6 weeks now and I have not received a check. It's very frustrating to pay over $2k for an engine rebuild minus parts and get this kind of service. I don't believe I would ever take my vehicle back to this ship which sadly renders the "warranty" they offer useless. Overall terrible experience.

When I contacted them about my thoughts, they responded within hours and were excited at taking in my car for the modification. They had my car into their shop within days! They are very busy (And I understand why), but their response and turn-a-round is outstanding!!! More importantly, they had it completed not at the end of the day promised, but before I even woke up on that day. They actually came in early to make sure that I was taken care of. I tell you this right now...I will always go to them for my modification needs. They get you in as quickly as possible and do everything they can to make you happy. They welcome you to come in and take a peak at the build, send you pictures of the progress and give you feedback on what they are doing. Better than that, they treat you like family instead of treating you like you should thank them for the work, then they give you an absolutely honest quote without gouging you to death. Not to mention, every person on the staff is extremely knowledgeable about the business. The last kicker...They insist on doing the best job possible, if they are not comfortable doing what you want they will tell you that they can't do it. But they will recommend where you can go. The last bit was not a personal experience, but from overhearing their interactions with others. This spells integrity, a very rare breed that is lacking in this community. Extremely Disappointed - Poor Communication and Zero Accountability…read moreI initially went to Easter Off Road to have a leveling kit and new tires installed. I returned a little while later to have a noise diagnosed, which involved removing my skid plate. I travel for work approximately 90% of the time, which the shop was fully aware of. When I called to schedule a time to have my skid plate put back on, I was informed that they had thrown it away without ever contacting me. The owner refused to reimburse me or replace the skid plate. He claimed they have a three-day policy for holding parts, yet also admitted that my skid plate sat there for a month before they threw it away. During that entire month, no one attempted to call, text, or email me to ask what I wanted done with my property. I also have an existing text thread with their service staff regarding my vehicle, and not a single message was sent letting me know that my skid plate was still there, that there was supposedly a deadline to pick it up, or that they intended to throw it away. If there is truly a three-day policy, that was never communicated to me before they disposed of my property. What makes this even more frustrating is that when I originally had my leveling kit installed, they specifically called and asked whether I wanted to keep the old parts. I said no, and they disposed of them. Clearly, they had both my contact information and an established way to communicate with me before disposing of parts, yet that same courtesy wasn't extended to a skid plate that was supposed to go back on my vehicle. My issue isn't simply that they threw away my property. It's the complete lack of communication and accountability afterward. They knew I travel extensively for work, had multiple ways to contact me, made no attempt to do so, and then refused to replace or reimburse me for something they chose to discard. A single phone call, text, or email could have prevented this entire situation. Instead, I'm now responsible for replacing a perfectly good skid plate because they threw it away without my permission. I expected much better communication and customer service from a shop entrusted with my vehicle. Unfortunately, based on how this was handled, I would not recommend Easter Off Road.
