Then, about 3 months ago, the price went up $40 without warning. I called to cancel TV and phone, which I never use anyway. No explanation for price jump, no attempt to keep the business. Granted, it's pretty reliable and good speed. All of a sudden, I have a $25 EFT charge that no one can explain to me. Not my bank and not Spectrum. Of course, it's the other entity's fault. They removed it one month and we added autopay and replaced the payment method with a credit card, then the fee was there again. Sorry, we can only remove it once. In fairness, when there is a rare outage, they're pretty on top of it.

First off, I am not Adam. I scanned the business card he gave me and attached it to the review…read more Have you ever had the experience of trying to deal with a home network problem by going through your ISP, and, the vendor of whatever other networking equipment you are using? Each of them says that things look good on their end, and you need to contact the "other guy". How about trying to do that on the phone? You live in an area with poor cell signal, and the only way you can have a conversation is to utilize "wifi calling", except - you DON'T HAVE WIFI, so the call is breaking up and you can barely understand each other. The chance of getting a technician from your ISP to pay you a visit is about as likely as winning the lottery. I did a search on Yelp and Adam was the first - got another response from one other vendor who said they couldn't help me - to respond. He said he could come the next day, and it turns out he is located only 15 minutes from my house. I had done some remediation before his arrival and found out that my problem was not due to equipment, but a configuration decision that I had made that gradually disrupted my network (No, the customer is NOT always right). Adam explained everything that had happened, tweaked some settings, and made some suggestions about how I could optimize my setup. He is very knowledgeable about many networking, communication, and security issues. This will lead me to work with him in the future to improve the quality of our cell signal and do some rewiring to improve the performance of our home network. He also has expertise in other areas - it turns out he used to work for the company that services the entry gates into our community and is also extremely well-versed in network security issues. His hourly rate is entirely reasonable, IMHO. Finally, he is a REALLY nice guy. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Not one tech rep has been able to help! I live in an area where only 4G is available, surrounded by mountains with 5G, so "Sorry, come back when our specialist is in. He'll be here in 3 days." "Maybe he can help you then." If you can avoid both Charter Spectrum and Verizon, I highly recommend seeking service elsewhere. I'm paying about $180 per month for just 1 cellphone, 1 TV and internet!!! We moved from our house and the Charter technician came and picked up the equipment the the day the movers were there. I trusted the technician to steer me straight. He took the cable box but let the phone internet modem even though I asked him if he wanted it. He said it would be left there for the next customer. That trust was a mistake. I received a letter that we now owe Charter money for the modem . Do I feel betrayed? Yes. I have tried to resolve this with Charter but to no avail. Of course they do not know who the technician was, They cannot even trace the pickup of the cable boxes to the date it happened. But now they are threatening to hit my credit report if I do not pay. They are also using this as an excuse not to pay a $170 credit they owe me. DO NOT USE CHARTER! They are not honest.

This company's sales representative engaged in gross misrepresentation and fraud when she signed me…read moreup for Direct TV last year.2 issues are involved -When we signed up she was told that we would be relocating to the Charlotte area. She informed me on several occasions that the installation at our new home would be done by them at no cost. When it came time to do this, she scheduled us. A week prior to moving I reconfirmed the insatll date at which time she said they can't do it and I would need to contact Direct TV. They told me that it would cost $200. I subsequently had conversations with her which she said she was working on the issue. Finally, the day before the move, she emailed me saying there was nothing she can do. I asked to sperak to the owner on 5 occcasions, but he refued to speak with me.The second issue involves her representation to me that the $54 we would pay for the first year would only increase to $61 in year 2. My bill increased from $54 to $89 this month. Because of this, I called America's Satelite on January 17th and spoke to John who told me it should not have gone up 70% and reconfirmed that America's Satelite go to Charlotte "all the time". I asked to speak with the owner, Alberto on the following Monday. I received an email that Monday saying that he was out of the country and would be back the following Monday. After not hearing from him that Monday, I emailed and called on at least 5 occasions and, to date, he has again, ignored my calls.By his actions (or lack thereof), Alberto condones fraudulant misrepresentation from his sales force and has no interest in resolving this issue. The company does not honor the written representations of their sales staff which cost me $240 and the owner is fully aware that it will cost more to sue than the $240. He is dishonest and disreputable and is n ot interested in correcting this issue. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!
