When I visit Kelowna from the U.S., I usually take a shoe shopping expedition to Hollywood Shoes in Rutland. This last February I decided to give Sassy Shoes a try. I bought a pair of Gold Button shoes for summer wearing, which I wore to work for the first time in May. After 3 hours the zipper in the back had cut into my skin. Since I paid a lot of money for the shoes, I decided to bring them with me on my next visit to Kelowna to find out if I could exchange them for something else. I tried to do that today. Long story short...don't bother trying to exchange any shoes here. I arrived around 3pm and a man was working the shop. He told me that he wasn't sure what the policy is, but that the owner would be back around 4pm. She finally arrived around 4:30pm and told me that "there's nothing I can do for you, these were bought 4 months ago." You're right, that is when they were bought. But two crucial pieces of information - I couldn't wear the shoes until the warm season and I live 500 miles away. Even if I lived here, the earliest I would have learned that the shoes hurt was a month ago. This is a high end shoe store and I expect better service. As the owner, she could have done anything she wanted. Instead she sent me away with expensive shoes that I can't use and a bad taste in my mouth. Do yourself a favor and save your shoe shopping money for Hollywood Shoes where you'll find comfortable shoes and customer oriented staff. read more
