I went to get a haircut yesterday by Kassidy. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I go with her and no complaints. She really takes her time with the haircut and is not rushed at all! If I say this length she respects it and does not go overboard. She defines the layers quite good and the blowdrying is top notch. She also has promotions, for example this time I got hair gloss for free and my haircut (which includes a blowout). Total was $55 and I tipped $5. My first time venturing out in San Bernardino while my son had an all day appointment at a nearby office. Let me tell you--the chick who did my hair was so accommodating. I'm bad with names. I referenced my receipt at it said Tys Dyes. Sorry! I'm a total douche wad for forgetting. I did not have an appointment and was not expecting to come from my beach city to SB to get my hair done, but I looked in the mirror that morning and *gasp*. I thought--man, I'm looking rough today. My grays are outta control and thought I would embrace them until my last hair colorist told me my hair looks older than my face. Lol. I went in as a walk in and no clue what I wanted with my hair. Skinny blonde girl takes me to her station and was probably as perplexed as I was going in. I wanted to blend in my grays and I was okay with a hard contrast with color. Her solution: go as ashy as my hair can go in one sitting, run with my existing highlights patterns, and plug in a money piece to go with my natural graying sides. All in all, I loved the outcome. $200 for the partial highlights, which was supposed to some with a cut and blow out. I declined the cut. I thought it was pricey but was satisfied with the outcome and tipped my girl. Soft-spoken but she knew what she was doing. Not from the SB area, but would definitely come back as a regular if I was. She made sure my Asian hair did not turn brassy and took her time in weaving through the pattern of the gray growth and existing highlights. read more

Booked an appointment with a stylist who changed my scheduled time 2x. Then when I showed up someone else greeted me and sat me at the chair for 30min. Apparently there was a "miscommunication" and they had a student stylist cut my hair. I live far out and this salon was close to my work so i decided to stay to avoid driving back and forth. I walked in with below the waist length hair and asked for 2 INCHES off with long layers. I ended up with above the shoulder length and choppy/shaggy layers almost like a mullet.... I had a deep conditioning treatment today with Jessica and it was a really good experience! I did wait about 15 minutes after my appointment time, but once we got started she was very attentive. Small things like asking about water temperature and offering to pull out the leg stand go a long way when you're getting a salon service. She was quick, efficient, and kind. Had a Very disappointing experience here, my stylist was Bernise Escobedo. My daughter went in to get her hair curled for her prom, I had talked over the phone with them a couple times and they gave me a price but when they finished the hair they charged me double what they had already agreed on. I let them know about the situation and they gave me a half as apology and i spoke to another stylist there her name was Jessica I believe, her tone was very rude. On top of all that my daughter went in with dry washed hair already and we didn't like the end result of the hair. Looks nothing like what we asked for smh. Never going back to this place. read more

i was looking to see if i was able to get a blunt cut with face framing layers but i also wanted to make sure that i kept my length. at first i liked it but the more i looked at my hair the more i hated it. one side is longer than the other, the cut is completely uneven and i'm mad cause i even tipped the girl. i only saw her cut my hair from the back like it didn't matter and she cut the front of my hair very quickly and that was it. usually when i've gone to other hairstylists they'll make sure that everything is even but the hairstylist i booked an appointment with, cut my hair on a whim. i also didn't like the products that were used on my hair, i have fine & straight hair & the products just made my hair very heavy and greasy. i honestly wouldn't recommend coming to this place and i would never come here again. i'm actually really upset cause i've been taking good care of my hair + trying to preserve the length of my hair only to get botched. read more

did some research on local salons and hairdressers and am so glad i came across sassy do's! i live in the san bernardino area and am always happy to support a local business. everything was reasonably priced and i even left purchasing a heat protector from their own sassy do's line. first and foremost, i was greeted immediately upon my arrival, the salon was clean and the decor aesthetically pleasing, and i was offered water and mimosas while i sat in the chair. (all sassy do's salons offer alcoholic beverages, btw!) i wanted a blonde money piece, half of my bangs, and a layered haircut, which is exactly what i got. i booked with niveah cole, who is the best hairdresser i've ever been to. she was communicative throughout the whole process, understanding of past negative experiences with bleaching, and read my mind every time we examined her work so far or when i needed her to lay off the blow dryer over the bleach when it started stinging. my waves look alive again with this haircut. i've gone to other, more expensive hairdressers who didn't have a good hand and, even when i asked for layers, my hair texture didn't look very different. i even washed my hair the very next day and did not notice any breakage over the bleached parts, little to no extra frizz, and my curl pattern is peeking through despite the bleaching process. niveah was fun to talk to, kind, and a perfectionist about her craft, which is something you want when you're gonna be in the chair for several hours. i look forward to retouching in a couple of months. thank you, sassy do's! read more

In my case I suffer from horrible allergies where I break out on my body and scalp. I unfortunately broke out the day of my appointment and wanted to reschedule. They said the deposit is non refundable and I would need to put down another deposit to reschedule. I think that policy should at least be on the confirmation email and customers should be aware. I really don't want to be 'that' person but I am really torn on this place. 3 stars for me is average and I think it fits as part of my experience was above average and part was below. I want to say first and foremost that I loved my stylist. If we'd met outside of an appointment we'd be great friends for life, no joke. His customer service was beyond epic. Great smile, friendly, super easy to talk to and none of that awkward "I don't know you" experience. His personality and the way he treated me like a person and not just a head of hair is what was 'above' for me. I can't say anything about his skill for cutting hair because I have no knowledge about cutting hair. Obviously I couldn't do it myself or I would have. That being said... I only needed a cut, the heat and the length were driving me crazy. So I booked a same day appointment online which I love! We get started and while I'm clear about some of what I want I'm still unsure about the rest which I'm sure makes it difficult... but he assures me that we'll do a little at a time until it's just right. Their first visit, women's cut and shampoo is free... Scary I know! If you want your hair to be blow-dried it's $25... I ended up giving what I felt I'd spend on a cut as the tip and let the sun dry my hair. So the cut is done and I'm not sure if the length is short enough, but when it dries it will lose a little length so okay, no problem. I go home with wet hair. Next morning I realize my hair is a bit uneven. Long strands poke out past the majority of my hair and as I inspect.. more start to appear. So I contact him and he's more than willing to fix it which is a relief. Second visit I'm not sure why, but I was expecting to get a full cut. I still wanted the length shorter and thought maybe adding some layers but my priority was getting the bottom straight.. He fixes the odd long pieces and smooths out the bluntness of my ends. I'm good with that part but the length and overall style of the cut are still not what I was wanting, I will have to get my hair cut again. It's been about two weeks and going back is going to cost me $40. So.. all in all.. they are convenient, friendly, and your stylist is possibly your next best friend for life, but.. I'm spending time getting a second haircut elsewhere so I'm not going to be referring anyone there for a cut anytime soon. read more

This was a great choice, she hooked me up, cut out all the color, and left me feeling literal pounds lighter and excited about my hair. DO NOT LET GABBY CONTRERAS CUT YOUR HAIR. First, I waited 15 minutes past my appointment time. Second, I didn't see GABRIELA CONTRERAS properly clean down her station after her last client. Third, she came back smelling like a cigarette. Fourth, she wasn't wearing a mask or even asked if I felt comfortable with not masking. Fifth, she seemed like she rushed through asking me what I wanted which didn't give me the confidence for the rest of the session. ( I asked for a long Bob) Her customer service and friendliness was mediocre and came off as lazy and forced. When she finally showed me the finished results, my hair was clearly uneven. So I pointed it out to be corrected. She proceeded to cut my hair to fix it, which was now dried and already style. It still wasn't fixed but I didn't want her touching my hair anymore. Now that I'm home, I've washed it and let it dry naturally with some straightening. It's COMPLETELY uneven all around and I don't know how to fix this without getting a pixie haircut. read more
