This is a cute shop in a great little shopping area by the Four Seasons and other hotels in downtown Boston by the waterfront. Very friendly ladies inside welcomed me easily and allowed me to browse the items without much trouble. They had a nice sale rack in the back, accessories like jewelry and shoes, and some very eclectic and beautifully made women's and ladies clothing. I saw some gorgeous styles to accent and step-up your wardrobe while browsing inside and the sales were excellent deals (some upwards of 50-60% off) with a tiered program where each item up to three were even more off. read more

Service was terrible. Insulted by check out girl after being stared down by other customers. Just arrived by plane to go to John's Hopkins for medical care and was shopping around the hotel after arrival. I did not in any way appear disheveled or unkempt even after traveling all morning. Staff told me I "must need an upgrade" after discussing the uncomfortable feeling from one of the 2 customers there when I arrived. read more

Super cute shop with even cuter clothes and accessories! I swear I could spend $1000 in this store in 30 minutes and be extremely happy! Clothes are not cheap, I've spent anywhere from $135 to over $400 on a dress, depending on the brand. I always say quality over quantity. Sassonova is where it is at! The customer service, trendy pieces and overall great shopping experience I was truly impressed. My sister recently bought me some gift from there for Christmas and I decided one day this month to go check it out for myself. When I first walked in I notice the fun inviting boutique style shop. The ladies working along with the owner were so inviting and sweet. I first noticed the great sale they were having on Winter pieces. I bought an amazing fur and faux fur collard cape. I also browsed their Spring collection and was very impressed as well. They have clothing pieces, shoes, bags and great accessories. I do think they should have a website due to people loving to shop online. The prices are of the typical boutique so they are on the higher side but, when they have sales I will be there or when I want to treat myself. Overall great place to shop for a gift, vacation, special event, or just something nice and girly. read more

Greenspring Location Review...Sadly...I used to like this store until today..I guess they thought because I was black I was going to shoplift. I had a shirt in my hand that I was asked did I want to try on I and before I could say no the sales woman took it out of my hand and put it behind the counter. They then moved the jar with the headbands in it to the back....When I asked what happened to the headbands she put the jar back on the shelf with no explanation..The nervous sales girl kept bumping into me because she was so close to me...This was blatant and uncalled for...Management definitely needs to revaluate who you hire. Some diversity would help. Stop being afraid and intimidated by a black person. Today it was obvious and I will make sure I let every person I know how I was treated... read more

This business has beautiful items and in the past were flexible and really showed appreciation for loyal customers. I am sad to say that is no longer the case. I made a really large purchase recently. Two days later most of the items went on sale. Unfortunately I was denied a price adjustment or the opportunity to return for store credit at the promotional price. The return policy is 14 days with store credit only which is very inflexible. I am a small business owner myself and appreciate supporting local small businesses, however unfortunately I will now be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I have been shopping there and regardless of how many times I go there I always feel as though I am being stalked. I am a African American but that does not make me a thief. Really amazing experience! The first time we went in we were greeted and allowed to shop without Any pressure! We spent about 460 on jewelry! One of the bracelets broke I brought it back and they exchanged it with no problem! I especially liked the fact that they had info on the designers! I recently bought shoes at Sassonova. I bought them for a wedding. As I put them on that day, they felt tight so I went with another shoe. I tried to return the shoes and I was told they take nothing back after 14 days. I have not run into this policy in any store, small or big. They were summer shoes and the store could have easily sold them. I will not shop there again. I find their mark-up in prices is also a reason I will stop shopping at Sassanova. read more

I walked into the boutique and was immediately greeted by all of the sales associates. However, they constantly bombarded me...asking if I was doing ok or if I was looking for something in particular. I couldn't even look around because they wouldn't leave me alone. This store just doesn't pull at my heartstrings and give me that fluttery feeling. The selection is not that abundant. They do have some quality pieces here and there but nothing that has grabbed me to the point of "I must have it." I agree with the other reviewer as well on the customer service. I am pretty darn friendly and I have yet to engage any of the salespeople here in actual conversation. The are always on the phone or doing something other than paying attention to actual customers. They say hello and goodbye sufficiently but thats about it. Urban Chic is much better and this place cannot come close to my all time favorite, Poppy and Stella. read more

What the owner selects to carry in the store is cute and tasteful, but there are few things there for a 6ft gal with size 11 feet. My main rant is about their unwillingness to integrate with the community. I asked them to hand out my business cards along with some 7 day guest passes for an upscale gym when they made sales or display them and they said yes. Within two weeks I was suspicious when zero people came to the gym to redeem passes. I went to the store and found out they had thrown them out. Please do not tell me to my face that you will help me and then do the opposite by wasting my money by throwing out my printed items. My notions were reinforced when I took an artists' tour of the winter wonderland display windows event held in Harbor East . The artist assigned to Sassanova's windows had created a holiday piece titled Three Women, but there were only two women in the final piece. After the artist's hard work, the owner did not allowed her to display her third woman because it blocked the displayed clothing. The artist had to explain to everyone why her submitted title was different than the art displayed. Sassanova should have at least permitted the artist to display her full work for the night of the unveiling, which was also the night of the judging. read more

It goes without saying that this place has some gorgeous merchandise. However, the customer service is really poor. I am tired of walking into this place and being treated like I don't exist. I have been known to drop some serious $$$ on fashion IF the salespeople are nice to me. If I see something I like at Sassanova, however, I'll just Google it and find out where I can get it cheaper. read more

Get used to the word "unfortunately". Bought a dress with my niece for her sons baptism. Baby had a bit of a meltdown and we bought the dress and asked if we could return. Got a big yes. Returned the next day (too much cleavage) and got "unfortunately.....no!" Savannah told us "if we were lucky" we could get a merchandise credit. Did I mention the dress was "on sale" for $150 from $300 and didn't even look like a $150 dress? Had to wait for a call back from the owner which never happened. Ended up having to pick out $150 worth of things I didn't want. Will never shop there again. Savannah was rude and the customer service was horrible. read more

So had a gift card for this place. Was immediately greeted by a sales person ok nice! Then what happened next was reminiscent of a 1990's Merry Go Round if you are not familiar with it then let me explain they were so super pushy because they worked on commissions that you were almost guaranteed not to leave the store without buying something just to get them to leave u alone! I can appreciate some help but honestly they were just trying to sell anything they could! I am curvy I was brought dress after dress that was definitely not for my body type! Tops never asked for tops??? Pants never asked for pants!!! But they were brought! Oh hey shoes nope never asked for shoes!!! WTF!!! You lost a customer!!! I used my gift card and got the hell out of there! So many other nice boutiques to shop at as well as on line! Will definitely NOT be visiting again! BTW I would of bought a few of the dresses I tried but couldn't stand how pushy you were! You didn't earn my business you just saw me as a sale! BTW I have worked in retail a long time ! This store is very nice and has a great selection of cute shoes. However, in the future I am just going to go in there to browse and try on and then purchase somewhere else (probably Nordstrom). Here's why: I bought a pair of Tory Burch Reva flats there. Within a few weeks, the sole started peeling back at the toe. I know this is not Sassanova's fault, but had it been Nordstrom, they would have taken them back or given me a new pair, no questions asked. I've even heard a story from a friend that she was at Nordstrom trying on shoes and the salesperson noticed her current shoe (although a year old) was in bad shape and she gave her a new pair after verifying that she bought them from Nordstrom. When I brought the shoe in the box, with the receipt, back to Sassanova, I was told: "Looks like normal wear and tear to me" and she wouldn't even offer me a discount on a new pair. I told her that I would agree if the shoes weren't only three weeks old (I did not wear them every day those three weeks) and I didn't pay $195 for them. I really like to support local, independent retailers. Unfortunately, this experience made me never want to buy anything there again and I tell this story to anyone I talk to about Harbor East.
