I came away with a slightly pricy, but very unique "Charm City" print (~$35) that brings me joy every time I look at it. I came another time for some holiday shopping in the middle of a weekday, and had the luxurious opportunity to take my time and browse through everything. The store associates were so helpful and helped me talk through the pros / cons of a few items I was looking at. With their 25% sale, I was able to find 2 substantial-ish stocking stuffers for ~$15 which was great. Excited to treat myself to another trinket / item when I find myself here next.

It was hard to narrow down my shopping since I had to be mindful that I had a carry on and personal item to travel back home. I couldn't resist and decided to purchase items and just ship them to myself back home. I bought a shawl/jacket in the most wonderful Olive Green color that is perfect for walking and driving in. I also got the softest scarf. Customer service was top notch. I saw this scarf on display on a mannequin and I asked if it came in different colors and they went to go look since I am not a big fan of the browns in my attire choices. I got a gray/black combo scarf. Since we had cooled down significantly as we were shopping, we got hungry and asked if we could place the items on hold since we didn't want to carry our purchases until the end of our exploration and headed back to the car. I gave them my name, they placed the items on hold and we went to eat. When we came back, the store associate remembered my name and that our items were on hold. She also told me that they have a website with many items for sale from their actual sales floor that could be shipped and proceeded to tell me how the store got started. She wrapped the items with care and off we were. Prices are completely reasonable for a store of this caliber. This store could easily fit into the vibe of Stanford Shopping Center, Santana Row, downtown Carmel, etc.....but I KNOW that this place will blow any rivals strictly due to their fair pricing, storefront size and their unique items. I had a great experience making my purchase and then my suit had a manufacturer's defect. I brought…read moreit back to the shop and the owner told me that, though it looked like a defect, she had no metric by which to trust I had properly cared for the suit. I explained my level of care, to which she reprimanded "I TELL EVERYONE NOT TO USE THE SWIMSUIT SPINNER." I replied that she had not, in fact, informed me. She then pointed to care instructions taped on the counter which I read carefully and pointed out that they mentioned nothing about the spinner at all - good or bad. She said my only recourse was to call the manufacturer myself. She provided the number and I called from in store. The TYR rep asked me the store name, and when I said Cy's she stated "they are a great customer, why aren't they helping you with this?" I repeated that I didn't understand why myself, but that was the situation. I was then told I needed to provide photos and proof of purchase. When I asked the owner to provide proof of purchase (we easily located my purchase in the system and it was less than 1 year old) she told me she didn't know how to do it. She printed a blurry screenshot and told me that was the best she could do. I then looked at the system and found the place to reprint a receipt. TYR was great - they reviewed the photos, immediately determined it was a defect, and sent me a replacement at no charge. I chose Cy's specifically because it was locally owned and (I thought) stood behind their product. I will never shop there again nor recommend it to a friend. This probably does not matter to them as, in the repeated words of the owner "we outfit dozens of swim teams," but the absence of customer service afforded to me as a customer with a defective item as well as the punitive exclamations were appalling and inexcusable.
