    Donuts

If you go early, there's lots of donuts to choose from (only donut place in town)! Really tasty and the staff was friendly and store was clean. Only thing - I wish they were open more days but not enough staff so they're only open on certain days.

I was on vacation in Port Angeles and on my last day, I saw Sasquatch Donuts was open. I am not a fan of donuts, but my partner really wanted to try it, so we decided to check it out, and I'm glad we did. We ordered a glazed donut with jam, Fruity Pebbles donut, and two square donuts with strawberry frosting and chocolate drizzle. The reason why I don't like to eat donuts so much is due to the greasy feeling I get from eating them. However, these donuts were soft and not greasy at all. I didn't feel overwhelmed eating two of them in one sitting. My favorite was the square donut - the strawberry glaze = love. Definitely a place to check out if you're in Port Angeles.

So good! Donuts were sooo moist. The pb&j jelly filled donut was my favorite so far. The Bavarian creme was also amazing.

The yogurt itself is a little runny and the topping station could use an update, but it's good for what it is in a smaller town like this. Nevertheless, I thought I'd try out a local froyo spot while vacationing in the Olympic National Park area. I came by after dinner, and they had four flavors: vanilla, chocolate, Oreo, and Dole Whip. I appreciate their creative efforts with flavors such as the Dole Whip and Oreo, but the execution was poor. I got a bit of vanilla, Oreo, and Dole Whip. They were all so icy and not creamy at all. It tasted very artificial. For some reason, I couldn't taste any frozen yogurt. Typically, with froyo, you can taste a mild, slight tartness from the yogurt, but there wasn't any. Either they stopped serving froyo, or the flavors were just too subtle. Regardless, my best analogy would be a self-serve ice cream machine from Golden Corral. The only thing that I enjoyed about this place was that it was not weight-based; you can select as many flavors and as much as you want to fit in your cup. Additionally, I enjoyed their toppings bar, where they had a whole host of options to put into your bowl, ranging from cereal to crushed chocolate bars, strawberries, and different syrups as well.

The interior is reminiscent of such establishments in the 70's the exuded comfort and treated everyone as family. The fare is varied and outstanding. New Day is the only restaurant we ate at twice while there for a long weekend. The skillet breakfast that I had the first day was amazing. The second day I had the frittata with smoked salmon that like the skillet is served with roasted root vegetables. This was exquisite. Of course the coffee which was generously refilled by the wonderfully delightful staff is brewed excellently and is such that it invites you to relax and linger, which of course not only is totally ok with the staff but encouraged.

New Day, kind of catchy to me. Place is kinda small, but the setting is comfortable with friendly service. We had a window set. Love the outdoor. I ordered a meal similar to Egg Benedict (forgot the name), it's really good. Also a classic breakfast for my friend. Can't go wrong with breakfast, can it? It's really good. Love their potato slices. Would definitely come back and have some of their lunch meals if I am coming passing by again.

A few things to correct your comments: - there were three tables were seated following me and they all got the dishes before me. One table with couple, one with four people and one at the counter. - the note I put on was not to the waitress blunt to you. I said specifically " lady with black shirt". Your tone made me felt that I shouldn't check what is my order status after 30mins wait. We came in around 9:30am Saturday and ordered traditional breakfast with French toast. Waited over 30mins, the later customers all got their dishes and next table finished theirs. When the waitress was checking with kitchen for us, a lady with black shirt came and said: "it normal wait for 30mins and you are 25mins now, still five mins to go". I am a bigger supporter of local small business, but I would appreciate if they can let me know when we arrived that waiting is 30mins after ordered. I still gave 15% tips as I can see the sorry face from the waitress - I normally pay min 20% for small business. I also noticed that we were the only Asian table during that period.
