I asked for a bouncy blow dry which was frizzy and straight, and a different person had to finish the front. It was not combed properly and the parting was all over the place so I asked to do it. To make the blowdry "last" they suggested tonging my hair, this was left on far too long. On leaving they charged for two services at £55, I had leave to attend a wedding so just paid and left as I could tell they felt they had done a great job (debatable). The tonging outcome was nice and did drop out to look wavy, but I could have just booked in for a rough dry and tongs or could have done a similar job at home, when paying for a service especially £55 for a blowdry I expect alot more. On arrival they were friendly but they were very scattered. In the middle of doing her hair the lady had a phone call to book another appointment with someone else and just left us waiting which was quite rude. On top of that she told us that my sister should have straightened her hair before arriving but we weren't told this. I need to mention that my sister has thigh length thick hair and its not too difficult to manage but I did say this to Simi when booking the appointment and she assured me it would not be more than £35. I understand her hair may have been long and thick but you go to a hair stylist for them to do a hairstyle on your hair. I would have thought that straightening hair is included in this. After finally doing her hair which by the way was not a difficult hairstyle to do at all, she suggested we go and buy some hairpins to make it look pretty. This is silly, had we been told to buy some earlier we would have. Then when paying the lady goes its £40 and I refused to pay that money because I had told her how long her hair was and how thick it was and she had assured me it wouldnt be more. She gave in and said ok. I'm not saying Simis is a bad place to go to, All I am saying is for the amount you pay to get a hairstyle done, it is not worth it. You might aswell go to a professional. They are friendly, but they could have handled the situation better by telling me what I needed to have with me or by telling me my sister should have had her hair straightened in advance (although this should be provided). I wouldn't come back here again as for the same price I could go to a professional place who would do an amazing job and with a much more professional courtesy too. Also within a few hours my sisters hair had already come out. Completely disappointed.
