I don't know how many times I've walked past and not actually gone in. In fact, I don't want to…read moreknow, because it would just make me seem like a complete fool now that I know how great this place is. I had some rare weekday time off and wanted to do something that actually counted as indulgent (well, beyond stuffing my face full of cake), so booked a facial via Treatwell (previously Wahanda). I booked on Tuesday evening for Thursday afternoon. Unsurprisingly (it happens with that site), it was a double booking. Thankfully, though, Kaldev emailed me on Wednesday morning about it and managed to find me a Wednesday afternoon slot at 4.15pm. I got such a warm welcome from him when I came in and was settled in to fill out my intake form. Kuldip (who happens to be his wife), was my therapist and brought me into the treatment room. She was very sweet and made sure that the temperature of the room was OK for me before leaving me to get ready. The facial was great - very relaxing, but felt like it actually made a difference to my skin too. She's clearly skilled, and the facial massage was just fabulous. She asks if you'd like her to chat or stay quiet and I chose chat, so left starving because I got a list of the best desserts in the area. Yum! Besides the facial being excellent and the welcome being so incredibly warm, I'll also be returning because it's their own business and they work incredibly hard to make it a success. It's worth rewarding that. And it's hardly a hardship for me to do it by having a pampering session from incredibly friendly people. Can't wait for the next time!

In 2013 due to demand and services, we moved to Somerset House, 36 Temple street Birmingham. We had a great 3 years here and the building was bought by a new developer, so we moved temporarily to Regus and after 12 months found a new suitable location 8 Bennets Hill. During our temporary relocation the period we can't thank our clients enough for their support. Terrible service…read more Booked 6 sessions, only had 3 in 6 months. Been cancelled 3 times, twice turned up and the shutters were down. Only plus is the price. Very run down and not very professional!

Horror show. I have never written a negative review but the fact that this "health clinic" is…read morepracticing is an absolute joke. Got a deal for six IPL hair removal sessions from Groupon. The reason they have no pictures on the website is because this is what appears to be a badly converted high street phone shop, with ony a banner half covering the old sign - the waiting room and two "treatment rooms" were sectioned off by a few pieces of mdf. I was horrified when I turned up but refused to judge a book by its cover. However wished I had left after I went into one of the rooms. There was no stack of towels / coverings for the bed, so can only assume the slightly damp green towel on the bed was the same used for each customer - the can't have been anywhere else - the "waiting room" was not big enough to hide an envelope, let alone clean towels. Nearly left again when she started applying the gel for the IPL laser with an actual paint brush - the ones you get from B&Q - out of a jar sitting on the side. Again, no sign of other tubes of gel or applicators, so assume this was the same pot applied to each and every customer. Bearing in mind this treatment is used for bikini lines and removal of facial hair, I won't go further. The person using the machine clearly knew nothing about the treatment. The only upside was that the IPL equipment itself seemed new and well serviced. That is the only positive! Refuse to go again, even though I paid for 6 sessions.

A friend and I went here to get our bits waxed before we went on holiday. The salon wasn't the most stylish that I'd ever been in, but it was clean so it was more than suitable. There were a few products available to buy in the reception area but we didn't buy anything. Once I was laying on the bed, calming music started to play in the back ground and the beautician got to work. She kept checking that the wax wasn't too hot which I think it really important as I have been burnt before! I was really impressed with the whole waxing and it was done as quick and as painless as possible which is all you can ask for when you're in pain being waxed!

I think it's nice when hair dressers and beauticians make an effort to have a conversation because it makes me feel more comfortable and the time goes faster. My first impression of the room weren't that good but I try not to judge a book y its cover. She began the waxing session by applying the hot wax and at first I was like "AAAHHH" and Classical FM playing in the background didn't make me feel more relaxed. Soon things got better though and I was pleased to know the treatment went quick. A few hairs were left probably because they weren't noticeable. I felt a bit uncomfortable with her bare hands touching my bare skin purely because I didn't know whether they were clean or not and didn't want to be rude by asking. So I think wearing latex gloves would've been better. The whole session cost less than thirty pounds with actually shocked me in a good way, especially because the service was great.
