I normally get my nails and pedicure done together, but this time I just wanted a Gel-X refill, almond shape, and freestyle design. I had no idea I'd leave with my favorite set yet! I've tried chrome nails before and was never completely impressed, but I trusted Queen's creative vision, and she absolutely exceeded my expectations! Watching her work her magic was honestly the best part. She started with a brown base, added chrome that transformed it into a vibrant orangey metallic shade, then layered red over it. Each step was more beautiful than the last! The final result is a stunning cherry-burgundy chrome with incredible depth and a glossy, mirror-like finish that shifts beautifully in different lighting. I seriously can't stop looking at them! I also got a much-needed cuticle cleanup, which made such a difference! My nail beds look noticeably cleaner and healthier, and they feel so much better, too. I loved watching Queen's creativity flourish and seeing her vision come together so beautifully. Between the shaping, cuticle care, and gorgeous color transitions, she truly outdid herself! Brought my niece here for a mani/pedi, and got a mani/pedi myself. First of all, the staff kept trying to upsell me -- insisting that my 10 yr old niece needed a gel set instead of regular, etc. It was so burdensome to have to refuse over and over again all the extras that I was very clear about not wanting in the first place. Second, they became so unfriendly once I told them I decided not to do the more expensive catseye polish. I wasn't even able to relax because the whole experience became so tense and awkward. Finally, my nail tech didn't seem to quite understand what I wanted. Every time I tried to explain, she over corrected, and eventually I gave up. For example, I asked for a rectangular nail shape with rounded edges. She gave me sharp square nails. I asked for her to round the edges. She filed so much they became round. The biggest difference for me has been my toenails. Before I started seeing Sandy, they were thick, discolored, and curved inward. I struggled with ingrown toenails and thick skin building up around them. I actually had an entire toenail removed by a doctor, but when it grew back, I still had the same problems. It was frustrating to go through that procedure and end up dealing with the same issues again. Sandy told me she could help manage the nail with regular maintenance, with the goal of avoiding another removal. I see her every three weeks, and her ongoing care has made an enormous difference. She carefully cleans around my toenails, removes the buildup of thick skin, and maintains their shape. Today, my toenails look flatter, cleaner, and more beautiful than I ever thought possible, and I haven't needed another toenail removal. The skincare product I've personally tried is the salmon cream she recommended for the crepey-looking skin on my neck. After using it every day for about a month, I noticed a significant improvement in its appearance. I've been so pleased with that recommendation. Her studio is another reason I love coming here. It's clean, comfortable, and private--just you and Sandy. For regular clients like me, she also keeps an individual box of tools reserved for that client's use. I really appreciate having my own dedicated set of tools; it's another thoughtful detail that makes the care feel so personal. You also know Sandy will be the person taking care of you each time. That consistency is especially valuable when you have ongoing nail concerns. She remembers my history and knows what works for me. The massage chairs make it easy to relax, and the private setting is also convenient if you need to fit an appointment into your workday or take a Zoom meeting while you're there. Sandy works quickly and efficiently while still being incredibly thorough. What I appreciate most is that Sandy cares about helping you feel healthy, beautiful, and happy. After 15 years and three locations, I'm grateful to have someone I trust this much.
