I am surprised this place isn't more highly rated! Food is very affordable and delicious. You can…read moreorder in bulk half-cooked or try a few pieces heated up. There are 2 locations - this location can walk in to order any kind of samosa, while the other location will require preorder 1 day notice for samosas that are not the potato & peas original one. I went here on a Saturday 11am and there was a good amount of people picking up bulk orders, but since we wanted to try the quality of the samosas, we ordered by the piece. Each piece is around 1-2 CAD each which is very good price. We got 1 of each (potato & peas (original), garden mix vegetables, beef, chicken, paneer, and butter chicken). We got a small tamarind chutney sauce for 0.50CAD extra. Total was around 9 CAD which is quite a solid price for a meal for 1 person (snack for 2 people). I liked their potato & peas (original) the most and all their vegetarian options are solid. The meat options are more ground meat so I'm not that big of a fan, but they're still good. It's just the value lies in the vegetarian samosas. Next time I bring a cooler and order in bulk, to enjoy at the comfort of my home for multiple meals!

I tried all the variations and I much prefer the original which has potatoes and peas. The others are ok, those with chicken or beef contain minced meat which made eating a bit messy. The paneer samosa is pretty good too. I will order the potato samosa and paneer samosa in future. The price of the samosa is also decent, starting from $1.10 or so, much cheaper than in the Indian restaurants. I don't like that the sauce is not included and you have to pay extra for that. They also charge for paper bag. This is mostly a to go place, with a couple of chairs to wait for the food. Most people ordered online to pick up.

Raga restaurant 10608 151a St, Surrey, BC V3R 1J8…read more What a pleasant surprise. We checked out Raga tonight. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with friendly service. The atmosphere and the restaurant was pleasant the music was in the background where it should be and conversations at tables next to us we couldn't hear which made the dining experience pleasant. Hubby got a glass of the Gehringer Riesling and I had the Pfaff Gewurztraminer which paired perfectly with our meal and the spice level. Started off with the Punjabi style vegetable pakoras which was different as each component was individually battered and deep fried and to be honest was excellent because you get to enjoy each flavor on its own with the tamrin sauce or the mint chutney which were fantastic. Oh and it had the cutest mini Samosas I've ever seen that were yummy. For the mains we went with the classic Butter Chicken medium spice, which was rich, creamy, and the chicken was nice and tender. On to the Rajware Gosht mild, tender Lamb cooked in a cardamom, ginger, pistachio in a cashew nut Curry. Heavy on the cardamon side but the lamb was so tender it melted in your mouth. Last but not least was the Seafood Goan mild, perfectly cooked salmon, white fish and prawns in a beautiful coconut mint Curry. Has a slight sweetness that made you crave more. Perfect for dipping you Butter Garlic Naan bread in. Of course we had a side of plain rice. We were so full we didn't have room for dessert so now we have to go back so we can try the desserts lol. Our waitress Preet was excellent and super attentive making sure we had everything or if we needed anything. Even the floor manager came over to check on us and he was super nice. Overall it was an excellent dinning experience and can't wait to go back while they have their 50% off on food till August 15th and $5 beer and house white wines. Perfect time to try out some more new dishes. Lots of parking in the front of the Sandman as well as in the back .

Definition of spicy on point. Will definitely dine here again and order out. I'm Indian and this was good Indian food.
