The tempura shrimp in the Monster Roll was not cleaned, and when I called to inform the owner/manager, his response was, "we never clean our shrimp," referring specifically to the "poot shoot" and "crap vein." You shouldn't either. If you do, your quality control is expected and only one you can trust, not there's.

The fish/meatballs are also really tasty, and I especially loved both dipping sauces they provided with that. For an appetizer, I highly recommend the Osaka Oyatsu. It's such a unique and carefully crafted dish, deep-fried tofu stuffed with seasoned ground meat. You can really tell that a lot of thought and technique went into making it. My only complaint is that the seating is a little too cramped. The restaurant actually has plenty of space, so I'm not sure why the tables and seats are arranged so closely together.

Crowded tables, shared cooked between multiple tables became a standard. Elderly host or management promised a private seating for our newborn and friends of ours (about 6 people) and said that is a full table anyway and should be ok. Getting there and confining this with him he nodded and said yes! Then split our group up, between multiple tables, and a cook was assigned 3 tables...so the cook finished one table and was about 45 min to finish show and cook, then came to us and rushed. No show, just cooked and left to the third table. This place used to be amazing for the price. It's become dirty, crowded, overworked cooks and staff inattentive. Food became sub par, ambience was cluttered and dirty.

This was the worse experience I have ever had. I am not a person who usually complains but our…read morewaitress, Alexis, and the head manager were absolutely horrible tonight. I was with a family of 5 and a family of 4. When we were seated we waited 30 minutes for drinks, including water. It took an hour and a half before they even started taking orders for our food. They opened up another room and every single family had gotten served and left before us. We were the last family at closing and we had gotten there at 7. Orders were wrong and you could tell the chef was visibly upset because the waiter did not ring in all the meat orders. He was the only person who apologized about the service. At one point 2 people in the family of 4 got up to use the bathroom. The manager walked in to check on us, noticed that 2 ladies were missing and grabs Alexis to ask if they had left without paying. I am disgusted by the service. The manager showed no type of sympathy, did not apologize, and when we asked for to go yum yum sauce, tried to charge us .50 for each. I understand that normally we would need to pay but that was the least they could have done for the night that we had. I will never step foot in this shogun again.
