Double Me Chicken Teriyaki - so good!
    Juanita S.

This is one of my favorite places to grab teriyaki chicken and great sushi! The great part is that I can use Uber Eats and get the same great service and quality of food, which saves me a trip to Brandon Mall. When I do go to this location directly, there's always a line but the service is impeccable. Stop by for a sample, but leave with dinner!

There's not much bad you can say about Sarku Japan. It seems to be a staple of the mall food court... I've had pretty consistent results at every one of these restaurants. I found myself in Brandon over the weekend and gave the Brandon store a shot. Good food. Fast, nice service. An added bonus, this restaurant takes good care of itself -- everything looks clean and fresh. You can't say that about every food court restaurant. I got the stirfry chicken with noodles. No Michelin Stars at this restaurant... But, it was good. Hot and fresh. You can't ask for much more for about 10 bucks.

I ordered a couple of rolls to go and enjoyed them! I had a sushi craving and saw Sarku on UberEats. I ordered the Rock & Roll, Tempura California Roll, and Volcano Roll. All three were delicious. The eel sauce was yummy and the spicy mayo awesome too. I would recommend their sushi!

    vegetable delight $4 & 410 calories

I ordered the veggie delight meal for $4. Very large portion and cooked well. However, it was absent ANY flavorings of Japan-just cooked vegetables and white rice. I was looking for hints of ginger or soy even. No packets of flavor even. I also ordered a $2 spring roll which was larger than most and well-flavored, but it was unclear whether it was vegetarian and ticket came out with the word "chicken" on it. Also hard to understand behind masks and plexiglass from either side. I can't fault them on price, portion or speediness but flavor is important. They do make sushi rolls but no opportunity to judge this visit. I'm also left wondering why they gave it a name that is meaningless in Japanese and using the "r" with Japanese find difficult to pronounce. The place lacks authenticity to me based on this experience in a food court with 4 other Asian food booths.

Food is always good but this past time we ordered, there were 2 long hairs intertwined with my noodles and chicken. Not very appetizing.

While this restaurant is well known for its sweet desserts, I decided to try their bento box for…read morethe first time -- specifically the chicken bento box -- and I was pleasantly surprised. The box came well-assembled: white rice topped with teriyaki chicken, garnished with rice seasoning, a side of noodles also seasoned with rice seasoning, a salad with dressing, and two pieces of fried gyoza. The gyoza were the highlight for me -- crispy and quite good. Overall, the ensemble made for a satisfying, no-fuss meal. Simple, decent, and I wouldn't hesitate to order it again. The ambiance is where this place really adds some personality. One corner of the restaurant is dedicated to DIY painting activities, making it a great spot for creative types or families. On the other side, there are claw machines for those feeling lucky enough to win a stuffed toy. It gives the place a lively, playful energy that sets it apart from your average dining spot. Service was good. All in all, a fun place for an easy, enjoyable meal

Very cute addition. Makes it more of a "third place" vibe. Three claw machines at $1/play is dangerous too. I might have to try for a gengar. I got the iced latte and it was over $8 for a regular size which is wild but this is a dessert spot, not a cafe, so I'm not mad at it. It's very creamy. Tastes like melted ice cream (not a bad or good thing). Plan on trying dessert another time.
