Homemade drink- Worth it to try over other drinks you decide in their fridge!
    Nancy W.

We went to Sarge's Subs a few days ago. I ordered the Flyboy Fancy Sub (Chicken Parmigiana) and the portion was worth the price you pay. The woman behind the counter when we came to pick up the order, she was incredibly sweet. As we were waiting on one more sub order, she's explaining to us the two large subs we got, comes with 4 sodas and 4 chips. We opted to get their 2 homemade drinks and get 2 bags of chips instead. She was very welcoming when we chatted while waiting. The atmosphere was awesome, lots to look around. We wanted to check it out if we stayed longer next time because the inside of the establishment had so much character. My Flyboy Fancy Sub was okay. The bread was toasted a little too long and the Chicken Parmigiana is made with the breaded chicken cut up in the cheese and sauce. ( my preference, I like the whole breaded Chicken more when I try Chicken Parmigiana). I couldn't finish the sub and saved it for the next day. Their homemade drink was good, I suggest you try their drinks instead of the regular sodas you see all the time. I want to try a cold sub next time. Comfortable and chill establishment, friendly and sweet service, lots of food options, parking was available around the corner and there is available seating outside. Looking forward to coming next time to try other food options and their next homemade drinks.

Superb subs! Crispy bread, fresh meat and fixings, the perfect amount of seasoning and oil and vinegar. We will definitely be ordering from Sarge's Subs again!

I love coming here at least once a week. One of the few places where I enjoy getting a cold cut sub. The prices are also very reasonable.

Eh, was not impressed. Food was ok but not great and a bit pricey for what you get. I got a Sarge half for $8+ and it didn't fill me up. The bread was a bit stale and not soft. You're better off going to Jersey Mike's or even Blimpies. On a good note service was good and subs made to order.

Basic sandwiches. Nothing special but local. Cuban sandwich needs to be updated with real pork shoulder.

It's definitely a convenient spot no matter the time of day. The menu has a little bit of everything such as pastries, coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, soups and even gluten free options. They also serve beer and wine, which I wasn't expecting. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice. The setup is mostly DIY since you throw away your own garbage and etc. But they do bring your food and drinks out to you. They also have a restroom for customers and a self serve tap water station with glasses, which I appreciated. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. It was alright, but I do think it could've used a little more flavor or seasoning.

Oh my goodness, Sandwichitos!…read more First off, North Bergen --- public parking SUCKS. It's funny: I despaired showing up at the business, seeing the limited parking, but when I was in front of the restaurant, another gentleman was there and said "just park there" --- ???? ---- turned out to be the owner! I got parking right in the front. These sandwiches have been on my feed for a long time, and each video I see they all look so amazing. I had to go with the moost-popular: the Jiu Jitsu Sandwich ($18.5). This sandwich has --- lemme see: "Thinly Sliced Steak Seasoned In Homemade Chimichurri With Caramelized Onions Topped With Extra Chimichurri". I MEAN. This was a grown-up, bougie, international millennial sandwich of the 2020's. This hit and THEN SOME. Totally recommend. To accompany, I ordered some tater-tots; nothing to write home about, but they complimented the sandwich very well. I am a sucker for a good steak + chimichurri combo, and this sandwich hit.the.spot. The inside of the restaurant is decent. Luckily, I ate at the window-side, but since it is a very popular business (from what I can tell), seating is very limited. It's a very limited space; I do see many people picking up "to-go orders". However, if you get the chance to dine-in...DO IT. Nothing will beat the freshness of the first bite of that Jiu Jitsu Sandwich. Overall, 5/5. This place has deserved the HYPE and the ATTENTION!

Someone order a Hot Italian? Here I am…read more The legendary Florentine sandwich shop achieved global fame by earning some of the highest praise in food journalism for its massive, fresh-baked schiacciata sandwiches. Google their name and "best" and get hundreds of hits, but the majors who crowned them "best sandwich" title include Saveur Magazine, the big one touted by the family; Eater NY, ranking La Paradiso the most elite Italian sandwich outside of Italy; Las Vegas Weekly, who crowned them "Home of the world's best sandwiches"; TripAdvisor, for whom the Italian original is the most reviewed eatery with a near perfect rating; and The Infatuation NYC guides who promise the execution of the crispy, airy schiacciata bread completely justifies the hype. All 17 options looked amazing, so I spoke to a regular in line, telling her I couldn't decide between "La Paradiso", the most praised (even though she informed me "mortadella is just bolonie" or the Hot Italian, which was more my style. So, I did what any gluttonous American would do and I got both. And a Diet Coke, of course. La Paradiso has thinly sliced bolonie for a savory base, with creamy shredded stacciatella cheese, with sweet but earthy pistachio cream, and a sprinkle of toasted pistachio for texture (that I didn't detect). The Hot Italian had thin, lean turkey, spicy and smoky spreadable Calabrian pork sausage, a balancing provolone, calabrian chili honey, and peppery arugula (that they claim adds crunch that I didn't detect). Were they life-changing? No. But I rank Paradiso a 8.8 and Hot Italian a 10. And because everyone is hard-working and everything is so freshly prepared and cut, it's a class act. They should seriously make a sign that says, "Can't decide? Get two!" and then give me free sandwiches on my yearly trips for the idea.
