First, there are two places for Yelp reviews for this place. The reviews are horrible on the 2nd one, as they should be. Check that out if you want the truth. Just Google Sarge's Moving Services LLC Yelp reviews. You will see two very differently rated places on yelp for this company. HERE IS MY ZERO STAR REVIEW: I went to the website to get a quote. After I filled it out I got an error message. Since that didn't work I called the number on the website around 9 p.m. to leave a message to get a call back in the morning. To my surprise, someone answered the phone. I told him that I was just wanted to get a quote. He gave me some prices, which were very high. Telling me I would have to pay 4-6 hours to load a very small 2 bedroom apartment and pay 4-6 hours to unload it. The cost was outrageous. I told him that I didn't have much to move and that it would take less time. He became angry and asked me "You know it is 9:00 at night, right??" I asked him "You know you chose to answer the phone at 9:00 at night, right? I just planned on leaving a message." I told him there was no need for the attitude. I asked who he was. He yelled "I am the F'ing owner of this company!" He answered the phone, he did not say anything about business hours and yet he blamed me for calling at 9 p.m. That is called gaslighting and the power play he made about calling himself the ogre, I mean owner, screams narcissist. I would not use this company if they moved me for free. If that man is indeed the owner, it does not have a soul. Don't do business with people like this. I think the other reviews are fake. Also the dates of the good reviews are old and months and years apart. My guess is if there was anything good about this company it was before this person became the owner. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! To my fellow military veterans and Ags, do your research and hire a different company. Our move was a simple 2.3 mile move from point A to B in College Station which took 3 trucks and a total of 10 hours because they did not have enough trucks and employees. Many of our items were damaged and or lost and to this day we are still wondering where certain items are, however I have my suspicions and I see I'm not the only one based on other negative reviews. Additionally, due to the items damaged and lost, I placed a claim and received a measly payback based on the .60/lb rule which is a larger issue with the state of Texas. I agree 100% with other reviews here regarding missing items, damaged items and the unprofessionalism with Mike and the lagging responses if any, to my questions and concerns that I had via my phone calls and text message to him. This company had moved us once locally back in 2018 and did a great job. This time we had them move us from College Station to the DFW area. For what we paid them I would of thought they would have taken better care of our stuff. My husband had some breakables that we put special instructions on and many of the pieces showed up broken. We had a very expensive picture that had all kinds of holes in the back of it. We sent them with a bag of unopened dog food and out TV sound bar worth about 100 bucks each that both me and my husband watched them move out of our house in College Station and yet never showed up to our new home. They broke our glass lamp shade and never even told us. We only figured it out because A it was missing and B we found a large shard of it that my husband actually cut his had on when it fell out of a box. We had adjustable dumbbells that were perfectly fine when they took them but now a couple plates are broken because they broke off the tabs. Seems like they dropped them or something. We also had our nice printer boxed up and it seemed to be beat up and no longer works. The most frustrating thing is one of our couch recliners is also acting up now. Also they obviously placed and stored are lawn mower on its side. It's now at a repair shop to see if they can fix it. The repair shop told us this and that's why it had oil in spots it shouldn't and is running rough. Then when they were moving into our new house they put several dents in our new walls here. When I called the boss Mike to talk to him about some of this he seemed to care and told me he would look into it and call me back but then never did. I tried calling him back again but he never answered and didn't attempt to return my voicemail. If your thinking about moving I wouldn't suggest them and there are other options in College Station my fellow Aggies. read more

Sarge's Moving Services - Movers Near Me - Bryan, Texas

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! I swear for your own sanity DO NOT! CHOOSE toddlers from a daycare, choose a pack of monkeys, choose rabid dogs, choose ANYONE BUT SARGES! We decided to choose Sarges Moving company for our move from Bryan to Amarillo at the beginning of the year. Mike (manager) was nice enough at the time and offered free boxes and a supposed discount since we were military. When signing the contract, we were only given the option of the basic coverage (which I now understand is only liability) and nothing else even though the web site states there is full coverage in different increments. Of course at signing the price was different than what was quoted but we were out of time sooooo.... Questions were asked and we were told by several people that moving our stuff would be no issue. They reassured me several times that my piano wouldn't be a problem and that they do it all the time. So, moving day comes, things are put into the truck by their employees. I was told at the time that they didn't have enough trucks working so they had to take a few trips and put my stuff into storage and then come back for the rest. Our stuff is delivered in Amarillo at the agreed upon date. As things are unloaded, I begin to see exactly how many scratches and dings are now on my furniture. Brand new $2000 tools with completely dented in casings. Boxes that are marked fragile crushed under boxes that are marked as heavy or garage tools. While the employees are unloading my dining room table, they dropped it in front of me and the corner was dented in. They of course picked it back up and put it in the dining room. A large flat screen TV with a 3-inch gouge now in the center of the screen. Piano with one of the pedals shoved up into the casing and bent at an unnatural angle and the casing of the piano is cracked. So of course, one of the employees thought he was being nice by reaching down and just bending it back to what he thought it should look like. When they moved the refrigerator in, they broke the handle. I mean seriously I could go on and on and on. At the end of them moving the rest of the items in we signed the claim info with everything that was wrong. The employees took pictures as well. We send everything back to Mike and several days go by and no contact. We are now the ones having to chase down what's going to be done to repair everything. I'm told to get someone to come out to give an estimate on the piano. We have a personalized wooden flag that's huge and missing as well. So fast forward, it takes about 2 weeks to get a full estimate of everything over to Mike. I do include pictures of the now missing flag. Weeks go by and nothing. My husband reaches out several times and it takes days to get a response. The flag is miraculously found (The hanger that was attached to the back with screws and tape is missing. So, for that to be off and the back NOT damaged it would have had to be taken off with a screwdriver so you can jump to your own conclusions about where the flag actually was). All pictures and items that were damaged were sent a second time and still nothing. It finally came to a very short time out from the 90 days I was told they had to close the claim and we were asked to send the info again because all photos were uploaded into a google doc and they didn't open it before the expiration. So, all items were sent for a 3RD time. Now here we are at the end of June (Move was in February) and we are being given roughly $300 for everything. Keep in mind the piano repairs for just bending the pedal back and tuning are over $200. My husband talks to Mike and admittedly I was enraged. I yelled and was quite verbal about how I felt about it all. And I FREELY admit it. But he, being Mike yelled back. He matched me quite nicely, their company f's up and does it with gusto their employees are perfectly within company guidelines to give back. Wish I could do that. Keep that in mind should you get mad over the damage. I was even told he had to come out of his own pocket to get us the extra whatever. Which I'm assuming is the furniture repair sticks to fix all the scratches and dents and now crumpled corners in my furniture. But still truly it was a nice gesture, I guess. Now I did end up apologizing to him during that conversation. Multiple times in fact, but never reciprocated. When I asked who to talk to next Mike stated he was done with me and it all. So here we are, thousands of dollars out and Mike being DONE. I guess them breaking others stuff does not make them liable. I guess I need to relearn what liable means. But seriously choose someone random off the street before choosing this company. ALL OF YOUR BELONGINGS WILL THANK YOU! And you wont have to be screamed at by their employees for you being upset after they did wrong. read more

The list of what went wrong far out weighs what went right. They arrived at our new location 4 hours after they were supposed to. Which meant they never left College Station until noon, which is when they were supposed to arrive in San Antonio. AND, never called to inform us. Load in was HELL. They spent hours and hours trying to fit everything into one truck, then had to go rent a U-Haul, which they proudly announced we wouldn't have to pay for. But, they did try to charge me extra for the hours they spent trying to force everything into one truck. Also, my bid was for 3 load in people but only two were there. So, OF COURSE, it took longer! There was only one minor damage to an upholstered footboard. I have called and emailed 3 times and each time have been told a claim was filed for me. That was 6 months ago, still waiting. The guys movers themselves were very hard working, careful and respectful. And, they did get us moved in. I spent hours researching the best small movers, and chose according to reviews, not price. I feel that they intentionally under bid, to get my business. The final price was a much over the bid as the contract allowed. I would never chose them again. read more
