I love seeing how different clubs in different cities set themselves up. Plus, any excuse to meet new people and play with them is a good reason. My wife had some business things to handle via zoom in the hotel room so I went over to this club myself. I had just visited the one in New Orleans a few days earlier and was excited to check this one out. Of course, there is always the waivers, fees and check in stuff when new at any club. As a single female for the night, they definitely streamlined the process. Single, attractive women that swing are treated like royalty at swing clubs. This club was no different. Once was inside, having forgotten to bring anything to drink, as this club was byob, I found myself alcohol deficient. I had to barter for drinks and had fun making trades. If you get my meaning. I found this club fun, clean and had plenty of attractive, fun and play minded men and women. The staff were all pleasant and I saw nobody pushing nor violating the rules. There was a good mix of ages from mid twenties to people in their sixties. Nobody pressured me nor made me feel uncomfortable in any way. I found four like minded women and really enjoyed their company. I only stayed for about three hours but I really enjoyed it. If I lived in the Dallas area, I'd certainly be a member and spend my Saturday nights there. If swinging is your thing or you just like to watch and enjoy the vibe, this club is for you.

A game got stuck and we dropped the ball he immediately picked it up and took care of it without hesitation. He helped us multiple times throughout our visit and was incredibly friendly every single time. Our kids absolutely loved him. He was so kind and patient with them, and they really connected with him. At checkout, he continued to be super helpful and made everything smooth and easy. Huge thumbs up for the assist, Terry! Lisa also came by and was so sweet to our daughter for her birthday. That extra kindness really meant a lot to us. Overall, fantastic service and a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back!

Caregivers can go off to work or run errands or just take a break, knowing their loved ones are not sitting around watching TV or sleeping. After waiting in line at the check-in and going through a metal detector we were directed to a waiting room where a friendly employee explained that there was a mysterious story that you could try to figure out or you could just explore. Then they led us into the room to start exploring at our own pace. It was a really cool experience and full of creatively fun art. It was definitely an out of this world experience. After spending a few hours exploring we briefly visited the souvenir shop. We didn't get anything but they do have a variety of things to purchase. Overall The Real Unreal Meow Wolf is worth a visit if you like hands on experiences with a mysterious story that you can try to figure out while enjoying the creative art work.

The "magic parlor" is in a space on Exposition near Fair Park. There's street parking or a couple of paid lots if the street is full. The space is pretty small, but didn't feel cramped with 50 or so guests. I booked my ticket online for $20 through Prekindle. You can also pay another $10 to reserve seats in the front two rows. We strolled in and they checked us in. Seats were first come first serve so we were in the very back. My friend brought in his cooler of booze, but I also noticed there were a few free bottles of wine at the front and some bottle water. Very nice! David Jessup a local comedian opened the show and was the MC all night between acts with the help of Audrey Grace who opened and closed the curtains and held up the applause sign when David was bombing (haha). There were a couple of burlesque dancers at this show. One, Bethany Summersizzle, danced a few times. The other, Jai Le Bait did crazy stunts like swallow a knife! Confetti Eddie is the main performer and he reminded me of the old timey black and white movies where the folks didn't talk. He was so cute and charming. He did a few corny magic tricks that were still very fun to watch! Popper Zander was on hand this Friday night and played a few songs of her own that went well the night's burlesque/side show theme. Overall we had such a fun night. It's kind of awesome turning your cell phone off for an hour or so and enjoying a show with live performers. Both were very good and the tricks were fun. The venue is very intimate and had only seats 50 or so - which meant that virtually all of the audience had the chance to participate in the show at some point. The show itself had several acts along with two musical interludes from the Wild Natives (who were also quite good). Afterwards the performers invite the audience for drinks at one of the bars close by. We had a great time and would recommend it.

My granddaughter had a private birthday party scheduled for her and a few of her friends. It was an amazing experience! She and her friends loved it!! Me too!! The party coordinators/servers did an excellent job taking care of us and keeping the party on schedule for the 1 1/2 hour timeframe. They started by letting everyone know the schedule of events- a small craft, a couple of games, appetizers, lunch entree and a birthday cake! The craft and a few other items were included in the party favor bags. Thank you American Girl Place for making our Birthday Girl feel so special! She'll remember this day forever!

What I didn't realize until later was that the accompanying moms would also be charged $50, making it $100 per pair. I called to clarify, and the response I received was disappointing. The representative told me, "We provide premier services for our customers--maybe you can do something another day." As someone new to American Girl events, I found this response dismissive and unwelcoming. It left me with the impression that this experience is intended only for a "premier" clientele, which was discouraging and not what I expected from a brand built around inclusivity and childhood memories.
