Costumer service and food preparation. I ordered a California burrito cut in half, mind you wait time was insane there was only 1 person in dining room. When I asked how much longer the cashier attitude was you should have asked if I had orders before yours and I was like well I only saw one person here. 1 maybe she should suggest I have certain amount of tickets before your. I worked at taco shops and the way they worked was they would do 1 phone, and if they had in person 1 in person that way people wouldn't wait that long. So I asked to cancel and get a refund the girl said your is almost coming up but didn't really want to refund. To I waited. When I got to my car the burrito was dripping sour cream dripping!! Took a few bites and threw away it was too nasty to eat. ( maybe if it where just a little bit it would of been perfect, cause the meat tasted good the only thing is exaggerated sour cream. I was going to go back but I was going on a road trip and had my newborn with me.

Sometimes you find a gem where you least expect it. Near the Lakeside Rodeo my child started complaining that he was hungry and then he wanted chicken tacos immediately so the nearest thing I saw was this taco shop in the little shopping center next to Dominos 7-Eleven in a car wash. I was at first put off by the homeless people on the ground outside the doorway, However we pushed on through and we're pleasantly surprised at the elegant little taco shop. Sarais' to be exact. We ordered three items. I had the surf and turf burrito two chicken tacos and one quesadilla supreme and I gotta tell you that quesadilla was supreme. It was huge. You had to eat it with a fork and knife and it tasted delicious. The chicken tacos with the bomb perfectly seasoned guacamole and pico. However, the surf and turf was not so surf or turf. I felt it was a lot more rice with two or three shrimps in it and some strips of meat. I could've really tried harder at that one for the size of the burrito it really left to be desired, however I believe we can try again on different items. I was really interested in the tortas so we will probably get back there soon. So if you were in the mood to step over a homeless guy, enter the taco shop, simply pleasantly surprised look no further than Saris taco shop in Lakeside across from the rodeo. I would really wish that we could do something about the homeless, but it's part of society we have to deal with as unfortunate as it is.

The businesses in this area do not help enforce the homeless encampments in the area (most businesses do but the business in this shopping area don't). The homeless urinate and defecate directly behind their business in the sand. This is the SAME sand the employees walk through to take trash in and out. This is an extreme health code violation and food safety issue. This area is also extremely sandy so the soiled sand naturally comes in contact with their business. I wouldn't eat any cross contaminated food from this business. I hope they speak with the property owners to stop allowing full homeless encampments behind their restaurant. The homeless also throws glass outside so you risk having glass thrown at your car or messing up your tires.

Came in today to get some food in my stomach. I stood in line attempting to order. The cashier may have been having a bad day (sorry). While waiting my turn someone else that was already dining there cut in front of me and she took his order without giving me a second thought. I ordered a beef taco. When did a single taco start costing $4.18? That is extremely expensive! The taco was larger than I expected however it wasn't worth the price. The meat seasoning was bland and needed hot sauce. Their sauce was actually pretty decent, but not bomb. They may have been having a bad day.. but the cost of the food for the portion you get really wasn't worth it. The restaurant itself was a nice set up with really nice paintings.

Great food! Still cranking out the good-goodies! Carne Asada Supreme burrito is enough for two-to-share. I am a huge fan of the red salsa they make on premises. The deal is the 3-chicken flautas with lettuce, sour cream and shredded mild cheddar cheese on top. Beautiful to look at, delicious to eat! Rolled tacos with Guacamole, mild cheddar and Cotija cheese on top. Yum! I have had issue with the wait for food a few times. Even after phoning order in ahead of time. Could use some improvement there. I will say the food is so good I can forgive to a degree. read more

I found Sarai's when I stopped to get a Redbox movie which is in the same strip mall as Sarai's. From the outside it looks like it is going to be a run down dirty taco shop but I was surprised to find out when I went inside that it was really nice and clean inside. The lady that took my order was friendly and the food was good. If I'm in the mood for mexican food I usually will hit up Titas. However if I'm down getting another movie or something I would definitely stop by Sarai's again. read more

My husband and I stopped by here after our hike at Oak Oasis and let me tell you... It was REFRESHING! I have never had such a deliciously moist chicken taco, the portions were big and my husbands burrito must have been a foot long. I definitely recommend the combinations. Chicken tacos and Cali burrito were YUMMY and tasted super fresh. Also, this may not be important to others, but to me the bathroom was spotless and that's really important to me, usually reflects their kitchen cleanliness. The lady at the front was so nice (I rarely experience this genuine happiness at taco shops) and that really made a difference too. Love love love this place! The best taco shop in lakeside and greater east county. The hot sauce is actually spicy, the green being the best green sauce you can find outside a taqueria. Burritos are huge and portions are good size. Their mini burritos are perfect size for kids. Great service and Lily at the front counter is just awesome. read more

The customer service of this taco shop has gone down hill over the years. I have have been going since 2009. The food is great, but since they hired the older lady in the front (she had red hair and now it is dyed gray) I don't like going there. Every time I call to place an order she hangs up on me, she is very rude and sets the tone as if I am bothering her, instead of asking if I need anything else she cops an attitude, and she forgets to give me parts of my order. When I ask for the rest of my order she acts as if I didn't pay for it. read more

People will rave about the quesadillas and rolled tacos, but this place is average, at best. Overpriced and bland, lately. 6 years ago it was o.k, now just embarrassing. Owner is laughing all the way to the bank. Lakeside lacks good taco shops, and this is no exception. The location will assure it's success, off 67 next to 7-11, but the food sucks. read more

For fast Mexican food they have yet to disappoint. Always great and they always greet you with a huge smile. ADOBADA is my fav but can be a little dry at times but still VERY good. Good prices and good food in a timely manner. What more could you ask for? read more

I normally LOVE this place. The food is delicious- the red salsa is so garlic-y and delicious. We go there at least once a week. There's been a new younger person working the register that has the nastiest attitude, she cannot get any orders correct, gets nasty when she gets shown something is wrong. She has completely ruined it for us. We will be finding a new taco shop to eat at for now on. :( read more

Paid $12 for cpl roll tacos and a chicken/cheese quesadilla. Tipped a very rude cashier, not sure why... Food came out when my friends were almost done eating theirs, I refused all the sauces they offered me and just asked for small side of sour cream, which didn't go well. They don't do that. Over $2 for sour cream to dip my $12 food into. Not coming back. read more

Despite the few negative reviews I pick up a breakfast burrito every Friday on my way to work. The burritos are good and large and priced right. Never had any of the other entree's on their menus so I can't comment on that. read more

Good food, horrible service. Just picked up food from here and the lady with the blonde hair was so rude. I had enough respect to tell her thank you when she gave me my food and she just ignored me. Great food with huge portions! Love the carne asada burrito (wet) and the chorizo burrito. In the day time it's warm in there and pretty small so its probably best to take it to go, you can call ahead. The lady who works in the morning is so nice and they have pretty good hot sauce. read more

The woman at the register was very nice and the cook seemed to carry a great attitude as well. I noticed many customer coming were returning customers which is something I always like to see. The customer service is down right disgusting! The quality of the food is never consistent the female owner at the front desk is unbareable. If you don't speak Spanish your automatically the last to get served and God forbid you ask for more than 4 hot sauce because you will definitely get the evil look and a pair of rolled eyes. I'm a paying customer and my orders have been messed up each time. We gave them plenty of chances because their close to my home. It the way the owner/ lady at front desk is just unbareable. I haven't had a problem with them until today. Make sure they understand what you are ordering because if they mess up your order it's your fault and they will refuse to fix it. Horrible business ethics. Go to cotijas. read more
