Great local spot that does dry cleaning…read more There's a very direct and efficient vibe to the place which I appreciate so whatever they lack in smiles and friendliness they make up for in great, effective work with no fills. I've never said anything because he is usually quite pleasant, but on my last visit, it was so bad that I had to return the item to him to redo, as he did not follow my instructions, and chose to do the work in a bizarre way that makes me question his intelligence. There was also a hole in the garment that wasn't there before, and when I undid the work with a seam ripper so I pin it correctly, I discovered oil stains that were also not previously there. He even argued with me that what he had done was correct. He was obviously offended that I criticized his work, but agreed to redo it. Unfortunately, he did it quite badly, and I had to tell him so. Once again, he argued, and now I will never be taking anything to him again. I would not recommend taking anything here for any sort of work unless you don't care about it at all.

I moved into an apartment close to here and thought this was perfect because I wear suits to work…read more I brought some suits to Sky Cleaners and was really impressed with their service. It's a mom and pop shop, which I am always eager to support, and the customer service was great. Really friendly, knowledgable and accomodating. Their prices are low, and they have specials if you bring in full suits rather than pieces. The owner has also recognized me from coming in every few weeks and is so nice. I brought a jacket in to get the sleeves shortened and she gave me a "special price" (I wanted to keep a buckle on the sleeve but didn't want to pay too much). They obviously treat their repeat customers well. The service is fast. They do same day work. Their hours are great - open early, late and weekends. They do a great job and I would highly recommend them. They do shoe repairs too, which I haven't tried yet.

Considering my request was both delicate and time-sensitive, I did considerable research beforehand, only to find that most dry cleaners in downtown Toronto have very mixed reviews... including People's Dry Cleaners.
