The girls did a good job on my dogs, and the dogs didn't seem too stressed out, so I call that a win. One of my dogs need anti-anxiety meds on grooming day because she hates to be groomed. My male doodle is a good boy while being groomed, but he has high anxiety when he's around other dogs, so for them not to be too stressed out is a good thing.

There was a…read moremiscommunication with the preference card recently and I was less than pleased with the grooming service provided. However, when I called to discuss it with the owner, he was more than happy to help. He went through and investigated the situation/preference cards, did not blame it on staff, all while trying to provide the best customer service he could. They were able to fit my two dogs in last minute which I appreciated and they did an excellent job. Even if it was a sub optimal groom, having an owner who works with customers to try and navigate problems and make them right makes this business stand out. Thank you!

I have a boxer pit mix, named Master Chief, and a pure blue pit named Dutchess. They are both large dogs and considered an "aggressive breed" so It's hard to find groomers that are willing to take them. I also don't like splitting them up and find it hard to get appointments on the same day, but not here. Shaggy Paws is a true blessing. I first started looking for a groomer back in 2017 and was suggested Shaggy Paws by my friend. I have been coming here faithfully since and don't have reason to go anywhere else. The staff are always sweet to both myself and the dogs. I like to think dogs are good judges of character and love that my dogs willingly walk into the back excited to be groomed. I always get "The Works" for the both of them. This includes a blueberry facial, nails, ear, and the choice between two scents. Likely even more that I don't even know about. They always come out smelling amazing, wearing cute bandannas and just looking great. The bandannas never match and they change with the season just like their front decorations. The key is in the detail and I love everything about it.

I also did not realize how indoctrinated places like this are with requiring vaccination of your pet for attendance. And then continual repeat vaccination for certain things. With all that has been unearthed about the contents of the vaccines and the side effects you would think there would be some flexibility or exemption for the owner's beliefs. This facility is not the only one I looked at and this requirement was standard in the others as well. I chose an individual pet sitter instead.
