The girls did a good job on my dogs, and the dogs didn't seem too stressed out, so I call that a win. One of my dogs need anti-anxiety meds on grooming day because she hates to be groomed. My male doodle is a good boy while being groomed, but he has high anxiety when he's around other dogs, so for them not to be too stressed out is a good thing.

There was a…read moremiscommunication with the preference card recently and I was less than pleased with the grooming service provided. However, when I called to discuss it with the owner, he was more than happy to help. He went through and investigated the situation/preference cards, did not blame it on staff, all while trying to provide the best customer service he could. They were able to fit my two dogs in last minute which I appreciated and they did an excellent job. Even if it was a sub optimal groom, having an owner who works with customers to try and navigate problems and make them right makes this business stand out. Thank you!

He listened to me tell him about my kitty, who had never been groomed other than at the vet's office, and assured me everything would be fine. Luke did a wonderful job! Ozpin looks great! They also tried to bathe him but he wasn't having it..lol! Price was very reasonable, too. Luke and The Barking Lot now have a customer for life!

I was a loyal customer for many years. However, someone tried to gain access to my computer without…read moremy permission. I brought it up to the staff and, instead of accepting that I was pursuing criminal investigation after being a victim of stalking, they began interrogating me and asking impertinent questions. Most of the walkers were extremely kind and helpful to my dogs. I hope they go to a better run business. The owner is very nosy and made numerous uncomfortable comments about my personal life over the years. I tried to brush it off because she was kind and good to my dogs. I am very saddened by these events and hope the other walkers I had good experiences with go elsewhere. Edit: I honestly am relieved not to be using these services anymore. I was already comparison shopping because they raise prices with no notice, but I was staying loyal to a company that treated my dogs well. I only became "hostile" when I started getting interrogated. No one asked a bunch of nosy dog walkers to be Nancy Drew. Michelle also cut my dog Vincent's whiskers multiple times after I repeatedly told her not to. She has consistently misgendered me every single time I've seen her in person in the last 5 years (I'm a transgender man). I'm honestly surprised she remembered my pronouns long enough to reply accurately to this review. Not LGBTQ+ affirming, though most of the staff are. Her most recent walker Heidi left dog pooped covered cloths for me to me to deal with after she didn't see the paper towels in clear view in my kitchen.

Dr. Garmin sat on the floor to play with my doggo to make him comfy with her. I also wanted to mention cause I saw some not great reviews regarding pricing. They told me they would charge me $25 for his senior well visit and the stitch removal was going to be complimentary over the phone. When I went to get charged they were going to charge me for both the visit and the removal but I brought up the phone conversation and they honored it without even checking with the staff who I spoke to. I really appreciated that. I thought that was an amazing price for both services and I appreciated how they handled the miscommunication. Great customer service!

When I called the woman who answers the phone in the office - the same one I told at the start of the year to remove me from contact, she blamed it on the boarding care side of the business. But it WASN'T, because the voicemail that I received was from the office for a follow up checkup - where he'd never been once in his life. They also emailed the same with the title of "we can't wait to see XXX again". I can't tell you what sort of grief this has caused me and no one apologized to me when I called to ask AGAIN for them not to contact me - not going back there. If they contact me again for my deceased beloved pet, I'm filing a complaint - not kidding about this.
