Unfortunately, the new appointment time was difficult for me to make, and I ended up arriving late. I completely understand that European Wax Center has a late-arrival policy and a grace period, and I respect that they have policies to follow. I accepted my part in the situation, even though the original rescheduling was beyond my control. But here's where exceptional customer service made all the difference! I explained that I was leaving for vacation and really needed to have my waxing appointment completed either today or tomorrow. I asked to be placed on the waiting list, hoping something would open up. And let me tell you, Ava delivered! Not only was she incredibly friendly, professional, and understanding, but she also followed through on her word. She took care of the situation and made sure I was able to get my appointment completed today! THAT is what I call GREAT customer service! It's not always about bending the rules or making exceptions. It's about listening, showing compassion, finding solutions, and making customers feel valued, especially when they've experienced an inconvenience. My five stars go especially to Ava and my wonderful wax specialist! I also want to recognize the other wax specialists I've had over the years. Until recently, our experiences were consistently positive. Unfortunately, since the management change, the level of customer service has become unacceptable and declined significantly. I recently spoke directly with the manager Dilai regarding a concern, I expected professionalism, active listening and a willingness to resolve the issue but instead the experience was extremely disappointing. Rather than listening and trying to understand the issue, she repeatedly interrupted and kept repeating the same statements without addressing what I was actually saying. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. The conversation was frustrating, dismissive, and completely unproductive. What made the situation even more concerning was that, despite our long history as customers, the staff seemed unfamiliar with us and were asking basic questions about my daughters that should have already been understood in the context of our relationship with the center. The manager Dilai also promised to call me back, but never followed through. A simple follow-up is a basic expectation of customer service, especially when a manager personally commits to it. Failing to do so only reinforced the feeling that customer concerns are no longer valued. The most disappointing part is that this was not a one-time interaction with a front-desk employee, it was my experience with the manager Dilai herself. Leadership sets the standard for customer service, and based on this experience, that standard has fallen dramatically. Loyal customers are the foundation of any successful business. We deserve to be listened to, treated with respect, and have our concerns acknowledged. Sadly, that was not my experience. I sincerely hope ownership takes a closer look at what is happening under the current management because the difference is noticeable, and not in a positive way.
