What a cozy little place. Love the brick walls and the soft lighting, simply great ambiance. Cool backlit bar in the back, stage up front, white cloth tables in between. We came in for brunch just as they opened at 11 am. Keep in mind that the live music apparently doesn't start until 12 pm. During our visit it was nice smooth jazz and not overly loud, so we were able to still carry on our conversations, which is a big plus. The brunch menu here is limited, but has some interesting choices. One of my guests and I split an order of empanadas and avocado toast so we could taste both. The empanadas came with fried potatoes and some sort of dip, which really made this dish. The empanadas themselves are a bit small, but very tasty, especially with some of that dip. The avocado toast came with 2 big slices of toast as well as two eggs. The toast was piled high with avocado. A truly generous heap of it. Drizzled with balsamic ... a bit too much of it for my taste, but the person I was sharing it with said it was perfect. We split a 'carafe' of mimosas, which is actually a carafe of orange juice and a bottle of sparkling. Either way, a good time was had by all. If you are going to drink more than one mimosa, it is a good idea to split a 'carafe'. The mimosas by glass are relatively small. Especially compared to the Bloody Marys. Those come in pint glasses with chorizo stuffed olives. Nice. You can get those regular or spicy. Both were deemed delicious by my guests. Service was a bit slow despite not being busy, but as long as you are not in a hurry, you'll be fine. We can't wait to check it out for dinner at some point.

White Wine flight to enjoy with dinner.

Quaint and inviting atmosphere with the added bonus of some great music to enjoy. The trifecta: food, beverages and music! Midweek evening out was a perfect evening, the meal was delicious! Chicken piccata, pasta dish and shared a Caesar salad. Due to the small size of the restaurant reservations are highly recommended.

This is a lovely addition to downtown Noblesville! The ambiance is classy and the food (mostly Italian inspired dishes) and cocktails are delicious. The bartender, Amanda, makes a delicious espresso martini. Highly recommend this as a night out for couples or groups.

Bar

Our reservation was right on time. The jazz was very good with some very skilled musicians. The atmosphere was lovely with exposed brick wall, white table clothes and velvet accents. The menu was specific with enough differentiation to make it unique. Example... serving pinsa instead of pizza. ingredients were higher end and the food was perfectly executed. The cocktails were wonderful! Mine had a hard to get liqueur. The bartender was delightful, knowledgeable, and attentive. And Sara, the owner, greeted us all.., and was doing it all. We've long needed a place like this. I felt like I was out of town and had happened upon a hometown gem!

Love!! New spot in Noblesville. The food was so good and service was great. We shared a bottle of wine (under $40!), had the tuna as an app which was served warm over a bed of arugula. The bread was amazing & we loved our meals. The food came quickly so we weren't left waiting. Katia was our server and she provided great service. Music was a nice touch & really set the tone for the evening. We will definitely be back!

Live jazz

Love this place! The jazz is really good and the food is awesome. My husband had a pizza and I had a grilled wedge salad. They both were great. The charcuterie board was priced reasonably and had awesome choices and generous portions.

This is not the place for wine people. I saw no wine on any menu at The Broken Barrel. But, for…read morereal, that's OK with me. And I say this as a hardcore wine person. I fully accept that this is a safe space for bourbon people and whiskey people. (I know: Bourbon is a type of whiskey! Just go with me here.) They have a literal wall of bourbon at The Broken Barrel. Pro tip: Look at the menu and see what they offer, but then walk up to the bar and look at the wall of whiskey and bourbon, and see what they have available that day. What they have available and what's on the menu can vary. You might see some goodies on the wall that aren't listed on the menu. If I'm not drinking wine, then I'm drinking gin. Luckily for me, there was a gin drink on the menu, so I got that: The New Gatsby, which is Hendrick's gin, St. Germain, cherry and lime, served in a tall glass with lots of ice. It was refreshing, but I kind of wish it had more gin in it! It was very sweet and light, and the perfect beverage for someone who likes light, sweet drinks. A dirty martini was also ordered, which is vodka, olive juice and bleu-cheese-stuffed olives. They make a dang good dirty martini here! It's like drinking a salty salad in a glass, if you're into that sort of thing. The Broken Barrel is a dark, cozy space, and a good place to get a drink. Keep in mind that it's 21+, so adults only! But because this bar is attached to Wolfie's Grill, you can order food here, and get it sent to The Broken Barrel.

Went tonight after a production at the Booth Tarkington and was really looking forward to relaxing…read morewith an apertif in a cozy setting. We went for a 3:00 show on a Sunday such that by the time we got out, it was 6:00-still early. It was in the 30's outside and already dark (thanks DLS time). Yet as we reached the top of the stairs to the lobby I was immediately disappointed that there was no fire lit in the fireplace. There were only three parties in the place. One was around the corner in the adjoining sitting area and may or may not have been drinking. There were two couples at the bar, where we considered also sitting. But the only empty spot for two had two dirty drink glasses from a previous patron still sitting. So we opted for the leather couch and chair in the main area just across from the bar. And that's where we waited, and waited, for almost 30 minutes, before giving up on getting served (or acknowledged). There was only one bartender, so we were fine with going up to order but communication would have been helpful. We stood at the bar while she chatted with the two couples, who'd all been served. We couldn't really figure out what she was doing as she seemed busy-ish yet wasn't serving, or clearing, or washing, and we were chatting between ourselves and didn't really give it much thought. Then she said she was out of something and was leaving the bar to go fetch it. We asked her to let us know when she was ready to serve us, and we took our seats to resume our conversation. The bartender returned after a while, and she served one of the original couples ... for another 10 minutes at least. Again we were talking so, while an irritation, it was in the background. About 50 minutes into our visit, she came over and took our drink order. This was my third or fourth visit, and I'd ordered my drink, an old fashioned, before and knew what to expect: bourbon of choice, Luxardo cherry, and a dehydrated orange slice. Ten minutes later we got our drinks. Now mind you, my friend ordered a glass of wine. Nothing time consuming about that. She noted that her pour was smaller than the other times she'd been there. Mine came with the whisky cube already on its way to melted, a broken (a.k.a. piece of) cherry and a twist. What? Where's my glorious little crunchy orange wheel of goodness? I had spied them on the bar earlier. No soup for me! Also, and I can't be sure 100% sure of this, but I tasted neither bitters nor syrup. Was this really just a bourbon rocks? It took a minute but we realized this gal cannot tend and talk at the same time. My friend commented that she had no idea what will happen when the place gets busy, as it has been every other time I've been there. We left after 8:00, after one drink, and for me, $21 lighter. Yeah, it's pricey. And the Carmichael crowd is a discriminating one. So we expected better. Much, much better.

I was greeted as I walked in, they had just opened. We did have a reservation. I will say also the parking was very easy as there is plenty of public parking on the street next to the restaurant. There is also a parking garage near that has public parking in case there are no street level parking spots available. We started with a cocktail and I had the Chaihattan, a manhattan but with chai simple syrup and walnut bitters. This cocktail was good but was a bit sweet for me. Our waitress, Ariana, was excellent. Ariana answered all of the questions we had and also made recommendations. I followed her lead and ordered the soup du jour, Chef's whim, a carrot bisque. The bisque was an excellent way to start my meal, it was creamy and had decent carrot flavor without overpowering the warmth in the seasonings. I ordered the Australian Wagyu Flank steak with an add-on of the red wine oyster mushrooms as recommended. My steak came out perfectly cooked at a medium rare. The mushrooms complimented my steak nicely and I did not leave one little bit on my plate. We also shared the crispy Brussels sprouts and really enjoyed them as well. The garlic was not an overpowering component. I also tried the filet mignon my girlfriend ordered and it was super tender and prepared equally as well as mine. I ordered a crème brûlée for dessert and the topping was awesome to break through. This is my favorite dessert and I order it every single time it is on a menu. I have had lots of good ones and lots of very disappointing ones. This one did not disappoint. They called it a double brûlée. It was a thicker topping that broke like shards of glass and those shards along with the soft vanilla custard were delicious and I would definitely order it again. I also had the Midnight Martini and it was the best espresso Martini I have had in some time. I will be making another trip back here as there were items on the menu that I want to try next time. Kudos to this spot and thanks for making the decor and soft music fit the scene.

Tony, our server, was on top of every detail from start to finish. As a result, we had a very enjoyable unrushed experience. Every food item we ordered was terrific: * Crab cakes with remoulade and corn relish were a perfect start. * Beet salad with greens, pecans & goat cheese was exceptional * The Tomato 'soup of the day' had a nice peppery accent * Eye of Ribeye was cooked perfectly to specifications - Medium Rare, Black & Bleu but with Gorgonzola * Sides of Roasted Carrots and Mac & Cheese (slices of a picante pepper added a nice heat) rounded things out nicely. * Wine list is not extensive but enough to satisfy even particular palates (I'm fussy). There were many menu items that intrigued me so a return visit is definitely in the cards.

They were very accommodating to such a large group, many of whom are not really cigar smokers. At the back of the space is a large bar with an equally large humidor behind it. The humidor attendant was helpful and patient with the members of our party that didn't really know what they wanted. We were seated at a long table near the bar, though we took up a couple of smaller tables as well. They do a phenomenal job of air quality management, even though there were a ton of people smoking, the air seemed quite clean, enough so that a non-smoker would probably be comfortable hanging out with a friend who was smoking without being uncomfortable. Though they only have a small selection of beer, they did have some fairly good options. I had a Goose Island Cherries Jubilee Bourbon County Stout (quite nice), and a Camacho cigar. I didn't have any food on this visit, but the menu did look promising, even if a bit over priced. Overall this is a very nice spot for a cigar and a drink, I will likely be back when in Indy again!
