DO NOT purchase a Groupon for Angel Food Spa in Alsip, IL!…read more I have been to this location before, and they used to be very friendly and accommodating when accepting Groupon vouchers and scheduling appointments. Unfortunately, that has completely changed. I recently tried to schedule an appointment using a Groupon, and I was told that they no longer accept Groupon and that I would have to pay cash. When I explained that the Groupon website does not list any restrictions regarding specific days or payment requirements, the gentleman became visibly frustrated in his tone and told me Groupon appointments were only available on Mondays and Tuesdays. After I questioned this again, he suddenly offered me an appointment for the following Sunday. However, when I asked for a time after 2:00 PM, he refused and said 11:00 AM was the only option. What frustrates me the most is the inconsistency and the attitude when I simply asked about the restrictions. The Groupon clearly states that the offer has limited availability, and requires contacting the business at least 24 hours in advance. It does not specify that appointments are limited to Mondays and Tuesdays or that Groupon vouchers are not accepted. If a business does not want to honor Groupon offers, why advertise them in the first place? Customers should not have to deal with changing rules, conflicting information, or an unpleasant attitude just because they purchased a promotional offer. It's disappointing because I previously had positive experiences here. Unfortunately, after this interaction, I would not recommend purchasing a Groupon for this location. Be very careful before spending your money! I do want to clarify that the massages themselves are very good, and I have enjoyed the services I've received here in the past. My disappointment is not with the quality of the massages, but with the inconsistent Groupon policies, the difficulty scheduling appointments, and the way customers are treated when trying to redeem an offer. It's unfortunate because they provide good massages, but the experience of trying to use a Groupon has become unnecessarily frustrating.

Most importantly, she knows that different hair textures are not treated the same when it comes to waxing (something that one of her coworkers didn't understand when I went in on a day that she was not there). She leaves informative notes on your chart for reminders for herself and others. She is the best, she gets the job done extremely well and everything is so clean! She is also big on skincare so she will recommend routines and help you in any way possible, that's the importance of going to someone who has the knowledge!

I had a prenatal massage with Nora and I couldn't recommend her more…read more My midwife recommended Nora/Mama Massage to me when I was 41w3d pregnant and preparing for an induction at 42w0d. Obviously I was running out of "prenatal" time! Nora was able to accommodate a same day massage. She was so friendly and helped to calm this semi-freaking out very pregnant lady. Her massage was very skilled and I felt immediately comfortable with her. While we chatted during the massage, I could tell that she could easily flex and provide a more reflective (read: less chatty) service as well. I found that her work on my hips and joints definitely prepared my body for my impending labor...which started spontaneously the very next day! I credit Nora's massage for assisting with my pain med-free birth--I was easily able to labor in a number of positions without joint discomfort. I wish I had known about Mama Massage prior to the day before my labor started! I think that more frequent prenatal massages would have helped with my lower back pain. If I have another baby, Mama Massage will definitely be part of my prenatal care/pampering!

This was my second visit to Massage Envy for both a massage and a facial, and I want to be clear…read morethat the quality of the massage itself was excellent. The therapist was very skilled, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere is generally calm and welcoming. However, I do have a significant concern regarding session timing. My massage was scheduled for 11:00, but I wasn't taken back until 11:05, and then needed additional time to change. Despite this, my massage ended at 11:55. A 60-minute massage should reflect a full 60 minutes of hands-on service, and in this case, it did not. This made me feel like I wasn't receiving the full service I paid for. In addition, there was loud talking and laughter in the hallways during my session, which disrupted the relaxation experience and pulled me out of what should have been a quiet, calming environment. This review is not a reflection of the therapist's skill the massage itself was truly great but rather feedback on time management and noise control, which are important parts of the overall experience. I hope this is taken as constructive feedback, as addressing these issues would greatly improve future visits.
