I have been seeing Dr Ruof for about a month now. I had suffered a shoulder injury from a car accident in September. Dr Ruof recommends getting adjusted three times a week for six weeks and we're nearing the end of my fourth week of treatment. The pain is starting to subside and the soreness comes and goes but the adjustments are phenomenal! Not only do they release pressure in the area that cracks, but you feel release in sinuses as well, which is a great feeling during the dry winter months when we're prone to getting sick. Dr Rouf was great even though I was scammed out of $100. I went in for a "Free Consultation" and left very happy at first. Then i received a bill in the mail for $270. When i called the office, I was told that there was a transition from a free consultation to an actual visit and they tried charging my insurance. I was shocked and blindsided by this because the receptionist told me she was going to see what my insurance covered... Never was there talk of submitting a claim. They credited me $170 but stuck me with $100 bill and I never had any service done. Very unprofessional and it seemed like they've done this scam before because she knew exactly how to handle it. read more

I saw all of the great reviews for this Chiropractor and thought I would go here. Upon arriving I noticed that there were two individuals working there. And instead of Dr. Ruof being my doctor which is the reason I came here in the first place. Instead, I received care from an individual that just joined about a month ago. I did not mind it at first and thought I would still give it a try. Sadly, my treatment plan consisted of 2 minor "adjustments" if you even want to call them that. I did not feel as if I was just adjusted nor did I hear any cracks. Upon him adjusting me is when I noticed that he may not know what he is doing. This is coming from an individual whose mom received Chiropractic care and was fully aware of how a adjustment should look. It's actually quite sad because this place has great reviews. But it went from being all about quality to being about quantity. I also did not enjoy seeing beds in the hallway where the individuals from the waiting room can see you laying there. Another aspect I did not like was being worked on while he was attending to other patients at the same time. After numerous visits I had felt no difference in my overall health and back pain. And instead I am actually having more pain now then before I had gone here. I suggest you find yourself a Chiropractor that will take time to speak to you and adjust you properly. Let me start by saying as going to see a chiropractor for the first time was extremely nervous!. May back was bothering me to the point I couldn't sleep or rest comfort they out the day. Called to make an appointment with front desk, was friendly and accommodating as they will work to fit you in around your schedule. Been seeing the good DR for a while now. I was diagnosed with a badly herniated L-5 -S-1 and was told surgery was the only option left after numerous heavy dose steroid injection and Physical therapy. I had never been to a chiropractor before and thought it to be a bunch of hocus -pocus. However, the severe pain, abnormal gait, and not being able to function as an adult was not an option for me. Dr. Rouf's reps had come to my place of employment and I figured I had nothing to loose. Told me everything up front, cost, procedure, history, ETC. No surprises from the business end. My only surprise was with my results! Having thought the business of "cracking backs" was nothing more than a medical goof -off of a profession, I still gave the good doctor a try mainly because he was extremely genuine in his conversation with me on our first meeting and has maintained that till this day. Together as a team, we have achieved and even surpassed our goals. Not only can I function as an adult again, I have been able to go back to the gym, lose 30 lbs (the old fashion way), and improve my overall health, simply because I can move again. Sure I have good and bad days with discomfort, but with advise, education, and always being able to get a last min appointment no matter how busy the clinic is, have all be instrumental in me maintaining a normal life. Did I feel 100% after my first adjustment.. No. If you want instant gratification, go see a palm reader! Did I feel better after a few weeks? Absolutely! The Dr.'s motto is to keep people doing what they have always done and will never ask you to change your life style, but common sense also has a time an place in the recovery process. In my opinion, If you got hurt doing something, prob need to stop doing "that" for a little while and or perhaps inquires as to if you are even "doing it right" in the first place. Lets keep it real people.. Medicine is not magic! It all takes time, patience, and obviously the right individualized treatment plan. The People at this business don't treat it as such, Not one bit! You are life long friends the moment you step foot in there! I once told Dr. Rouf what I used to think about his profession, was he offended...No.. He simply replied with " I guess we are all that its cracked up to be." Corny, yes, but that is these guys, If you are uncomfortable at this office, its probably you.
