Funny thing is I heard the guy on next table ask our waiter for butter and they never got it either. We ordered red Sangria that looked more like a peachy color but it was tasty none the less. There were some cut up fruit in it that was nice. I decided on eggplant rollatini as an app and my wife had baked clams. The eggplant was good the filling was tasty and the sauce was good. My wife was not crazy about the clams as they were soggy not crispy on top and they were very small. A couple were no bigger than a quarter. I got the flounder oreganata. It was small and thin tasteless and came with mashed potatoes squeezed out of a pastry bag and some vegetable medley consisting of a few string beans and a piece of broccoli with a sliced carrot. My wife got the branzino which she requested deboned. We have had branzino boneless in several places before. Never did it come out in pieces laid out on a plate like this. Like my flounder it was a very small portion. The lemon seasoning was in a separate dish for her to put on herself. She didn't like it and only ate what she did because she was hungry. I finished it for her because I was still starving as well. Her fish was supposed to come with potatoe salad ? I asked what that was he said cold potatoes ! She opted for mashed instead because they did not have baked potato to sub. I was actually shocked and disappointed because on yelp the food looked much better and the menu we were given did not list a lot of selections at all. As I was leaving I saw a woman with lobster and seafood dish that looked delicious but it was not on menu and not offered as a special. I was baffled. We did not ask for coffee or dessert. We could not wait to leave. Thank god we sat outside there was a screaming toddler inside the whole time we can hear from front. All in all for a place near the water with a supposed reputation for seafood we were deeply sorry we went there. My only regret was we forgot to take pictures of the food for the review.

I had the Burrata Salad followed by the Branzino--both were fresh and flavorful, and the portions were huge! I couldn't even make a dent in my main dish. My husband enjoyed the crepes and the seafood linguine, and he was just as impressed. The kids' menu was a cute touch, especially with the clever dish names. When I asked my 10-year-old what she was having and she replied, "I don't care," I was caught off guard--until I looked at the menu and saw that "I Don't Care" was actually the name of the mac and cheese! So creative and fun. Drinks were great too--strong and satisfying for my husband, and I was happy to see a solid mocktail selection for non-drinkers like me. The only downside? While I appreciate a fresh start, I have to admit I was devastated when I found out my favorite dish, the Angry Lobster, was gone. I know restaurants evolve and menu changes happen, but this wasn't just a few tweaks. To me, it felt like a complete overhaul. Almost all of my go to dishes disappeared, and the menu now offers fewer and some new options. Part of me understands the decision, but another part of me is wondering, why fix what wasn't broken (in regard to food options). Since my favorite dish was no longer an option, I decided to branch out and order the Chicken Baci. It wasn't bad by any means, but it just didn't live up to what I've always loved about Baci. I also tried my friend's Manager's Special pasta. It was good, but it still didn't give me that same "I can't wait to come back" feeling that the Angry Lobster always did. Unfortunately, there isn't anything on the current menu that really compares. Now, if I were rating this place based solely on service, it would be an easy 5 stars. The staff were just as welcoming, attentive and friendly as ever, and they truly made the experience enjoyable. As for the food, I'm sad to say that this restaurant has slipped off my list of favorites for now. Maybe one day they'll bring back the Angry Lobster, and if they do, I might just have a change of heart. That said, I still encourage you to give this place a try. It was one of my favorite restaurants for a long time, and everyone's taste is different. This is simply my experience and my honest review.

I can see why. I was greeted promptly at the door when I entered. Given my choice of table to sit at. Dining room is very nice. Spacious and white table cloths on all of the tables. I ordered the large lamb shish kabob platter. More than enough chunks of lamb. Not tough, very flavorful. It came with rice which was also very flavorful and a very tasty salad. A condiment plate of a yogurt dressing and also a spicy red sauce was brought out first along with a basket of warm bread of some sort that was also very good. You can order the shish kabob platters in a small size also which comes with half as many chunks of meat. I got a baklava assortment (6) to go and ate half today. There were 3 different kinds and all were good. Note: I was the only diner when I entered a little after 6. Not sure why as the food was delicious and the atmosphere is very nice. Maybe Tuesday is a slow night for dining out on Staten Island. Quite a few folks trickled in later for a dinner meeting in the back dining room. Lastly, my server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I will definitely return next time I am in town.
