He deconstructed a stair…read morerailing, repaired stair nosings, framed new walls in an existing space, installed trim and base on said walls, framed and trimmed out an interior clerestory and transom window as well as built a door jamb and frame for a custom door that my husband built.  Alex's attention to detail and ability to quickly problem solve allowed us to let him take the reigns for what, otherwise, would have been a tedious process with an architect. Moreover, he was very accommodating in respect to timing. We had to split up his work so that we could hang and mud drywall after his initial framing. He was on site for a total of four days split into two chunks, at the end of which he left a spotless job site on top of tidying up after himself every day. I would hire him again in a heartbeat and intend to for other projects we have in mind.

Awful experience working with G&G and particularly the owner Ephrem. Initially everything was fine…read morebut after his team put the doors on the cabinets two of them weren't level and it looked bad. No big deal, easy 10 minute fix that Ephrem said he would take care of. I chased him down for EIGHT WEEKS to come fix it. Finally I was fed up and told Ephrem I was starting to get pissed, and he called me and BLEW UP at me. He started yelling at me and cussing me out, saying that 'he doesn't sit in front of a f**king computer all day like you do' and that 'you don't buy cabinets from f**king Home Depot, have someone install them incorrectly, then yell at Home Depot to come fix them". The burden was on him to fix, not my contractor because HIS team installed the doors, NOT my contractor. I asked him what the name of his company was and he literally said 'that's none of your business'. I was floored that I paid HIM, HIS guys made an error (a very small, easily fixable one), and HE promised to fix it, ignored my requests to come out, then I expressed my frustrations and HE yelled and cussed ME out. Shouldn't it have been the other way around? Is this how he treats all his customers? After eight weeks the door finally got fixed. I'm not suggesting anyone do or don't do business with him, but be mindful that if something needs fixing after the work is done he'll be very reluctant to help. *not sure why my profile says San Fran, I'm in Chicago.
