Just paid $3260.00 for a tune-up clean all the fuel system and replace the alternator after driving for 100 miles the check engine light comes back on giving me the same code that I took it in for plus they charged me 175.00 for the diagnostic fee which all others waive when repair work is done.Call for management wouldn't come out to talk to me; is this how you treat your customers? Maybe if you wanted more customers don't add on ridiculous fees. Legally car dealerships in the United States are not allowed by any means to add on an inspection fee it automatically is included in the MSRP price due to the fact that the car will be deemed unsafe to drive especially if it is considered certified pre-owned. Dealer warranties are optional and you cannot legally force someone into it. On top of that the acid etching and Bluetooth tracking are also optional and legally cannot be forced on someone. I would like to also state that most if not all of the mandatory fees must be listed in the MSRP due to the FTC's CARS rule which again applies to the whole United States. From what I was quoted all of that added up to an extra 4 grand in fees and add ons which I do not legally have to pay for. From our discussion they claimed that we could not finance a car under ten thousand dollars even tho we were planning on putting a great sum down. This is false there is no legal limit on financing limits overall but does vary depending on the bank loan and their rules. For this specific car though we should not have had any hold back in the financing as I do have all of the necessary requirements and a little above. read more

Rating 1 Star (0 if I could) I purchased a brand new 2025 Jeep Compass here in September 2025 for $47,000, putting a massive $20,000 down payment on the vehicle. Within the first two weeks, the car required service. It was in the shop three times within two months (with only 1,300 miles), and the service department explicitly confirmed there was no fix available for the issue. The General Manager, Raj promised to "buy the car back" to make it right. That was a lie Instead of a proper buyback or Lemon Law return, they treated my defective, 2 month old car as a standard trade-in. They valued the car at only $21,000 a $26,000 drop in value in 60 days for a mechanical failure that was their fault. The Result: _My initial $20,000 down payment was completely wiped out to cover the "negative equity" they created. My monthly payment increased by $100. My loan term was extended by another year. I received $0 towards the replacement vehicle. When I confronted the General Manager, Raj about my missing down payment he told me they discounted the new car by $3K" and that I "should be happy that he stepped in to help." He claimed there was nothing else he could do This dealership sold me a broken car, refused to do a proper manufacturer buyback, and used the opportunity to steal my down payment and lock me into a more expensive loan. This place is a dump! I bought a Chrysler Pacifica from these guys in 2020 (2017 model). Every time I go to the service department, they come up with useless things to work on with at least $3K bill every time. Most recently, I kept my car at the dealership for a coolant link. Yesterday, my daughter went to Sansone Auto Mall on Route 1 in Woodbridge to get an oil change for her father's RAM truck. The woman at the service department told her to drive the truck inside. My daughter politely asked if someone could help because the truck is large, the space was tight, and she is not used to driving that vehicle in such a small area. Instead of offering assistance, the employee responded with unnecessary disrespect, saying "You don't know how to drive? Unbelievable." along with other rude comments. This level of disrespect toward customers is unacceptable. And on top of that, today I called the service department to speak with someone about what happened. The girl who was standing next to the employee who mistreated my daughter began yelling at me over the phone and then hung up on me. I am shocked by how unprofessional and disrespectful the staff is, both in person and over the phone. I have tried multiple times to speak with a manager, and no one returns my calls. If any manager at this dealership had even a minimal level of professionalism, they would contact me and address this situation. The service advisors are thorough and give genuine advise. Also, used it during covid spike and they took all covid related precautions and followed all cdc guidelines. Seen a truck I was interested in and salesperson helped get it down to where my limited finances would be able to pay the monthly payment fee and my insurance. as had a certain amount of money to play with and in- formed I couldn't go any higher. So, I was quoted a monthly guaranteed price that they worked it down to & it worked with my insurance amount. After driving 3 hours one way to pick up the vehicle as the salesperson got Co. to wave the $3,050.00 down payment & added it in to the price, I was looking at $34,500 & starting my payment in 30 days from pick up, I was sent to the finance dept. to finish the deal and get my truck. well, the truck I was interested in seeming to have no added comport features which would give one some satisfaction of a warranty buying nothing covered for any grace period & the finance dept. was just another location within this dealership to make more money by selling those comport features one would get for a year or six months as a bonus for making the purchase like coverage on tires or if not liking car could return in several days the finance dept. tried to add in coverage of tires and rims which would of cost an Add'll $15,000+ on top the $34,500 sale turning a $29,998 truck + tag's, Tx's etc., to $34,+++.00 which was agreed upon by dealership into over $50,000,whereas $180.00 more a month coverage on tire's & rims and extended the payment's from 6 yrs to seven years trying to get it back down to my monthly payment of knowing of what I could afford ! The way finance dept. was talking this was included, until seen original price and the tax's tags etc., which I knew about! But then jumped from $34, +++ to over $51, +++.00 to cover tires& rims . After dealing with the situation, & telling the finance Dept. of whom i thought was to finalize the deal with bank and not be a salesperson instead of a finance advisor to squeeze more money out of you and or totally disregard your statements of your financial situation and finances. I walked out not buying the truck and clearly stating when leaving to salesperson that I was NOT! going to buy a $29,998 truck for $50,000.00 & the deal was 34,500 & not over $50,000// all of sudden on way home i get email that finance dept. understood I didn't want the extra coverage of $15,000.00+ more on my truck., and wanted me to return at later date for the original sale? I totally felt I was being con into buying something or adding something that was totally uncalled for just so one could get a bonus, or Co. could make more than originally agreed to. I was going to deal with extra's wiped from sale and then choose to not accept at all , going through with sale as the ""deceitfulness"" instead of just doing what was supposed to be done with the first agreement through salesperson got the better of both of us. I would like to start by saying that I was a customer back in 1994 and was mislead/lied to by a salesman on a lease deal. I vowed to never go back there. So after 30 years, I decided to go back and give them another chance. I was in the process of buying/leasing a Jeep. My salesman was very good and I would certainly recommend him. However, I chose to cancel this deal for a different reason. I gave an initial deposit on Oct. 2024 and as of today, Nov. 09,2024, I have yet to receive my deposit. This was not a signed contract only a deposit. I have called my salesman at least 5 times requesting a refund. I have spoken to a supervisor two times and still have gotten nowhere. I have since put in a claim through my credit card company. This is a shame that a customer has to go through this with this Sansone Auto Dealer. More than disappointed with this Dealership. I am 50 years old, and have been buying / leasing cars for 30 years. I've dealt with the best and the worst when it comes to salespersons, but Sansone employees really shocked me. I honestly thought that when I walked into this dealership, I was dealing with people who had integrity. I initially thought they were being honest and true. The Sales Team pulled a "bait and switch". They let me test drive one vehicle and tried to sell me a completely different vehicle. I negotiated a price and down payment on a Wagoneer I test drove. I even went back and forth with the salesman (Oscar) about the details of the vehicle, including questions about options and features. (I can share the correspondance via texts). I came on Saturday 8/31, put a $3000 deposit on the lease, and they told me to come back Tuesday because the vehicle had to get detailed and go through final inspection. Come Tuesday, I received a phone call from the manager "Raj" asking me If I wanted the "L" or the regular Wagoneer. I explained to him that I wanted the vehicle that I test drove, and in turn, I was advised to come in and discuss this further. When I returned to the dealership, I knew something was wrong because both the Raj and Oscar took me into the finance manager's office and closed the door behind them, a tactic that I did not expect. They tried to explain that they calculated the deal based on a different vehicle, and that I would have to pay an additional $115 a month in order to take the vehicle I actually drove. They did confess that they made a mistake, however they did absolutely nothing to rectify the matter. They didn't try to make it right whatsover. Instead, they let me wallk out without any further discussions, saying there's nothing they can do. You have to understand that this is quite frustrating. Going back and forth with different dealerships, looking at different vehicles, then settling on one of them only to find out you've been duped. The worst part is that over the weekend and yesterday, I've received other phone calls from other dealerships, only to decline their offers, letting them know that we've gone in a different direction and made a purchase already. I hope those reading this can grasp how frustrating it is to start all over with a vehicle searches. The worst part is that my current lease is up and I have to return my vehicle this week. I know there are car dealerships with shady buisness practices, but I did not expect this dealership to be one of those. Raj (general manager) boasted on how he gave me such a great deal, including how he went to lunch with Mr. Sansone and that Mr. Sansone personally approved this deal. Well if that's the case I told him to call Mr. Sansone and see what we can do about this blunder. Of course the programmed response was there is nothing anyone can do. I do not write reviews, but I thought you should be made aware of the way this dealership had handled this matter and their current buisness practices. Customer service training is needed. I called Friday and made an appointment for my Wagoner to be serviced, told to bring it in first thing Monday morning. I got there and was told I had no appointment. Then, I was told I would have to rent (to be reimbursed by Chrystler in a week to 30 days but who wants that hold on their credit card with ina vehicle b/c none were available. I would have someone let me know in 24-48 hours what the diagnostics report is. 72 hours later and a high car rental rate later still no word. Why do I have to schedule an appointment to bring my vehicle in and allow the service department to hold my car for so long for a diagnostics that takes 4 hours at most, based on research and what I've been told. If proper scheduling takes place diagnostics could be handled more efficiently and car owners would know sooner what the problems are and not have to be without their vehicle for 2-3 days, if not necessary. Please follow up with more than, "The technician is still working on it." Don't give me a way to reach out by text if you aren't going to respond or update me either. Most dealerships I've dealt with give some for of notification by the close of business each day. Not here. Each brand on this lot/auto mall should have their own loaner car fleet so that each customer has a vehicle or at least a way to return home as a courtesy. Instead, all brands operate off a limited fleet and not every customer is afforded the option of that convenience. I did finally speak to someone who was able to provide information and let me know my vehicle is ready for pick up. Prior to requesting, "putting my foot down" for answers, I was told my point of contact was not in today. Had I let that go I never would have learned that the work had been completed and the vehicle is ready for pick up. One day less in rental fees. read more

Buyers Beware! If you are looking to buy a new car shop elsewhere. Our family had the most unpleasant and upsetting experience purchasing a new 2024 Hyundai. From the salesperson who didn't know much about the car we were looking at, to the finance person who did his best to talk and talk instead of explaining anything, to the Sales Manager who (I believe) purposely misled us regarding the final price of the car, the entire experience was just awful. We were told by the sales person that the car was going for the MSRP, that there would be no negotiating that price. We were finally able to get them to drop the price by $1500 (supposedly a "Labor Day deal" that had expired). Once we arrived home and looked over the paperwork we realized the final price made no sense. After going back to the dealer the following business day we found that they had added: a warranty for $2495 that we did not want, a markup above the MSRP of $1995 that was NEVER mentioned, and a Lojack system that they claim was already in the car that we do not need. The manager was very rude and confrontational. They finally agreed to remove the $2495 warranty but refused to remove the other added charges. Still waiting for confirmation that the charge was actually removed. They also NEVER provided us with any document showing all the included charges and the final sale price. We had to ask for that on our second visit and still haven't received it. Calls were made to Hyundai Finance but we are still waiting for a resolution. We have purchased many new cars over the years but have never had such a bad experience with any other dealership. Sansone made forms with my full name, my home address, and my phone number on them and left them in the car knowing that the car was to be auctioned by insurance. This information was then found by someone else and used to contact me without my consent. On an earlier occasion, I called them for a week trying to get the plates back from the totaled car. Finally, I just showed up and found the car myself on the lot. I pointed it out and they handed the plates to me without any request for ID or verification that I was the actual owner of the totaled car. I brought all of this to the attention of a manager who denied any responsibility and would not acknowledge the breach of privacy or unsafe handling of the license plates. If only zero stars was possible...I was told that the diagnostic charge of $150 would be applied to any work that I had done. I asked at that point if it could be applied to a portion of the recommended work and the manager told me yes. I had one of the recommended repairs done but they did not apply the diagnostic charge. So I ended up charged $270 to replace brake light bulbs. The service manager did not call me back when I brought this up the first time and the service center receptionist kept giving me the runaround. She told me multiple times that I declined all of the repairs and I kept reminding her that I had the brake lights job done and was charged extra for it. Please stay away! I'll try my best to make this as short as possible. My car has been in and out of the service dept. for 3+ months dealing with an "ABS problem. From day one it's been nothing but a nightmare and countless $$$ on repair costs which never ended up fixing the problem. After 3+ months, I picked up my car when they called and said it was ready and as soon as I drove it in the parking lot to leave the breaks went all the way to the ground and felt worse than when I took it in. As per the technician, he said I need to drive it 100 miles so that the ABS system can re-teach the breaks (really?) as unsafe and scary as it sounded to me, I drove it around a little and it only got worse, it was unsafe to drive but I drove 300 miles, and still nothing, so I took it back and after the diagnostic check, they said I needed to replace all the breaks & rotors, (I had just replaced them last year) but, I went ahead and spent the $$ to get them all replaced, flushed etc. and still the same issue. Took it back yet again and they said the "hub bearing" was cracked. Didn't they see this before, when they had my car for nearly 4 months?! Now they want more $$ to fix hub bearings and I just feel like its abuse at this point. They say they have a "Break specialist" there and he still hasn't been able to figure out what's wrong, he just has me dumping more and more $$ into the car for repairs I don't even need. I will be contacting the better business bureau to resolve this as this has costed me a lot of $$ a lot of time spent going back and forth a lot of frustration & headache having one less vehicle in the household and still no fix. 10 years ago I went to buy a truck there. They quoted a price, went to buy and suddenly the price is several thousand more than the quoted out the door price I got from them. I stayed away from them for a decade (bought many cars since then for family) but I thought I would see if things changed. They haven't. Got a price online from them and when I called to confirm, they added 4k to the price with no reason other than they said if I came in now, they might be able to help a little. Truly dishonest even for a car dealership. I went to Bridgewater Kia, fast transaction without the nonsense, got my car at the price I wanted and even a fair price on my trade in. read more

Used car was advertised at $24,950. I was paying cash and ready to purchase. The salesman comes back with a price of over $30,000. Some of this was taxes, which I expected. Not even sure what all the other charges were. The salesman said "vehicle packages." Seems these should be included in the sticker price. I clearly told the salesman my budget was $25,000. Wasted hours of my time at this dealership. I would never have even visited if I had been told the price of the car was $30,000 instead of $24,950. read more

2 hour wait for basic oil change no more than 3 people ahead of me no response when I asked how long and no customer service at all!!

I use to go to the Toyota service dept in Hillside for service. After someone stole air pods out of my car, I refused to go there anymore. I calle Toyota and they recommended this service center. I went and was serviced by Alex. He was super patient (I had to vent about the other dealership), professional and overall informative. He informed me I had a recall that needed to completed and made it all happen under one hour. Thank you, Alex!!! read more

This is one of the worst car dealers in NJ. Sales guys behave like they manufacture cars. They promise one price via email, and find excuses to raise the price once you go there. Also don't buy extended warranties from this place; you will regret later. read more
