I was in search of a surgeon who would remove it and scheduled an appointment with Dr. O. (as the office staff refer to him). I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a professional in all of my 66 years of life on this earth! Every statement he made was a direct insult in response to my telling him that the bone loss was causing the implant failure. He told me 'you are just repeating what you heard. We all have bone loss. You have no idea why you are in pain and it shows a lack of intelligence for you to say you know what it is! It could be something else'. He was cold and callous and expressed no compassion for the fact that I have been experiencing intermittent pain for 10 months. I walked out of that office humiliated and dejected. I cried on my way to the car and needed 10 minutes before I could compose myself to drive home. I have since gone to a periodontist who told me the answer was simple. As I already knew, the implant needs to be removed and a bone graft done. I believe I was a victim of sexism and ageism by this 'so called professional'. Also, Jaret, his assistant who was very kind to me prior to the doctor arriving, just stood by and seemed unphased by his behavior. I have taken the time to write this as the public needs to know. Thank you for reading.

My wife had a simple out-patient…read moreprocedure performed to address some bone that was poking through her gum as a result of teeth grinding. Dr. Klein, knowing that my wife was a diabetic, declined to provide my wife with antibiotics. There is absolutely zero reason that Dr. Klein made this choice, particularly as diabetics are far more highly susceptible to infection than the ordinary patient. Antibiotics are non-addictive and posed no harm to be prescribed even as a precaution -- still, Dr. Klein declined to offer my wife this simple dignity. A day after my wife's procedure, she was in an immense amount of discomfort and pain, and her swelling had grown well beyond just the exterior site of her procedure. When we called Dr. Klein to explain what was going on, his response was that he 'wouldn't be prescribing any further pain medication', which we were not asking for. Dr. Klein treated my wife as drug seeking. Dr. Klein had no concern for Abby's increased swelling and did not bring her back into the office until the following Monday, at which point, my wife was septic. Dr. Klein tried to clean up the mess he had created by bringing my wife back and reopening the incisions he'd created, and put in drains that, the surgeons at the hospital later indicated served no purpose. Dr. Klein then, finally prescribed my wife antibiotics and Vicodin. Because, as you can imagine, I had zero faith that Dr. Klein had my wife's best interests at heart, I took my wife to our primary care physician for advice. When our doctor couldn't find Abby's airway, I rushed my wife to the ER, where she was taken for emergency intubation and was treated for sepsis, and underwent two additional surgeries. Her throat was so swollen shut by the time she arrived at the hospital they had to use a pediatric tube, as a standard, adult sized intubation tube wouldn't fit. Dr. Klein's advice, at the second time we met him, was to wait until the next day to take Abby to the hospital. If I had taken his advice, my wife would be dead. As you can imagine, a year later, my wife is still dealing with the health impacts of Dr. Klein's lack of care. Dr. Klein's choice not to prescribe my wife antibiotics was not a violation of the standard of care - but remember this: the standard of care doesn't protect the A+ doctors, it defends the F- doctors Like Dr. Klein. When we went to get my wife's medical records from Dr. Klein, he did not apologize to my wife, and in fact tried to bring her back into an exam room. He also had the audacity to charge us for her medical records, which was an astonishing insult to immense injury. Dr. Klein is not just a reckless practitioner, he is a careless person. Avoid this practice if you value your health, and your life.

Dr. Klein was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. He numbed me up good I didn't feel anything really! I must've made a face because one of the other nurses grabbed my hand to comfort me. It was a nice touch , it's now 24 hours later and I've taken one Tylenol in six hours. No pain thank you.

It saddens me to write this review due to my very short interaction with Dr. Erakat. I brought my…read more15-year-old daughter into Dr. Erakat's office to remove her wisdom teeth for a consultation. I did a lot of research on dental surgeons in NJ, and we were impressed with his reviews and expertise. Unfortunately, Dr. Erakat's lack of bedside manner and professionalism has deterred my daughter and me from moving forward with the surgery with his practice. Dr. Erakat walked into the room and immediately started to talk about my daughter's dental images. This was our first time at the office, we'd never met him before, and a preschooler would've known to walk in and at least say, "Hi, how are you? I'm Dr. Erakat" then lead into your spiel. So he came in and started talking at us, talking as if my daughter was an adult like I wasn't in the room, and he never checked to see if we had any knowledge about anesthesia or the procedure in general. After he finished talking at us, I looked at him and said, "Hello, nice to meet you," to give him a hint that he was shrewd and rude. Dr. Erakat spent maybe 5 minutes with us in total. He was very short, especially when I informed him that my daughter would be having a deviated septum surgery and asked him if there was a preference to have one of the surgeries before the other and the waiting period between surgeries. I've worked with and have seen an array of doctors, and unfortunately, Dr. Erakat was one of the rudest I've encountered. If the person going to perform surgery on my child can't give her the time and attention she deserves to make her feel comfortable, I don't want them anywhere near her. We will NOT return nor recommend this dental office. I don't know if Dr. Erakat is just really busy or if he didn't want to work with us. Either way, we will find a dentist that greets us, takes the time to explain the procedure, and someone who actually wants to work with us.

If he did, he would…read morehave suggested I keep my wisdom teeth embedded in my jaw when my incompetent and careless orthodontist referred me to him again for wisdom teeth removal. Not everyone needs their wisdom teeth removed. For some, the risks don't outweigh the benefits. I had a rare and complicated orthodontic case with 4 premolars removed and then when I was 14, Dr. Levine did surgery to expose my 4 impacted canine teeth. At age 18, I questioned Dr. Levine about whether I should get my wisdom teeth removed - shouldn't I try to keep them? Finally he doubtfully said I could try but that I'd definitely need braces again. He is not an orthodontist, and if he were being honest, he would have told me either way I would need braces again. After feeling ashamed about my teeth for my entire adolescence there was nothing I wanted less than to have braces again. That convinced me. That was stupid, they're called wisdom teeth for a reason. I now have gaps in my upper teeth that opened shortly after my wisdom teeth was removed. I remember the last time I saw my pediatric dentist, which was a few months after I got my wisdom teeth removed, he said he was EXCITED about my wisdom teeth. I said quietly I got them removed. Later, I was in the chair and he was looking at my mouth, almost looking to see if my wisdom teeth were growing in when I complained about the gap that had opened up between my two front teeth. He said OH, that will close up when your wisdom teeth grow in. Well, then I made it clear they were gone and he had a horrified look on his face. He was clearly upset this was done to me. My upper 2nd molar is now twisted out toward my cheek on one side because there is so much space behind it where my wisdom teeth would have likely grown in fine. When I go to the dentist, they lament "you poor thing" "what happened to you" and pity me. Thanks to Doctor Levine who did not care enough to give me good advice and instead chose to line his own pockets. Dr. Levine was trained as a dentist was and he knew this along with jaw issues would happen to me. Now that my brain and jaws are fully developed, I realize I was treated like I was done growing at 12 years old and this gave me the false idea that I could never be enough. He loves ripping peoples teeth out a bit too much. He chooses money over the health of his patients. Doctors will lie and give unsound medical advice for money and to make their jobs easier. Dr. Levine is in on this corruption. I suggest avoiding this place on principle.
