I was in search of a surgeon who would remove it and scheduled an appointment with Dr. O. (as the office staff refer to him). I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a professional in all of my 66 years of life on this earth! Every statement he made was a direct insult in response to my telling him that the bone loss was causing the implant failure. He told me 'you are just repeating what you heard. We all have bone loss. You have no idea why you are in pain and it shows a lack of intelligence for you to say you know what it is! It could be something else'. He was cold and callous and expressed no compassion for the fact that I have been experiencing intermittent pain for 10 months. I walked out of that office humiliated and dejected. I cried on my way to the car and needed 10 minutes before I could compose myself to drive home. I have since gone to a periodontist who told me the answer was simple. As I already knew, the implant needs to be removed and a bone graft done. I believe I was a victim of sexism and ageism by this 'so called professional'. Also, Jaret, his assistant who was very kind to me prior to the doctor arriving, just stood by and seemed unphased by his behavior. I have taken the time to write this as the public needs to know. I do not think there is another oral surgeon that I would have such faith in to do the procedures. Dr. Sansevere and his staff are caring, calling after the procedure to make sure that I was fine, and have taken incredible steps to ensure there is little chance of any complications. His staff are incredibly friendly and put you at ease, I may have a lot more work done on my teeth in the upcoming years, and I will be going to Dr. Sansevere for the procedures. A wonderful doctor and a fantastic human being.

First the bad: I waited over an hour in the dentist chair before anyone helped me. I did have an dental assistant seat me and check in a couple of times. Turns out the day I needed to get in, which was a squeeze-in appointment, only one dentist was on duty. Normally I would walk out after an hour, but knowing this was a quickly scheduled visit I was understanding of the wait. However, it really leads me to The Good. The Good: The Dental Assistant, Asif, understood why I hadn't gone in so long and took great care in the X-Rays. His bedside manner and patient care were phenomenal. He was very alert and kind. Then when the dentist did come my way, she took her time, didn't rush things, and put together what I believe to be a comprehensive plan to get me back on track to good dental health. The hygienist even made time to probe me to find out what kind of cleaning appointment I would need, once some of the other work is done. In a nutshell, it was worth the wait, and then some! I know this was a first visit, but I really liked the people - even the receptionist was welcoming. Based on some of the other reviews I have read here, I wonder if some of the problems people encounter are either one-offs or self-driven. People tend to mirror what they see in others and if you put out negativity you almost always end up getting it reflected back at you. At any rate, I can't believe I am actually rating a dentist, but it was that good of a visit!

I had a first appointment in the morning and had to wait a half an hour just to be seen. They took…read morex-rays and then the dentist said they will make a plan for cleaning. I told them I did not want a deep cleaning and they were insistent that they will not treat me or see me if I do not accept a deep cleaning. This is a way for a dentist to get more money out of a patient. I would never go back to this place.
