Me and my wife are new patients of Bowden Family Dental. Found this dental office thru Google and…read morewe were able to request an appointment to Roy, Office Manager, without any hassle. He responded to my inquiries in a timely manner. He is professional and efficient that all the things needed for the appointment were all done before the appointment date. No burden, no paperwork to do on that day of appointment. Day of appointment, Dr. Myrna Eskandar a.k.a. Dr. E created a warm and positive environment. Roy even offered us coffee or water which are visible in the waiting room. Dental staffs are courteous and operates with high standards. They did show genuine concern for our well being. Dr. Myrna Eskandar, our assigned service provider explained the procedures, what to expect, as well as treatment options. She is knowledgeable and skilled in explaining everything, asking questions and listening to our concerns. Dr. E and her staff handled us with patience and understanding. We were comfortable, at ease and relaxed during our visit. It was a highly excellent, wonderful experience for me and my wife. Facility adheres to high quality hygiene standards, uses up to date technologies. Facility is well properly maintained . Clean and orderly. Bowden Family Dental made our visit a great one. Thank you very much.

The music is very loud and not at all calming. The television was on and the staff was talking loudly. Not at all a professional office. The bill for x-rays and one filling was well over $1000. My insurance company paid most of it with the additional comments that the charge exceeds the area's usual and customary charges. I guess the care was fine. Time will tell.

This was my first visit here. I have shamefully not been to a dentist in well over 6 years, so it…read moregoes without saying this will not be my last visit. First the bad: I waited over an hour in the dentist chair before anyone helped me. I did have an dental assistant seat me and check in a couple of times. Turns out the day I needed to get in, which was a squeeze-in appointment, only one dentist was on duty. Normally I would walk out after an hour, but knowing this was a quickly scheduled visit I was understanding of the wait. However, it really leads me to The Good. The Good: The Dental Assistant, Asif, understood why I hadn't gone in so long and took great care in the X-Rays. His bedside manner and patient care were phenomenal. He was very alert and kind. Then when the dentist did come my way, she took her time, didn't rush things, and put together what I believe to be a comprehensive plan to get me back on track to good dental health. The hygienist even made time to probe me to find out what kind of cleaning appointment I would need, once some of the other work is done. In a nutshell, it was worth the wait, and then some! I know this was a first visit, but I really liked the people - even the receptionist was welcoming. Based on some of the other reviews I have read here, I wonder if some of the problems people encounter are either one-offs or self-driven. People tend to mirror what they see in others and if you put out negativity you almost always end up getting it reflected back at you. At any rate, I can't believe I am actually rating a dentist, but it was that good of a visit!

I had a first appointment in the morning and had to wait a half an hour just to be seen. They took…read morex-rays and then the dentist said they will make a plan for cleaning. I told them I did not want a deep cleaning and they were insistent that they will not treat me or see me if I do not accept a deep cleaning. This is a way for a dentist to get more money out of a patient. I would never go back to this place.

He was so honest regarding what veneers would and would no do for me (as I have tetracycline staining from in utero) when he could have easily taken my money and let me be unhappy in the long run. And he didn't! He took the time to explain pros and cons (for my circumstances) and helped me develop a plan to get my best smile! To say a 5 hour drive was worth every minute says a lot! And it was!! Thank you Dr DeCasperis, Susie, and team for everything!! Happy New Year and see you soon!

A good dental experience ruined by unfair billing and general greed…read more My family was visiting this office because it was covered by my insurance. It was very nice, they are an "upscale" dental practice, and had all the amenities. The dentist was very pleasant and did good work. Unfortunately, due to an error, my insurance changed to a DMO, and they refused to pay for the work that was done. This change occurred right when we had our whole family go in and have major work done. We received a bill for over $4000 for the work. I called the office to discuss the issue and was told that they would not "help me out" and accept the dollar amount that the insurance would have paid them, but rather were seeking out the full cash price that an uninsured person would pay. There is absolutely no reason for this other than pure greed. They were never going to get $4k for this work, until they discovered I was uninsured. Now they are taking advantage. I'm not asking for charity, but I do want to be treated fairly, especially since they should have pre-qualified me prior to doing the work. There is a silver lining to this story. My new dentist does the same quality of work for almost half the cost, so my after-insurance price is lower.
