They replaced our floors and worked with the insurance to get everything covered and not have everything on our shoulders. We also paid them separately to replace our backsplash. At first we were happy with the floors. In our inexperienced opinions, it looked great. There were a couple of areas where it felt like the floor had some movement, but we trusted in their professionalism and didn't say anything because "maybe that's how it's supposed to be". The backsplash was not the cleanest work, but after having been out of my house for months, I didn't want anymore work to be done on it so I swallowed that pill and left it alone. Fast-forward to 2023, the floor starts peeling. Little bits of the edges of the tiles are peeling. We don't do anything harsh in our house like drag furniture everyday. Life happens and now it's 2024 and the floors have gotten worse and more little sections have started popping up. We contact property medics and they inform us that their work is only guaranteed for a year and that we can have the manufacturer come out and examine the floor. So we go through the back and forth of getting someone out here from both PM and the manufacturer. PM says it's the floors, and the floors say it's PM. per the findings of the manufacturer, the floor was not leveled during installation and that is causing the flooring to chip at the edges which in turn is causing the flooring to peel. The response from Property Medics was "Unfortunately, the warranty period expired in Dec. of 2022.  As we discussed onsite earlier this year the labor warranty is for one year and we would need the material warranty to kick in to be able to address the floors." I understand the warranty only being a year, but if the floors were never leveled, how is that not voiding the warranty? This is just very upsetting that now I'm going to have to pay for work that should have been done correctly to begin with.

As usual I came right to Yelp to find a service provider after all the awesome reviews I decided to go with Dirt Blasters. I called Ken and he was so easy to talk to and booking was a breeze. He ended up calling the day before my actual appointment with a opening which was perfect as one of my dogs decided he wanted to christen the new carpet by peeing an hour before my appointment. I didn't think the carpet was as bad but after Ken showed me some spots I realized it needed a lot more work and Ken so graciously worked within our budget as I hadn't planned for the extent of the carpet. He did such a tremendous job and gave me even more tips to maintain carpet with all the dog hair that accumulates with ( 2 bulldogs). I know that for our carpet maintenance until we get hardwood and even after that it's a no brainer to give Ken a call. GREAT SERVICE We…read morepurchased a two-piece microfiber sectional from a homeowner who cooked with a LOT of curry. The home was dark so we did not notice the deep, dark stains until it came home with us and, the smell was so overpowering that we had to close off the room. Ken worked very hard and cleaned the sectional well. He was careful to explain the process and gave us options for removing the deep, dark stains. What was so impressive is that he created a custom, chemical-free, blend of essential oils for us to use to freshen the room. KEN GOES ABOVE & BEYOND The next day Ken called to check on the status of our sofa and when I mentioned that some areas had a lightened significantly but not cleared, he returned to our home and treated the entire sectional! Looks great and the curry scent is 95% gone (only came up again when wet. no scent in the dry sofa.)

I waited five days after work was done to write this so any temporary effect would pass...you know how sometimes carpets look great right after while drying, then a few days later when dry, stains reappear and you see the work was shoddy - surely NOT the case with this work!) No complaints there whatsoever. The problem? The quote came in at $1,300. For those repairs. I nearly fell off my toilet (the one that still needed fixing). That pricing is simply impossible to justify for the scope of work involved, and I couldn't in good conscience move forward with it. It's a shame, because the service experience up to that point was solid. But when your pricing is this far out of line with reality, it makes it hard to recommend or return. Do yourself a favor and get a few quotes before committing to Roto-Rooter.
