    hot Indian breakfast @10 am!
    Padma A.

Great idea for Indian breakfast @9am ...... lines galore in the grocery store for South Indian breakfast items idli , chutney, sambhar, poori and curry, vada and pongal. I haven't had this experience in the last 24 years in America. Throughly enjoyed the experience on their picnic tables with my friends.

This is most unpleasant Goat Biryani I ever saw and ate in my life. How in the world you are even selling it as Goat Biryani.. A plain and simple khichdi will taste better than this. I will not recommend anyone buying Biryani from here at all.

Great place to pick up authentic Indian food at an amazing price. The samosas and chai is out of the world.

Amazing place to shop for food, snacks, and groceries. Amongst all Indian stores in the area, this is the best.

Their food or service or ownership is not reliable. I found staple in their food, which poked my jaw and sent me to doctor.

When I come to Fresh International Market, I don't come to shop, I come to eat. As someone who…read morevalues the bang for your buck, a place that will offer you rice and three sides for less than $12 is always going to make me happy. Okay, I am not going to forget the rest of the store. Fresh International is the closest place to me that does Chinese centric groceries, which is a necessity at times. Sure, H-Mart is closer to me, but some days I just prefer using the soft Chinese tofu instead of the Korean option. Not only that, but they have a better selection of rice and other snacks and treats. There is a seafood counter, butcher, a bakery attached, and the main attraction for me, their hot bar. The hot bar is cafeteria style in which you point to what you want in front of you. There is a blend of traditional Chinese options and some other more Americanized options. They have all different types of meats, including steamed fish, pork, chicken, etc, as well as tofu and vegetable options. The most expensive option is the $10.99 rice and three options, which is already a bargain in this economy. The food itself is solid for the price, and is very fulfilling. I would totally have this every lunch! Attached to the hot bar is the Chinese BBQ section. There, you can get roast pork, duck and other fresh meats. Their roast pork with the crispy skin absolutely rocks. The meat is tender and the skin is crispy and crunchy. My only problem with Fresh International are their hours. Their hot bar closes at 6:30 PM, while the store stays open until 9. I came at 7:00 PM and they were already wrapped up! Bummer! Make sure to come at lunch while the food is hot and fresh!

Fresh International Market's hot bar has solid value, but the overall experience was just okay…read more The biggest positive is the portion size. For $10.99 (three-item plate), you get a very generous amount of food, which is hard to beat. There are also a decent number of meat options to choose from. That said, the selection felt limited for anyone going meat-free, and more importantly, the food itself lacked flavor. The mapo tofu was disappointing, and the bok choy was pretty bland. Others in our group tried the orange chicken, which was described as okay, but nothing anyone would go out of their way for. Overall, it's filling and affordable, but not particularly memorable. Good for quantity, just not quality or standout flavor.

It had the sweet and savory flavors going on, and although it was a little bit soggy, I enjoyed it. If you're craving some chaat, this works in a pinch. You can even order online and then pick it up. The grocery store also has a very nice collection of Indian ingredients, so I stayed to shop for a bit.

Only went here to buy mango lassi, which is available in Bombay Central's desserts concession…read more Been here twice already; the first time, I had to wait for the lady who was supposed to be behind the desserts concession, and she wasn't friendly. One of the cashiers also just glanced at me as if I wasn't welcome here. The space of this Indian grocery is quite large, and the whole place looked clean. They offer authentic Indian products, most of which I'm not familiar with. I just bought 1 mango lassi on each of my 2 visits. It cost about about $5+ but the first time, I was charged with convenience fee for using my debit card because I spent less than $10 - So unprofessional! The second time, I just used cash to avoid paying the convenience fee. Mango lassi was good: creamy, refreshing mango taste with a lot of cardamom. It's quite sweet; sweeter than most mango lassis we tried. My girl thought it was too sweet. I slightly agreed but I would probably buy this again if they ever decide to get rid of that ridiculous fee. | Overall Score: 3.4/5
