Discovered this site yesterday morning, and was able to get an appointment with Josie last night. I…read morehadn't had a massage in over a year, and this one made up for it! Josie's space is peaceful; she's very good at what she does. She was easy to communicate with re: pressure preferences & areas that needed more attention. Most importantly I just wanted to feel more relaxed; success! Thank you so much, Josie! Go see her!

Josie has magical hands that greatly reduced my neck pain!…read more I saw her today for the 1st time and after just one 45 minute session I went from barely being able to move my head from side to side to full motion without any discomfort! She offered to use a CBD Hemp oil and I'm so glad she did because the combo of her message and the oil made a huge difference. Josie was also very chill, fun to chat with, and made me feel so comfortable. Her studio is relaxing and very convenient to get to- tons of easy/free parking- I got a great spot right in front of the paint store which her studio is located above. I had a little bit of trouble booking my appointment online (because I am pretty bad with technology- I don't think it was her system) So I gave her a call and she was able to squeeze me in for an earlier appointment than what was listed online which was even more convenient for my schedule. All in all, if you are looking for a great masseuse in Milwaukee, look no further- Josie is the person to see!!!

I am a massage enthusiast. I have gotten a lot of massages, across the entire spectrum from 5-star…read morespas to the sketchy cash only strip mall places. This massage ranked as the worst massage I've ever had. The masseuse did not attempt to use any amount of pressure throughout the entire massage and she lacked any type of massage skill or technique. I question whether she even had any training? She sat on a stool through most of the massage which was also odd. She asked me to keep my underwear on (not that I'm a perv but that's not typical) and did not touch anywhere on my body between my mid-thigh and lower back. The entire massage was basically random light brushing strokes with no rhyme or reason with almost no lotion. The prices here are very low, which should have clued me to the expected quality of this massage. However, I have had massages at similar prices that were significantly better. The most comical part is that when I went to pay, they tried to up-charge me for a "deep tissue massage" vs the "relaxation massage". There was no mention of that prior to the massage beginning, and there was certainly NO elements of deep tissue anything in this massage. In fact, this masseuse failed to even palpate a single knot on my back!! Do not waste your money. Seriously. Spend the extra money and go somewhere where they actually know what they are doing and where you'll gain some kind of therapeutic benefit from the experience.

I had a Groupon for a 90-minute massage with hot cocoa and paraffin…read more The door was open when I came up to the 3rd floor where the room is located. Irena was doing paperwork (?) on the counter with her back to the door and when I walked in and announced myself, she kept her back to me and acknowledged me. But it wasn't a welcome you'd expect from a business. I thought it was weird, since all the reviews said she was friendly and chatty. My first impression was that she was uninviting. She turned around once to tell me to fill out her form, then went back to doing her paperwork. And then there was silence for the next few minutes as I filled out the forms. When I finished, she finally came over, took down my Groupon, and turned into a different person. lol. Just like everyone else said, she was chatty! By the time I left, I felt like I knew her whole family and history. I didn't mind. I'm ok with listening, as long as I'm not asked a lot of questions. She began with the hand paraffin. I've gotten them done before and it's always just a meh for me. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I got it since it was included in the Groupon, but I wouldn't buy it otherwise. Then she stepped out while I undressed and got on the massage table. It was heated to a very comfortable temperature. I wish she had provided a towel-robe, but I'm not too shy and she kept me well covered throughout the massage. The massage itself was superb. I had some crazy knots on my back because I haven't gotten a proper massage since covid and she really worked those out. I had mentioned they were problem areas before starting, and she really spent the time to take it taken care of. I was sore for two days afterwards, but in a good way. As she was quite talkative, I did mutter some uh-huh's and lol's and aww's. And asked her a few questions. But I held myself back from asking questions after the first two, because she got excited and answered my questions, but stopped the massage to respond. Oh, and per covid, she kept her mask on through the whole session. I was given the option to keep it on or off. As for the hot cocoa, she didn't offer it until I asked for it. So it's not like she has it ready for you at any time. Not sure whether she remembers that the Groupon includes it. But when I asked for it, she took out her coffee pot and cocoa mix to make me a cup. I was actually just thirsty after the massage, so when I saw that she was going to start making the hot cocoa after I asked for it, I asked her if she just had a bottled water I could drink instead, and she was very happy to give me a bottle. Even offered 2. And said that she could still make the hot cocoa if I wanted it. I was warm and soft and all I really wanted was the water, so that's all I took though. All in all, not your upscale, posh experience, but a great massage with strong hands.

Bummer. I felt all out-of-whack in my own body and needed to be realigned. My understanding of Rolfing as a discipline was next to none, other than a familiarity to the name when I would see ads in Whole Life Times Mag. Yet I found myself looking up rolfers on yelp and Rolfworks/Lynn looked best with all glowing reviews. Sounds good to me. I called to make an appointment and the next one for new clients was in 2 months! Say what?!?! I was in pain but in demand means quality work right? Ok sign me up! I will wait.. and I am so glad I did. Lynn practices out of her home on the eastside of town. The spacious treatment room located upstairs is very clean and inviting. She's got a warm, quiet, grounded demeanor... a practitioner you can really open up and trust. I just completed the 10 Session series with Lynn and while my posture is not perfect, she's worked miracles on it. My sessions were never painful and I always walk out of her purple victorian feeling rejuvenated. You know when a healer has that magic touch... an intuitive knowing of which spot to press and work on? Lynn's got that gift and combined with a deep understanding of her craft and continuously learning new skills (she's always taking new classes)... it's a stellar combination. My last session was a few weeks ago and I am still feeling the benefits of her work on a daily basis. She's taught me exercises to do at home to strengthen my legs and feet, as well being more aware of my body in space. My fascia/connective tissues are so so thankful for her gentle and powerful touch. I am standing taller, walking better all because of her. If your body is needing a little or a ton of TLC... Lynn's your girl. And when you arrive for your appointment and see the big black dog chillin' by the door? Don't be scared... she's a sweetie. Open the door and Lynn will greet you with a smile and help you along your merry way... with more spring in your step!

As a musician with a host of playing related aches and pains, I've tried many different types of body work over the years. Admittedly, some have worked better for me than others. Rolfing has been a great discovery - and not just Rolfing, but specifically LYNN! She is kind, generous, intuitive, wise, gentle and just an all around wonderful person! She takes the time to figure out exactly what is going on with you in particular. Her work is methodical and she explains exactly what she's doing, how it all works, what it may feel like, how it will help ... she's truly one of a kind! Every time I leave a session with Lynn I feel like a new person. I'm a little more dialed in with how to use my body and how to use it to avoid injury ... and I sleep like a baby that night, too! Lynn is without question, the best!
