Sarah is the best masseuse I've ever experienced. She is pure Magic! Her prices are more than reasonable and well worth it.

She is very educated and skilled and a true professional. I can not say enough good things about her business. She has cured me of living with intense amounts of pain. I am so grateful! If you do not have experiene with rolfing - be open minded and give it a try. So many people seem to have the wrong idea about this amazing practice. It is no more painful than a deep tissue or sport massage. Give it a try. And look no further than Lynn Cohen!!!!!

Years of sitting on the floor with my laptop, hunching over drawings and general disregard left me…read morewith an achy body and a collapsed S-curve... so much so that when I went to an acupuncture office they asked me if I was in a serious car accident! Bummer. I felt all out-of-whack in my own body and needed to be realigned. My understanding of Rolfing as a discipline was next to none, other than a familiarity to the name when I would see ads in Whole Life Times Mag. Yet I found myself looking up rolfers on yelp and Rolfworks/Lynn looked best with all glowing reviews. Sounds good to me. I called to make an appointment and the next one for new clients was in 2 months! Say what?!?! I was in pain but in demand means quality work right? Ok sign me up! I will wait.. and I am so glad I did. Lynn practices out of her home on the eastside of town. The spacious treatment room located upstairs is very clean and inviting. She's got a warm, quiet, grounded demeanor... a practitioner you can really open up and trust. I just completed the 10 Session series with Lynn and while my posture is not perfect, she's worked miracles on it. My sessions were never painful and I always walk out of her purple victorian feeling rejuvenated. You know when a healer has that magic touch... an intuitive knowing of which spot to press and work on? Lynn's got that gift and combined with a deep understanding of her craft and continuously learning new skills (she's always taking new classes)... it's a stellar combination. My last session was a few weeks ago and I am still feeling the benefits of her work on a daily basis. She's taught me exercises to do at home to strengthen my legs and feet, as well being more aware of my body in space. My fascia/connective tissues are so so thankful for her gentle and powerful touch. I am standing taller, walking better all because of her. If your body is needing a little or a ton of TLC... Lynn's your girl. And when you arrive for your appointment and see the big black dog chillin' by the door? Don't be scared... she's a sweetie. Open the door and Lynn will greet you with a smile and help you along your merry way... with more spring in your step!

But no itchy itch afterwards. Acupuncture needles are not pointy or hollow and are about as thin as a strand of hair. See, mosquito sized. And you're a Wisconsinite, gosh darn it you are well experienced with mosquitoes! So no need to be worried about needles. If I can do it anyone can, just ask my accupuncture practitioner. Milwaukee Community Acupuncture operates on a pay what you can fee structure, with a fee scale ranging from $15-40 a treatment. They also have punch cards. Dude. Dude, I love punch cards. Pay for 10 treatments and get 11 sessions. Yep. There is complementary Rishi tea. Yep. The setting itself is incredibly relaxing. Soft music, white noise machines, plants. No exam tables, but recliners and blankets. Even little eye mask pillow thingies. Acupuncture here is done in one large space. You'll stay clothed. Take your shoes and socks off, roll your pants up a few inches and have your arms accessable. No peep shows going on here. They just put all these needles in me, now what? You'll get really relaxed. Some people fall asleep. Your worries become lighter and distant. You'll get to rest for around 40-60 minutes. I suggest that you come in for accupuncture when you're not pressed for time as you'll get much more relaxed. They offer easy online scheduling and have appointments seven days a week and evening appointments during the weekdays. Maybe you're having a bad day like I did today, then you can just hop online and schedule a same day appointment which are often easily available. Acupuncture etiquette: Speak softly throughout the space so as to allow for a restful environment. Refrain from wearing strong smelling perfumes etc so as to allow for a restful environment. Milwaukee Community Acupuncture also has many other health services onsite including yoga, massage, reiki, chiropractic, cupping, and more. Many of these services are also on a sliding fee scale. Affordable yoga! I love Milwaukee Community Acupuncture.
