We have been very pleased with Sue and the support she has provided. From the moment my dad started seeing her for guidance on managing his kidney health, my dad has felt completely supported and well-informed. Sue's deep knowledge of renal nutrition, paired with a compassionate, personalized approach, has made a significant difference in my dad's journey toward better health. Sue's ability to tailor the diet plan specifically to my dad's needs, taking into consideration his kidney function, preferences, and lifestyle, has been very helpful. She has her patients track their food intake on an app as well as their water, activity, metrics (blood pressure, weight, height, glucose, etc.), bowel movements, symptoms, and additional notes. She is interactive and provides feedback between meetings to allow the patient to implement recommendations before the next meeting. Additionally, she reviews blood work in between meetings and addresses concerns immediately as she sees fit. She has helped my dad understand how to manage sodium, potassium, and protein intake in a way that feels manageable and sustainable--not restrictive. She provided easy-to-understand explanations and practical tips that have truly made a positive impact on his daily routine. She is always patient and available to answer questions, whether during meetings or via follow-up communication. It's evident she genuinely cares about her patients' well-being. Both my dad and I have learned so much about how to take better care of his health and we are hoping his kidney health improves as a result over the next few months. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, kind, and dedicated dietitian who specializes in kidney care, we cannot recommend Sue enough. We are so grateful for her expertise and support.

When I arrived for my appointment, she was in the lobby to greet me and show me to her office. Her office was comfortable and casual. Diana was easy to get along with as she has a wonderful demeanor. In our appointment, she looked up tools and menus to fit my specific dietary needs. She took notes throughout our appointment, and she later emailed me to provide those notes. My PCP recommended I see a Dietician due to health issues I wanted to address and correct. My insurance listed Mr. John Canlas as a covered entity, so I decided to book a session with him in person. The parking is pretty ample in the underground garage and getting to the office is really easy as well. There is a nice waiting area before he came out to greet me and we spoke in his office. John was very welcoming and wanted to address why I wanted to be there. He was there to guide me in the direction I wanted to go towards. He first listened to what I wanted to get out of my session with him and he created a plan to help address it. I know I needed to eat healthier and improve a lot of my well being, so he helped create that path for me. After a couple of sessions with John, I feel a lot better with my body now. I have improved a lot in not only cooking skills, but knowing what I am putting into my body and still be able to enjoy foods. He holds me accountable and encourages me still in achieving my goals. I highly recommend seeing John as he has been one amazing Dietician to work with.

Both times, I hesitated because of the cost -- I told myself I was already paying for insurance, so why pay out of pocket for something extra? That decision cost me more than money. I've been dealing with serious health issues since 2018, and I didn't see real progress in my treatment until I finally integrated Shanti into my care team. After a few years working with her, I'm in the best health I can remember in years -- and honestly, the turnaround still shocks me. Shanti has been the cornerstone connecting the dots across a complicated health picture: major weight and puffiness fluctuations, food reactions and allergies, MCAS/histamine issues, mold, migraines, headaches, and joint pain -- all while juggling multiple doctors and endless investigative work. She's been there on the days I could barely move or eat, in real pain and down, and she's helped me build a fuller care team rather than trying to be everything herself. She got me OFF the endless cycle of adding supplements and protocols, and taught me to simplify and actually listen to my body. She's patient, she remembers every detail of my history so I never feel like a number, and she adapts to what's realistic for me rather than forcing one rigid method or diet. We've also gone deeper than the physical -- into the inner work of trauma, stress, and old patterns -- and worked through how my health connects to my marriage, family, work, and travel. What sets Shanti apart is her whole-body, natural approach. She's not someone who pushes a Western medicine fix for everything--she's incredibly attuned to the body's natural rhythms and honors the simplicity and wisdom of how we're built. She challenges me in the best ways, always pushing me toward actual growth while being emotionally supportive and truly caring along the way. And honestly--her approach works. I've been dealing with insulin resistance and hormonal shifts, and in just two months I've experienced a major, positive transformation in how I feel and how my body functions. I first worked with Shanti before my wedding and reached my goals, and came back to her when I decided to come off birth control. The results have been even more powerful the second time around. At the time, I was in a major life transition leaving a fast paced and high stress job, to prioritize my well being and make intentional moves away from a "diet culture" mindset and disordered eating patterns. During this journey, I was also formally diagnosed with ADHD and PCOS. Nicole was an incredible source of support, helping me understand how these diagnoses could impact my dietary habits and choices. She took the time to learn about my lifestyle, goals, and challenges, and helped build an actionable plan that allowed me to shift my mindset and break old unhealthy routines. Most importantly, she helped me feel empowered and supported every step of the way and not overwhelmed. Nicole is a gem and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone seeking guidance in nutrition, dietary habits, or overall health lifestyle changes. It can be incredibly challenging to find healthcare professionals who are not only knowledgeable, but also compassionate and genuinely invested in your well being, with no strings attached. Throughout our sessions, I learned so much about my health and what my body truly needs and I never felt judged or alone in my journey. Nicole's consistent kindness, support, and empathy made a world of difference for me and I couldn't be more grateful. I've seen incredible improvements in my energy levels, mental health, sleep, and digestion and I truly couldn't have done it without her.

We both knew we weren't eating very well and that we wanted to change our approach to nutrition, but there are so many sources online, they all have conflicting information, and we didn't know where to start. When we met with Laura, she was patient, gave us information and tools that fit our needs, and helped us set up a "nutrition plan" that worked for us and our busy schedules. While we met with her in 2019, we still use our learnings to this day. We still do meal planning the way she suggested, we still prepare some of the recipes she suggested, and we find ourselves saying, "remember what Laura said about XYZ." If you're looking for a way to revamp your approach to food and nutrition, I HIGHLY recommend working with Laura. She will help you develop good nutrition habits for life.

I was frustrated, depressed, annoyed, and just simply hated food. Everything I ate had an adverse reaction, and i didn't know what I was supposed to do. Doctors were no help. Their solution is either attend a group nutrition class they offered (not specific to my needs), or just simply don't eat/drink things that are bothering you. ... Which really was everything. Prior to working with Laura, I interviewed 3-4 nutritionists/RDs. I explained the challenges I had along with my health challenges. Almost all of them told me they wanted me to switch to the fodmap diet right away. This is where Laura stood out. She actually listened, asked me to provide a food log for 4-5 days so she could understand my eating habits and how the food i was eating was making me feel. She carved out a plan that suited me. Fit my schedule. I still could eat things I liked or found a substitute. But most importantly, she helped me understand food, what i needed, and how to achieve my goals. It was a change, but one that worked and still works for me. I don't resent the things i've had to give up because i now understand how it affects me. The knowledge she shared has helped me recognize symptoms and avoid major pain and suffering. I highly recommend Laura. She is very knowledgeable, professional, works with you to fit your lifestyle. Change is necessary sometimes, but it doesn't mean you have to suffer and be miserable. Investing in Laura is a lifetime investment in yourself. Her solutions aren't a bandaid fix and she doesn't follow fads. She will guide you to healthier choices to meet your goals.
