Linda is an amazing nutritionist. She is so kind and sweet, as well as knowledgable and of course helpful. She is extremely flexible schedule-wise, and rate-wise. I have lost 30 pounds with her over the past 9 months losing about a pound a week with limited activity due to chronic pain issues. I can't imagine how much more I would've lost with consistent exercise. I still have more to lose but I am able to be successful on my own now thanks to Linda. Linda makes things very easy, and opens you up to new recipes and ways of thinking that keep you losing weight. There is no calorie tracking or constant weighing, just food journaling which is very helpful and which you could decide not to do although it is recommended. I recommend it as well. I can't thank Linda enough. I had a cholesterol problem that seems to be in my family, and even though I had a pretty healthy lifestyle and I thought diet, my doc was unhappy with my numbers...and gave me an 'ultimatum' that I either figure out a way to manage it myself or to go on meds. I know a lot of people find statins to be a 'get out of jail card' that allows you to eat whatever you want, but I'm of the mind that I don't find that to be the healthy solution...so I wanted to try to manage things myself if at all possible. So I went to see Linda. We had one meeting, and in that meeting we discussed my objectives, and she focused me on one thing..keeping my saturated fat intake down. We talked about my diet and what I needed to be doing in terms of the foods I was eating, and what to look for on product labels. I gave myself four months to see if it would work, and I was very disciplined about keeping saturated fat intake way down. The end of the story is that a few weeks ago I got tested again, and my overall level dropped by 60 points. All of my cholesterol numbers are now right where they should be. My doc is happy, and I am as well. No statins for me! So I would highly recommend Linda for any diet/nutrition problems, and for those who don't think it is worth trying to manage your cholesterol levels without drugs, go to Linda, work out a plan, and follow through. I contacted Linda because my 89 year old mother in law had an A1C of 6.3. I did not know what to do, not having had experience with this issue. With her excellent guidance, we changed her diet and brought her A1C down to 5.7, and she lost 43 lbs.
