The shopping plaza where the restaurant is located looks very old, it as soon as you walk into Sandrita's it's a whole other vibe. The decor it bright and modern. Pleasant to sit and eat in. The staff were simply phenomenal. Friendly and inviting. Got to chat it up with Diego and connected quite a bit about childhood memories growing up with Colombian influence. The food was phenomenal! The Cuban was packed with meats, perfectly assembled and pressed, and one of the most delicious the wife and I have had in Tampa Bay... and we've tried many. The Elena Ruth was such a pleasant surprise! A delicious mix of sweet and savory that reminds me of a sweet empanada mixed with a turkey sandwich. So good. Their cortadito is excellent. Their mango juice was delicious. So smooth. The wife and I will definitely be back!

Great sandwiches! Inside looks great and smells oh so good. Hint- park in back for less chaos. Be prepared to take food to go, only 2 tables inside. Everyone working is friendly. We got 2 Cubans, Elena Ruth and Media Noche. Cubans are huge! Sandritas recently won 2nd place at the Cuban Festival! Cuban was one of the better ones around town. Juicy with lots of pork and ham. Melty cheese and pickles with mustard. Traditional and good. The Elena Ruth was a surprise hit. Turkey, cream cheese, strawberry jam on media noche bread. Could almost be a dessert sandwich. It was so good and different. One of these and a Cuban is a perfect blend of sweet and salty. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

If you're in the mood for great coffee, an awesome Cuban sandwich, and some fresh juice, this place is a must-visit. It's super cozy and they offer some authentic Latin dishes. The place is small inside but the service was fantastic, they really make you feel at home. I had the Cuban sandwich and it was amazing. I'll definitely be back to try the rest!

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to try Sandrita's. It's so important to support our local small businesses. Although I am not well versed on Cuban Sandwiches I wanted to have one and see if everything them is true. And Sandrita's did not disappoint me at all. I had the Cuban Sandwich. It was overloaded with the tastiest meats. The flavor was amazing. And the press of the Cuban bread was perfect. I loved the crisp of the taste. My sandwich came with Plantain Chips which my daughter ate them in the car. They did not make it home. lol. My daughter got the Elena Ruth. And according to her it was "finger lickin good!" She literally licked her fingers. The food was great. And the service was amazing. So welcoming. So gracious. And the nicest people. We will definitely be back for sure.

Where in Tampa can you get pure Miami-style Cuban sandwiches made with plentiful in-house roasted pork? How about a nice colada or cafe con leche made with Columbian coffee? Sandrita's! This relatively new spot piles on the meat and skips the veggies. Diego, the owner, explained that lettuce, tomato and mayo are not part of his Miami Cuban! Neither is Italian salami which is essential to Tampa-style! Paola happily made our sandwiches while I chatted with Diego and learned about his family and pure vision for his business! Stay true and pure Diego! The sandwiches were great as was the coffee! Plus, fresh plantain chips were very tasty. Life is good with a new excellent Cuban sandwich spot in Tampa!

There's a new king of Cubans in Tampa. After having countless Cuban sandwiches in tampa my go to was the tried and true La Segunda, But after hearing the buzz around Sandrita's I needed to see for myself. The sandwich is quality from top to bottom and has really addressed the common shortcomings you've come to know in lots of local alternatives. The sandwich is absolutely enormous for the price point. After a brief chat with staff I can see the enthusiasm behind their product and happy to explore the rest of the menu as soon as I recover from this sandwich.

I ordered the Cuban sandwich here and the flan. The Cuban sandwich was amazing! Stuffed with lots of protein and the pickles give it a slight acidic balance to balance all the fats. It is pressed so the bread was nice and crispy. Still allowing for me to be very juicy in the middle. The flan was also nice and creamy not thing not chunky. The texture was nice and smooth, and the sweetness level was just right not too sweet. it is a more casual spot with a couple tables. And the service was awesome! The owner was very kind and great recommendations.

The elusive search for the "perfect" Cuban Sandwich brought me to Sandrita's today. This small family run shop in a strip center on Waters Ave  boasts a 2nd place finish in the annual Ybor City Cuban Sandwich Festival. Hosted today by Sandrita and her husband, the product did not disappoint. The heavy laden Cuban Sandwich was a delicious treat with an amazing slow roasted pork that was moist and well flavored. The wife had the Turkey and Swiss, which she happily claimed as one of the best she had eaten. The crispy plantain chips were a perfect side and I relished the fact that they were not too salty, a common occurence in other places. While there, I heard rave reviews about their Chicken Soup which I will try on my next visit. Quality products carefully constructed with love is another reason it was so good. They have pride in their product and are excited to talk about it. I can definitely recommend this place, come get ya some! Regarding my search for the perfect Cuban, this one missed my mark. Despite being a superlative treat, it was more of a pork sandwich with ham and swiss. For me, the perfect balance of ingredients is what my definition entails. They went into great detail about how special and rare their ham was and it unfortunately had no real presence as it was overshadowed by the tasty slow cooked pork.

This place had been on my list for a little while so glad I got to try it. The Cuban sandwich was excellent and I would like to go back during breakfast time to try the breakfast menu. Staff was very friendly and helpful and food came out fairly fast. There are only two tables inside so not many places to sit. You can stand at the counter to eat but no extra seats.

Wow what an amazing place... After hearing about this great little hot and new place in Tampa we had to check it out... Man hands down the best Cuban I have had in a long time!!! From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel like family with some awesome Latin hospitality... Quick to fill us in on all the pertinent info on the menu items we choose some fresh fruit juices and ordered one of there made to order "Stacked" Miami style Cuban sandwiches. These sandwiches are piled high with tons of sweet ham and tender pulled mojo pork... The bread was press toasted perfectly giving you that perfect crunch with every bite..All I can say is it was pure bliss to my taste buds!!! The owners were friendly and great to chat with while we enjoyed our meal. We spoke about their Cuban family history and their ties to the Tampa and Miami areas. There are tons of nostalgic photos of Cuba taken by the owners grandfather decorating the place and giving it that perfect touch. All in all our time here was well enjoyed as was the fantastic meal and memories we got to share and enjoy. I know for sure percent we will be back to hang out have a great Cuban sandwich and enjoy some classic Cafecito cubano in the near future that for sure...

Wow, amazing food and staff. Place is streamly clean. We will for sure be coming back. Sandrita the owner was very gracious and humble. You will not be disappointed with the food. Best Cuban sandwich and coffee in town.

Best Cuban sandwiches in town hands down! The place is nice and cozy, I felt very welcomed. The staff is really friendly and love what they do. Diego, the owner, was very attentive, and gave us a nice experience talking about the story of his family and the pictures on the wall. I had an Elena Ruth, which was MIND BLOWING (check the picture for the ingredients) and a pineapple juice. The ham and cheese sandwich and café con leche were amazing too. Definitely a place I would visit again!

My brother who lives there swore by this spot, and the second I walked into Mi Carreta, I knew he wasn't exaggerating. The Bandeja Paisa? Absolute perfection. We're talking perfectly grilled steak, a runny fried egg, sweet plantains, creamy red beans, fluffy white rice, fresh avocado, crispy chicharrón, and grilled chorizo--all on one glorious platter. I attacked it so fast I didn't even snap a photo, but trust me, that plate is burned into my memory forever. As if the food wasn't enough, the TV above the counter was showing the World Cup group draw live. We found out who Colombia is facing right there over lunch--talk about perfect timing! The whole place was buzzing. For the grand finale, we grabbed a few Colombian donuts (buñuelos and pandebonos) to go. Sweet, cheesy, impossible to eat just one.
